“I resisted going here due to previous reviews but due to inclimate weather, I didn't want to be traveling to a further location I usually go to. I was pleasantly surprised up on entering. The dining area was fairly large and quite attractive. All areas were clean. The food was freshly made and presented well. The workers did a good job with their service. The food was tasty. No problems at all. We will be going back to this location, again.“

“Server was very attentive. Lettuce wraps, potstickers, green beans were all very good. They took the eggplant dish off the menu & that was one of my favorites so we were a little disappointed. Overall, pretty nice place to meet with friends and enjoy a meal. Loved the 1/2 price wine on Wednesday deal.“

Great portions for a family. The spice are not too strong they are mil so if you prefer spicier things there might be other choices. In conclusion the staff, food and environment is good.“

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at the best Chinese rice noodle house in Chinatown Houston and it was an exceptional experience. This noodle house offers an array of mouthwatering appetizers that set the stage for an unforgettable meal. The star of the show was undoubtedly the Chinese rice noodles. They were perfectly cooked, with a delightful chewy texture that left me craving more. The wide variety of noodle options allowed for a customized dining experience, catering to all tastes. We tried their signature items like the chicken soup rice noodle and the Mala rice noodle soup. The appetizers were a highlight, with an extensive selection that included sticky rice cake, marinated pig feet, and cucumber salad. The sticky rice cake was a delightful blend of sweet and savory, with a satisfyingly chewy consistency. The marinated pig feet were tender and flavorful, a true delicacy. The cucumber salad provided a refreshing contrast to the rich flavors of the other dishes, with a delightful balance of tanginess and crunch. The service at JiBeiChuan noodle house was impeccable, and the staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with family and friends. Overall, this brand new Chinese rice noodle house is a must-visit for anyone looking to savor authentic and delicious Chinese cuisine. The combination of delectable rice noodles and a tantalizing selection of appetizers ensures an unforgettable culinary journey. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu. And since it’s a authentic Chinese franchising noodle house, I don’t have to fly back to China to enjoy it. Highly recommended and will definitely come back.“

“After literally visiting every other spot on Sugarland and Missouri City, we have this one a shot. It's a hidden gym with amazing food and pre-COVID prices. The place was so packed that it's a hit or miss whether or not youll find seating!“

“Food is as you would expect. Customer service was good. Cleanliness is lacking on a Wednesday afternoon. Tables need to be cleared and wiped down, floors are sticky. In their defense, they appear to be short staffed. The two here can't do everything. A little cleaning will go a long way. Don't let this place lose its shine.“

“This place slaps! Delicious Northwest Chinese cuisine. Truly don’t understand why it isn’t a 5 stars. You cannot find Xian-style hand pulled noodles in Houston. I usually get the oil splashed noodles and add beef. It’s delicious. Make sure to mix it before you start eating. I’ve also had the roujiamao burger here as well as it is another well-known dish from this part of China. People that work here are super nice. I always strike up a convo here and there trying to convince them to franchise. Wish it was closer to downtown, but it’s kinda one of those iykyk places. Sometimes it’s better like that.“

“I am very picky with American Chinese food, but my visit to PF Chang’s last week was rather enjoyable. The food was good (I could drink the sweet chili dipping sauce!) and the service was great, especially from my waitress, Chelsea! She was able to offer suggestions for my visit last week and for my next visit in the future.“

“Food was excellent and highly recommend the soup dumplings. The waitress was so nice and even talked us through suggestions on the menu of which we got and enjoyed a lot. Pork spare ribs, pork belly, and sweet and sour chicken were all great and again the pork soup dumplings were amazing too!“

“Got the mapo tofu, sizzling seafood with black bean sauce, hot spicy chicken, rice noodles with beef satay sauce, salty fish chicken eggplant clay pot (without fish). The black bean sauce on the seafood was delicious, and the noodles were also very good. I'm used to Sichuan mapo tofu, but this mapo tofu was a pleasant change. Our waitress kindly told us the salty fish was too salty, so we just got the eggplant and chicken. The chicken was a little lacking in flavor, but the eggplant was delicious. Fast and great service overall. Would love to come back to try congee and other dishes. This was great food for a rainy day“

“The General Tso, Lo Mein and Kung Pao and Mongolian dishes are the best. I usually get chicken or beef. They give you a lot of meat... It's not all vegetables and sauce like some Chinese restaurants.
Both egg rolls and wonton soup are delicious.
I like the little fried chips they bring before your food comes. They pair well with the duck sauce.
Crab puffs are mostly cream cheese, but not bad.
Honestly, I'm not a fan of their fried rice. Next time I'll ask for white rice.
The service is outstanding. They bring the food out right away and they're so friendly. Also, you can't beat the price! Best value in town. We live in Chinatown but we drive all the way to Happy Lamp for Chinese food.“

“A Hidden Gem That Proves Why It’s One of the Top 3 Best Chinese Restaurants in Houston
Flavor House (味来人家) has been around for three years, and honestly, it has become my go-to whenever I crave traditional, authentic Chinese food. But recently, they leveled up with a brand-new seafood series that feels like a “Crawfish World” collided with Chinese flavors — and let me tell you, it’s something you simply cannot miss.
Instead of crawfish season, imagine feasting on fatty blue crab, jumbo Gulf shrimp, marinated cucumber, golden potatoes, and savory sausage — all drenched in their signature garlic sauce. Whoever came up with this combination is a genius. That cucumber soaks in the garlic flavor perfectly, and when you add the potatoes and sausage, every bite is addictive. I ordered the entire seafood platter in different flavors, and it was so good I’ve already gone back multiple times.
But here’s the real kicker: once you finish the platter, don’t stop. Toss some noodles straight into the leftover garlic sauce, and suddenly you’ve unlocked a whole new universe of flavor. Honestly, it might be the best bite in Houston.
And the classics? Still unbeatable.
• Triple Fried Chicken: crispy outside, juicy and tender inside — never greasy, always satisfying.
• Deep-Fried Pork Ribs: my first time trying this and I was blown away. How did no one tell me this dish was hiding here all along? It’s crunchy, flavorful, and ridiculously good.
So whether you’re a fan of crawfish boils with the whole shebang, or you’re ready to challenge yourself with some of the best traditional Chinese food in Houston, Flavor House is where you need to be. This place is not just a meal — it’s an experience that keeps pulling you back.

“This is my first time having food from this restaurant. It was a takeout order and it was very good. I moved here to Texas from Chicago. Chicago has great Chinese food and to be honest I wasn’t so sure we would find it here in Texas, however, this was delicious. I had the chicken egg foo young with fried rice and it was so good and filling. The portion size was plentiful. Everything was packaged well and I appreciate that. There was enough for me to have for dinner the next day and it taste even better. I will be visiting again. Thank you!“

“⚠️OINK-O-RAMA⚠️ So much yummy variety of Bao; though closer to an open face version than the dumpling style many are accustomed too; Vivé la Différencē!
Saturday evening 10.27 & within an hour of closing I was nicely greeted and quickly served a Fish, the Korean Fried Chicken & the duck Bao.
Fish was the stand out, KFC was really good and absent the fish would be my face... the duck was delicious and had no obvious flaws but somehow felt less than the sum of its parts (?), still worth a go if fowl is your thing + very meaty.
RECOMMENDED!“

“Drive thru service was fast & friendly. Shrimp fried rice was fresh, hot and flavorful. Plenty of onions and bean sprouts just the way I like it. Only thing it was missing was egg. House Lo Mein was good, my mom enjoyed it. Egg rolls were standard. And mongolian beef was good. Cant wait to return & try more items.“

“Got take out from this place twice now. Excellent service and very flavorful food. I have tried the general tso, orange chicken, and sesame chicken. Their flavors are good, but they don’t make the chicken crispy if you’re looking for it that way. Fried rice is good, and whatever cut of chicken they use is fresh.“

“This is my favorite place to eat Chinese for the past year. Unbeatable prices and huge portions. Every time I go, it's full of Hispanics. They know the best deal in town and so do I! I always get their mushroom chicken which comes with plenty of spinach and meat. Huge portions. No need to tip as they usually have tip built in.“

“Northern Pasta in Houston is a hidden gem for anyone craving authentic and comforting Northern Chinese flavors. The 豆腐花 (tofu pudding) was silky and lightly sweet — a perfect way to start or end the meal. Their dumplings are clearly handmade, with juicy fillings and nicely textured wrappers, and the noodles are fresh, chewy, and full of flavor.
Everything tasted homemade and satisfying. If you’re looking for simple, well-executed dishes that hit the spot, Northern Pasta is definitely worth a visit.“

“Be prepared to eat with your hands! Their food and service was so good that I think we’ll become regulars. We got their lunch buffet. “Returned to Le Lai after a long absence. Quality of food still amazing. Mainly, proper Cantonese style cuisine. Service is generally fast and reliable. On the off chance, you walk in and you feel that you just walked into a reserved part of six tables.. if you decide to remain patient then you’re in for a wonderful treat of a good dinner that will satisfy your tum tums.
Orders came out takeover fast considering they had a huge part of guests where dishes on each table were pleasing and aromatic just tantalizing your own tastebuds.
Price points- reasonable for 4 dishes.
Simply delicious. Be back soon.“

“Went here with my cousin today, the food was absolutely delicious. The portions were very generous! You start with a chicken dish (we got medium spice/size) and it was more than enough for two people to share. The flavor was phenomenal. I particularly liked the onions. After you finish your first dish, they come by and fill your bowl with chicken broth, turning it into a delicious hot pot. All sides you can add on are generous as well. Overall, wonderful experience. We will be coming back for sure!“

“★★★★★ A True Hidden Gem for Cantonese Food!
This Cantonese restaurant might not be well known, but it truly deserves more attention—it’s a hidden gem! The flavors are authentic, the dishes are cooked with care, and every bite feels like something homemade yet restaurant-quality.
* Marinated combination was a perfect start—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully balanced.
* Fried flat noodle with beef was outstanding, with tender slices of beef and noodles perfectly stir-fried with that signature smoky wok aroma.
* Sweet and sour spare ribs were another highlight—crispy, tangy, and just the right touch of sweetness.
* Stir-fried mixed chive flower with dry squid, shrimp, and chicken—so unique, packed with flavor, and everything was cooked just right. It had that amazing balance of textures and freshness you only get at really authentic Cantonese spots.
It’s not a fancy place, but the food here easily beats a lot of the bigger-name restaurants. Definitely one of those spots you’re glad to stumble upon and can’t wait to come back to!“

“First time here and the staff was super sweet and welcoming! Our server gave great recommendations and we loved everything we had! Best salt and pepper wings ever! We loved both the egg drop soup and the wonton soup, and it's a big portion even though we ordered the small size. In general their portions are huge for the price ! We will definitely be returning soon! The spicy beef fried rice isn't actually spicy, so they bring out a chili oil sauce on the side, and the beef and vegetables has a delicious sauce and a good variety of vegetables.“

“First of all, Great service! I found this place via TikTok.
Food was hit or miss depending on what you get. A lot of it was a little too salty though.
We bought beef lo mein (they used spaghetti noodles), sweet and sour fish, pea shoots, green beans, lamb and scallions, fried rice (it had shrimp which we didn’t want to order), pot stickers, egg noodle soup, sweet and sour chicken, and crispy duck.
Out of everything, we enjoyed most the pea shoots, pot stickers, and green beans.
The rest that we ordered wasn’t terrible food but it wasn’t something I would go out of my way to return for.“

“While stopping for gas, I noticed this restaurant and decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. I ordered the orange chicken, and both the flavor and portion size exceeded expectations. Although the dish is traditionally spicy, it seemed to cater to a milder American palate—but a touch of sriracha easily elevated the heat. The meal was delicious, and the lunch pricing was quite reasonable. I will definitely be returning soon.“
