“The seafood here is so fresh and absolutely delicious! If you order fried food be sure to order it “seasoned.” My recommendation: seafood gumbo and the Mate Plate seasoned. You choose two proteins. I like the fried catfish filets and fried shrimp with hush puppies. If you prefer, they can broil the proteins. SO GOOD!“

“This was my first time eating at 7Spice, and I got the 1 lb. boiled shrimp combo with garlic butter, and I have no complaints. You can choose between the garlic butter and 7 Spice seasoning. The easiest way for me to describe the difference is that the garlic butter has a more subtle taste, while the 7 Spice has more of a kick to it. The shrimp were large and had a fresh, crunchy texture.

I also ordered 1 boudin ball because I had never tried one and was curious. It tastes exactly like what it looks like—boudin with a deep-fried outer coating.

The table layout inside is a little awkward and has a lot of room for improvement, which is why I only gave it 2 stars for atmosphere. Other than that, I had a good experience and look forward to coming back and trying one of their fried or blackened fish combos!“

“I absolutely looooooooovveeeeee this place its one of my favorite spots to eat. I always get a dozen bienville oysters with lump crab meat added and the lamb chop lollipops. Add a blueberry martini to it and OMG, you will have ypur taste buds in a frenzy. I get full every time but I still crave more when I'm done. That's the only downside to eating amazing food. You never want the experience to end. The atmosphere is so nice. I have eaten inside, at the bar, and on the patio and the service never disappoints.“

“Why go to Pappadeaux when you can get the same quality and portions for half the price. Yeah you give up a little in the area of atmosphere and it's in an area of town that might trouble you, but I've always chosen a restaurant on the basis of taste of food and the price for that quality of food. It IS the BEST Cajun food you're gonna get for the money. The owner often services your table and is flexible to menu variations. I hope he gets confident enough to open up another restaurant in a safer part of town. I know he will do well if he can just get people in there.“

“Great variety of seafood & Cajun dishes on their extensive menu. Their “Kitchen” flavor is very citrus and unique for Viet-Cajun. We enjoy the garlic butter & cajun seasoning. There’s coconut snails, garlic butter escargot, fried catfish & crawfish tails, pan roast, and fried rice too! My son loves their garlic noodles with large crab chunks! Friendly service from a mom & pop local restaurant. Highly recommend for your crawfish, crab, mussel, & shrimp cravings!“

“Fish Place is amazing. The best way to describe it is like a home cooked meal that makes you feel warm inside and good for your soul. We've had many things from their Cajun pasta, redfish with crawfish, ettoufee, jambalaya rice, red beans and rice, blackened chicken...and their veggies are AMAZING (green beans and mixed veggies esp). There hasn't been anything that we haven't liked yet, somehow we drove by it for years before trying it out, don't make the same mistake!“

The complimentary bread and butter was so yummy, and the lump crab spinach dip was delectable! My husband ordered the cajun chicken tenders and was very pleased. I ordered the crawfish etouffee and it was the best etouffee I've ever had. Our waiter, D, was so awesome and on top of everything. I couldn't decide between 2 drinks, the Lifes a Peach or Purple Voodoo, so I asked his opinion and said peach. I ordered Life's a Peach and it was so good. Very very happy with my experience and I hope to come back some day.“
