“My husband and I recently celebrated our 36th anniversary. We’d celebrated on the weekend but on the actual day, we were headed to the big Barnes and Noble at Southlake and wanted to eat. Both of use hungry for steak we pulled up the restaurants around BN and found Trulucks. We’d never been there before and decided to try it. I’m so glad we did. A truly classy, gorgeous place with great atmosphere. We had a table in the dining room and the one of the best wait help, Germane Cain, the at I believe we’ve ever experienced.
This gentleman was extremely educated in cuisine, and he could share his knowledge without seeming pretentious. In fact, had we met Mr. Cain under other circumstances I think we would have had a great conversation. As it was, he had to take care of his other tables but did so without our ever having to ask for anything. This would be a great place to take family or business people and be sure that you would not be embarrassed.
We had new wines due to the great advice, and new dishes such as broccolini. And at the finish he brought us a big platter with Happy Anniversary written on it in chocolate and a Baked Alaska. I’d seen these on TV but never had one. This absolutely transcended the boundaries of regular or even top-drawer dining, becoming an experience in culinary delight.
The location is fantastic; you can stuff yourself silly and then go walk it off in the bookstore. The food was prepared so well the steaks almost melted in our mouths. The parmesan potatoes were almost as rich as the dessert. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.“

“The food was delicious and served promptly. My fiance had the pork chops and I had the shrimp with citrus beurre blanc. We also had a cocktail, both of which were excellent. I had a French martini and my fiance had an old-fashioned. Alex was our server and stopped by the table multiple times to ensure we didn't need anything. Parking was a little tricky as the street spaces were full and the immediate parking lot behind the restaurant, but there were spots in the parking garage.“

“FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE!!! We came here tonight for my kids birthday party. She's quite shy but we still wanted to have the goofy birthday experience that we had growing up (coming to Joe's Crab shack for birthday celebrations has become a tradition in our family). Well, they sure did it! Our server, Jose, was amazing, friendly, checked on us often, made sure we had what we needed, and answered all our questions with a smile. He made us feel super welcome and well taken care of. I wish we could have tipped him more. Then a whole bunch of crew members came out to do the birthday celebration with our kid, who was thoroughly entertained & embarrassed, as we had wanted, haha. And the food was stellar, which has always been the case in the past when we came here so I expected nothing less. Overall this was a fantastic pending to an important birthday and left our whole family feeling wonderful. 10/10, highly recommend, and thank you so much to Jose and the amazing crew of this Joe's Crab Shack! Sidenote: Every time we go here we always get the Great Balls of Fire, the painted crab dessert and the "Shark Nibble" drink, all of which are 100% worth getting every time. Upon crossing the threshold of this fine establishment, I was greeted not as a mere traveler seeking sustenance, but as honored royalty returning from victorious battle. The hall itself was warm and lively, filled with aromas so magnificent that even the greatest feasts of ancient kings would pale in comparison.

Our most honorable steward for the evening, the noble Sir Cy, conducted himself with grace, wisdom, and hospitality befitting a knight of the highest order. Never once did our goblets run dry, nor were we left waiting in hunger. Sir Cy possessed deep knowledge of the sacred menu scrolls and guided us through the offerings with confidence and courtesy. His demeanor was cheerful, respectful, and steadfast, as though he had sworn an oath before the royal court to ensure all guests departed fully satisfied and in good spirits.

As for the feast itself, I partook in the shrimp tacos, and I say this truthfully before all witnesses: these were not mere tacos, but culinary treasures forged by the hands of master craftsmen. The shrimp were cooked to perfection, seasoned with enchantments unknown to mortal men, bearing flavors so rich and glorious that I nearly rose from my seat to proclaim victory unto the heavens. Each bite delivered balance and harmony worthy of the royal banquet tables of old. The tortillas were soft and fresh as morning bread from the village ovens, while the toppings and sauces complemented the shrimp with precision akin to a blacksmith forging a legendary blade.

Never before have I encountered seafood so fresh and noble in character. One could easily believe the shrimp had been harvested directly from Poseidon’s own waters and delivered by royal carriage straight unto the kitchen. The portions were generous, the presentation magnificent, and the quality remained unwavering throughout the entirety of the feast.

Furthermore, the establishment itself was kept in immaculate order. The tables shone as though polished for a gathering of kings, and the atmosphere carried both comfort and merriment throughout the hall. The staff moved with efficiency and honor, ensuring every patron was treated with dignity and care.

But above all else, it was Sir Cy who elevated this evening from a simple meal unto a legendary tale worthy of song and parchment. His service was swift as a royal messenger, kind as a benevolent ruler, and dependable as the castle walls themselves. “This is my go to place for my Cajun craving fix. The kids have a space outside to play. The staff is always friendly and the food is amazing. Last night was THE BEST experience ever there. We were craving Cajun but it was going to be almost 10:30 when we got there. (They close at 11) So I called ahead to order food so we could sit and eat right away. The manager was so sweet and said, no need to call ahead, just come on in. Insisted! It’s almost end of shift and our server was still smiling and friendly as ever. “I love Thai food! We decided to try this place out and from the decor to the service, it was great! We got their Thai iced tea, which was refreshing. I ordered the Pad Thai which was very flavorful. Unfortunately, the steak arrived quite late, likely due to a communication issue in the kitchen. The rest of the dishes complemented each other well, and we especially loved the bread served for the table.

The service was great, and the manager went above and beyond. He personally sat down with us to discuss what may have gone wrong and checked on us while we waited for the steak. We truly appreciated his professionalism and kindness, as well as his decision to remove the steak from our bill.

“The pasta here is good I'm not an expert on authentic italian, but for me the pizza is great!!! I'm a Dave Portnoy, Sally Slices type of pizza lover! They have that new york style thin crust big slice pizza always served hot and fresh, stuffed pizza thats loaded and one slice is a full meal!!!! Lunch special is cheapest around 2 slices and drink I think for like 10 bucks. Always clean tables, great service, Customer experience is always 5 stars! Pizza is always 5 stars!“

“Another one of my go-to spots for Thai food. I probably eat here a few times a month, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently solid, flavorful, and comforting. My ride-or-die order is the Pad Kee Mow (drunken noodles) with medium spice. I've learned my lesson..."medium" can range from a manageable kick to "why is my face melting?" so I'll never go above that! Still, it's always delicious, and the one time my dish came out closer to "Thai hot," (which is what they call their spiciest), they were super kind and remade it without hesitation. Now, I have to mention, the interior has a bit of an identity crisis. There's a random Christmas wreath that's been hanging up year-round, and a slightly cluttered corner by the bathrooms. It's not exactly Instagram-perfect, but somehow that adds to the charm. The place feels a little worn in, but clean enough that it doesn't deter me (just worth knowing if you're someone who likes everything pristine). Pro tip: avoid the table by the double glass doors. It's basically a climate experiment: blazing hot in the summer and freezing in the winter. Otherwise, they keep the restaurant at a cool, comfortable temp (I love it but you might want to bring a light jacket just in case). Overall, this is one of those reliable, cozy spots that you keep coming back to because the food hits every time and the service is always welcoming.
