“Why go to Pappadeaux when you can get the same quality and portions for half the price. Yeah you give up a little in the area of atmosphere and it's in an area of town that might trouble you, but I've always chosen a restaurant on the basis of taste of food and the price for that quality of food. It IS the BEST Cajun food you're gonna get for the money. The owner often services your table and is flexible to menu variations. I hope he gets confident enough to open up another restaurant in a safer part of town. I know he will do well if he can just get people in there.“

“Fish Place is amazing. The best way to describe it is like a home cooked meal that makes you feel warm inside and good for your soul. We've had many things from their Cajun pasta, redfish with crawfish, ettoufee, jambalaya rice, red beans and rice, blackened chicken...and their veggies are AMAZING (green beans and mixed veggies esp). There hasn't been anything that we haven't liked yet, somehow we drove by it for years before trying it out, don't make the same mistake!“

“My husband brought me here to celebrate clear scans from my oncologist. It was my first time eating here and it was DELICIOUS! The complimentary bread and butter was so yummy, and the lump crab spinach dip was delectable! My husband ordered the cajun chicken tenders and was very pleased. I ordered the crawfish etouffee and it was the best etouffee I've ever had. Our waiter, D, was so awesome and on top of everything. I couldn't decide between 2 drinks, the Lifes a Peach or Purple Voodoo, so I asked his opinion and said peach. I ordered Life's a Peach and it was so good. Very very happy with my experience and I hope to come back some day.“

Everything is well seasoned and flavorful, and they just let the ingredients speak for themselves. That's good cooking. My wife loves the oyster poboy. I'm gonna try that one next... Not only was the place nice and clean but the food was hot, fresh and delicious. Our family is from Houma, La and that was literally the best shrimp and grits we’ve ever eaten! A huge shoutout to the owner as well! He was so kind and told us how he came to start his restaurant. I literally cannot recommend this place enough 🥹❤️“

“Great variety of seafood & Cajun dishes on their extensive menu. Their “Kitchen” flavor is very citrus and unique for Viet-Cajun. We enjoy the garlic butter & cajun seasoning. There’s coconut snails, garlic butter escargot, fried catfish & crawfish tails, pan roast, and fried rice too! My son loves their garlic noodles with large crab chunks! The food looked so good on Facebook, but the amazing taste when covering with the Crack sauce. I will definitely be back next year during crawfish season. 😋. If the seafood was this good, I cannot imagine how good the crawfish is.“
