“Let’s be honest. Nobody goes to Raising Cane’s because they’re looking for a balanced meal. You go because you want chicken fingers, Cane’s sauce, and zero regrets… at least until tomorrow.

The chicken is always hot, crispy, and consistent, and they’re open late, which has rescued more than one of my questionable dinner decisions.

One thing I like is how you can sub anything. Don’t want the coleslaw? Swap it for extra fries. Don’t need the Texas toast? Trade it for another side. No weird upcharges or “the computer won’t let me.” They just make it happen.

Healthy? Absolutely not. Delicious? Every single time. 🍗😄“

“I’ve been to Top Notch before, and every time the food is fantastic. The fries are always crispy and delicious, and the shakes are absolutely incredible, easily some of my favorites around.

On my most recent visit, Owen was working the register, and his kindness genuinely made my day. When I went to pay for my drink, he unexpectedly gave it to me on the house. It was such a thoughtful gesture and speaks volumes about the level of customer service he provides.

“I will never go into this Popeye’s location ever again. Disgusting, dirty, horrible service inside. Most of the people in there were either on drugs or insane. Half the sodas were out, no lids. All they care about is the drive-thru, no desire to take care of things in the dining area. I tried to find some water to clean the mess & dried catsup off my table, but there was some homeless guy in the bathroom with his dog (yes, dog in the restaurant). So I tried to get water from the soda fountain, but water wasn’t dispensing. Line of people 10 deep, no one taking orders in front. People were getting rude and irritated. One guy got kinda hostile and mouthy. It took 30mins to get my order...and I had to ask them for it. My mashed potatoes were not warm, but the chicken sandwich was awesome.“

“I don't know why I like Popeyes so much, but I regularly eat 3-5 chicken tenders with Mardis Gras Mustard.
Service is always slow. They do one car at a time in the drive thru and ignore me when I walk inside to the counter. I always order on the app ahead, but plan on waiting 10-15 minutes for someone to hand me the food that was already made.
This isn't exclusive to this location, so I assume it's part of their standard operating procedures to be generally inefficient.
I'm going to continue to eat here regularly, but I know what to expect when it comes to the service.“

“If you're visiting the State Capitol by yourself, or with out-of-town guests, at some point you're going to get hungry. One block away from the Capitol, at 922 Congress Avenue, is the Tastea Deli. It's a small family-owned business led by Grace Yom. My wife and I stopped in for lunch and tried a few of their sandwiches and specialty beverages. The deli may be small, but the tastes are big! All sandwiches are offered in three sizes - 4.5, 7 and 10 inches. We chose The Italian and the Chipotle Ham and Turkey Sandwiches. I tried their Strawberry and Banana Smoothie and my wife had the Kiwi Pomegranate Iced Tea. What I noticed first about both sandwiches, was the extremely fresh bread. The bread held the sauces well and did not break apart. My wife does not eat a lot, and her small sandwich was the perfect size. She gave me a bite and the meats really blended well with the Chipotle dressing and veggies. They did not oversauce it. I loaded up my 10-inch Italian with all the veggies they had except for jalapeños. I went with banana peppers instead. The meats included capicola, pepperoni, salami and ham, as well as provolone cheese. Tasty blend of flavors, sauces perfectly with their house Italian dressing. My smoothie was also really good. They sell a ton of smoothies according to Grace (See picture for other flavors) My wife also loved her tea. They ask you the level of sweetness you want in it, and if you want it with boba. Other items to consider trying are the Chicken Ranch, Roast Beef and the Chicken. Prices range from $6.50 - $11.50. I am trying the Beef Dip on my next visit. From outside, the corner space is pretty unremarkable, just a faded green awning with an old Quizino logo burned into it. A small sign says you've arrived at Tastea Deli. Inside it is sparsely decorated but clean, and the staff is very friendly. Last thought: On a small table in the corner of the restaurant sat a Bible opened to the Gospel of Matthew. I asked Grace about it. She simply said, sometimes people just need some good news. If that's not your thing, ignore it. Grace and her team will make sure you leave with your belly full with good food. And seriously, get a smoothie...soooo good!“

“Quick and easy take out pizza place. Ordering and customizing online is easy. A small pizza is not a personal pizza it's larger and just the right size for 2 meals for a single person (.5 meals for a teen boy 😛). I got two small pizzas so myself, my spouse, and our toddler could try two flavors and it was perfection. The dough taste like fresh baked naan, soft and more than just a surface for the toppings but part of the flavor profile, especially on the butter chicken pizza with the space flavors. Can't wait to go back.“

I can't think of any chain that does a better job of delivering consistently good food in a consistently friendly way. And with their dual drive-thrus, Chick-fil-A really moves things along. “Before I begin, I’m already a huge fan of Cane’s, but this experience furthered my opinion to INSURMOUNTABLE proportions.

A few months ago, a buddy of mine from out of town and I got in the drive-thru of Cane’s and ordered a box combo and 3 finger combo. However, pulling up to the window, the car in front of us left. So we pulled up and the workers asked if we got two caniacs, which we didn’t. I asked if they had extra food from the people in front of us, and requested taking their extra order off of their hands. At the end of the day, we had our orders and drinks, and I had 2 EXTRA Caniac Combos and A Cup of Sauce for NO EXTRA cost. I’m just glad I could be of service to the location by keeping their kitchen running and not letting an order go to waste! 11/5 ⭐“
