“It's surprisingly good. Interior didn't look like a well taken care of a place, but it was clean. Employees were busy, and still, they tried to clean tables as often as they could.

They recommended the burger and the ckn strips, and they were really good. Fries werent great. They were smooshy, high oily flavored, poor seasoned.

I would recommend to present the room better and use stronger aromatics so it doesnt smell like old dinner from the 60's.

The service its good and they are doing great on food. 1st impression is not the food but the actual place. If this is improved, when the food comes in, its a full 5 star experience.“

“Hello, this post has been a long time coming and I can finally give kudos to this lovely dining experience and delicious food! My work team had our year end lunch here for about 17 people including two kiddos and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate even in a mom/pop size restaurant. We felt like one big family hanging out eating some great food (***** stew, oxtail, catfish and bomb sides). You can bring your own drink too (and act appropriately of course?). My company has also catered food with Momma Luvs and the food is just as great as dining in! Please come by and get your plate(s) and I’m sure you’ll be back because my coworkers and I have surely been returning customers!! Big up!“

“Burger and fries weren't seasoned. Food didn't taste good. The onion rings were all soggy and only half were battered everything else fell off, I guess when frying them. I placed an order to go and specifically told the register we wanted the food at the same time. We had to wait another 15 minutes or more for the order to go. Not worth what we paid for.“

“We've been three times now, and the first two times were great. Tonight made us not want to go back for a long while. The women's bathroom was disgusting. We ordered our food and they were out of bread bowls and potatoes. My daughter ordered off the kids menu, and we paid then 10 minutes later an associate came over and said they don't carry what she ordered anymore. So we switched to something else, that cost less, and we had to ask for the refund of the difference later, they didn't offer. We switched to carry out because the AC was broken (not their fault). One of my kids ordered the kid's Mac and cheese and they gave us a tiny side portion as her meal and when I asked the cashier about it she said it was correct. But then I saw a kid with a sandwich and a side of Mac and cheese and his Mac was the same size as her entree portion. I mentioned this and they said oh yah, you're right, and gave us a second one. We left and I realized we didn't get our drinks, we just ordered water so no loss but just irritating. They also didn't give our kids their cookies in this kids meals, which I didn't realize until we got home. My husband broccoli cheese soup was very watery, and my chicken enchilada soup had maybe 2 pieces of nickel size chicken and nothing else but the soup part. Our sandwiches were good and the kids' food was good. The manager was very nice.“

“It was busy because it was Father's Day and there was no Wi-fi in the building or parking lot. I wanted to place a to-go order and it took a tad bit long amd the young lady at the window said when we were ready to let someone know she walked off and we never saw her again. I was ready to leave and not return.So we asked for assistance and Juran S. was right there and took care of our order and took my number down in case we weren't in the building to get the order she would call. She was very nice and attentive I appreciate her for that. It's great workers like her that makes you want to return.“

We'd pick up frozen pulled pork in Tennessee and bring it back to Texas as a treat. Nothing to compare until our first visit to The Purple Pig in June. Meets and exceeds our high standards to perfection. Don't miss this delightful experience. There are many things that makes the pulled pork extraordinary. Quality. Pecan smoked, not common to Texas. As we were looking for reviews at places near our location. We noticed this place along the road and the parking lot was packed. Rule thumb if a place’s parking lot is full, it’s usually very good. And we were right, good homemade food even the coconut cream pie we ended up sharing cause we were so stuffed. I truly tried to stop eating but the food was so good. “Walked in and sat at the bar. Bar tender attended me right away. I decided to try their 14 oz steak with Okra’, sweet potatoes, and bread! Man, that steak came out nice and hot! It tasted just the way I like it! No evidence was left on my plate of its existence! The sides and bread were the right touch to satisfy my evening hungry!

The staff makes the experience a genuine pleasure. The Wait staff is amazing, and we pray Luis never leaves! He is extraordinarily knowledgeable, personable, and attentive. He is my favorite waiter of all time. The Sommelier is an enthusiastic expert in his knowledge and enthusiasm for wine and winemaking. He makes the experience of selecting and enjoying bottles of wine fun (and rewarding!). I have genuine respect and appreciation for these two professionals. “Truly one of the best Charley’s to dine at. My wife and I decided to stop in after shopping and we both left full and happy. I had my usual original cheesesteak and ultimate fries with a lemonade. My wife had the garlic parmesan and lemon pepper wings. My cheesesteak and ultimate fries were simply delicious. So now on to the wings. I would have never thought wings at Charley’s would be some serious contenders. Now I wasn’t a fan of the garlic parm, but only because it’s not my flavor. But the lemon pepper is more to my liking. The wings were not only full of flavor, but very crispy. The garlic parm were also crispy and my wife really enjoyed them. Now with that out of the way. I have to give a huge thank you to Mike for providing great service throughout our time there. Remember my lemonade? Prior to leaving Mike asked if I would like a refill. That kind of gesture you don’t get from anywhere often and that just shows that the customer remains a priority from ordering to walking out the door full and happy. “As a Veteran Hooter Girl from VA and an avid traveler, I have high expectations for the Hooter restaurants we (my husband & kids) visit across the US. Without sounding too cliche’ the Selma, TX Hooters was by far one of THE BEST experiences we have ever had. Shea, was very pleasant, welcoming, and accommodating. Shea also jumped at the opportunity to sing a special “Happy Hooters Birthday” to our son, Preston, turning 9! Our pictures and videos will be treasured! The food was perfectly prepared, timely, and delivered by staff that jumped at the opportunity to help out! The restaurant was very clean and tasteful. If this was a “shoppers critique” this location would pass with very high marks! My only recommendation to management would be to stock the shopping area with some t-shirts from the “Old Guys Rule” themes, they are awesome!! We also need options to collect something small from each specific location like magnets, stickers, or poker chips. We loved you guys and hope to visit when we return to San Antonio! Thank you!“
