“Saw this place walking by while day drinking on SoCo. We spotted the bar and went in. Our bartender Sydney was incredible. She made us very good drinks and was amazing company. “Mum's is up there with my favorite pastrami sandwiches that I have had. This spot isn't Katz Deli, but it'll satisfy your craving for a good sandwich. I actually enjoyed that you take a little trek to get to this spot because the longer drive is worth it. The service here is excellent, and the spot offers that deli-like ambiance. I have a feeling other BBQ items would also be great here, especially given the wonderful smell of meat you get while at the spot. I don't know what it was, but on the day I was there, I saw a lot of people on dates... who knows, maybe it's also a good date spot“

“Do not pass up a visit to this place!! We had the most delicious crepes brunch here. My (gluten free) boyfriend had the gf turkey pesto savory crepe, and I the croque madame crepe and they were both perfection!! Tons of flavor and high quality, fresh ingredients. I also had their delicious peach tea and my boyfriend enjoyed his americano. This is definitely a gem of Austin (the kind chef, original art deco lobby, outdoor seating availability and the fact they also serve cocktails was a bonus!).Dietary restrictions: Gluten free crepe option was five star!!“

“Get the Thai chicken sandwich you won't be disappointed. Go at 11 am to beat the lunchtime rush at 12 pm. Everyone from the state capitol eats there so get there early before the crowd. “We went here for a quick brunch with our large group of twelve people, and they managed to accommodate us promptly despite being very busy on a public holiday morning. Their attitude was excellent, and we felt warmly welcomed.The wait time for our orders was slightly longer than expected, which was understandable given our group size and the restaurant's full capacity.However, the food itself was excellent—well-presented, fresh, expertly prepared, and delicious.The ambiance was upscale, modern, and environmentally conscious.The restrooms were clean, there was ample parking, and they even provided toys for older kids.As for the service, it was outstanding. “Came from the tuna melt but they were out. So I got the Brisket Brioche Banh mi instead, which was good. I gave it 4 stars because while the food and the service was great, there were a lot of flies hovering around our food and we were sitting in doors. If they could find a solution to that, it'll be great. Besides that, I'll be back (to try the tuna melt) and I highly recommend it if you're looking for a great sandwich spot.“

“Okay....so WOW! I was skeptical about this place. Felt that the photos didn't look delicious enough. Oh how wrong I was! So happy we went. It was amazing! 100% kid friendly and the staff had no issues with substitutions or even bat an eye! The place is small and loud so kids don't have to be quiet. I'm surprised they don't have a Costco size restaurant because it would be packed! The food was crazy amazing and so much! My husband and I eat a lot but both of us had tons more f food left on our plate but were so full! I'd come back here hand over hand if I lived in Austin.“

Can’t believe we found this but it was exactly what was needed.The empanadas were possibly the best Colombian empanadas I’ve ever had (including literally in Colombia). I couldn’t believe it. “Hidden gem!I'mma keep it a buck with you. I'm almost scared to post this review because I really don't want any more people coming here. But more than I don't want people coming here. I want this place to stay in business. Fantastic service, quiet space tucked behind the busy road, good coffee, and fair prices. Personally more than anything else the location is great. Not too many people here but just enough to give you social pressure to get stuff done. It's located in some kind of art Haven and I see lots of creatives and creative energy coming from the place. If you go here and you enjoy it, please just tell your close friends. I want to be mine and mine alone. Highly recommend“

“The beer here is great and constantly changing. It’s a brew pub that offers a quality environment to enjoy good brews and food. The food is surprisingly good, they serve paninis and salad. They have NA drinks like coffee as well as thc drinks but I haven’t tried either so I can’t speak on that.I do love the food here though, the food is great, I’ve had 2 or 3 different paninis and have been satisfied every time. The staff is really cool and it’s a good place to go relax, study, or enjoy a brew or 2. They have pretty good WiFi and it’s a pretty good overall spot.If you’re in the neighborhood I’d stop by.“

I ordered the special omelette stuffed with carne guisada and it came topped with queso. The carne guisada tasted more like shredded beef, but it was still very tasty and the breakfast potatoes were very good too. I asked for a side of salsa and that added more flavor on top.I also ordered the banana pecan pancakes, but they weren't moist or fluffy at all. They tasted kind of like boxed pancake mix and they were thin, dry, and a bit overcooked. Definitely not the worst, but I wouldn't order it again.The patio is nice, but sit outside at your own risk lol. There's a few bird thieves that will snatch the eggs and potatoes right off your plate while you're eating.I enjoyed it overall and will go back again in the future.“

“I love this place! It's a gem tucked away from downtown and never misses. I come here often with my boyfriend and our two dogs. The outside seating area is lovely and their french pastries are some of the best in Austin! We always order the kouign-amann and the quiche if they have it. The quiche changes daily but is always fluffy and has a more custard-y consistency than others. It works beautifully. We've also had the beef tartare (delicious but small), caesar (love the cured egg yolk), breakfast sandwich (yes, do it!), pastrami sandwich (generous and hits the spot), and the gnochetti (good but not one of our favorites). I want to mention the service as well! I would be careful about coming here at certain times if I was in a rush but I love the staff! I am always happy to see Brenda or Kyle! Kyle is awesome and on top of it. Brenda always comes to say hi to the dogs. I definitely recommend this place and am slowly becoming a regular.“

“The place looks very clean with a plain and simple decor. It got busy after I arrived in the later morning; the staff was friendly and they handled the customer volume very well. The restroom was out of order, so when I needed it, I was S.O.L. (pun intended). I came only for a donut; I bought one and a coffee. The donut was fair, but nothing to write home about. The coffee was not good. They have a few standard bench tables where you can sit down to eat. They also sell some hot foods like kolaches. There are also two large drink coolers with a fairly large selection of beverages, including milk.“

(Sandwich descriptions can be found in my pics of the menu) Calabrian Chicken: This was so good and I would definitely get it again. Really great flavors. Chicken Bacon Ranch: Just ok compared to the Calabrian. Menu says it usually comes on a hoagie bun which would've made it better. Still decent on the panini bread but not dying to reorder this. Looking forward to trying more of their menu. :)“

We ordered hakka noodle dosa (with no onions and no garlic), samsoa and Madurai Malai Dosa and all three items were very authentic tasting and delicious. I typically don't like dosas, but I sincerely enjoyed these. The owners and the team were very nice and willing to work with our restrictions even though they were very busy. Additionally, they are able to make most things vegan and/or Jain which is a blessing for us. Definitely a top restaurant on our list to go to and take family and friends now. “Great customer service. I was sitting inside having a great bagel and coffee while waiting for daughter to get out of her doctor's appointment. One of the worker's noticed my car had been rear ended in the parking lot and called it to my attention. We got the driver's attention and made him stop. No damage to my car but yes to the offender's car. His excuse was that he got hit last time and no one stopped. Thank you Mary's cafe for looking out for your customers.“

“i got an iced vanilla latte with oatmilk, yes i am basic and yes it was delicious. the employees were friendly and i got my food pretty quickly even though it was busy. i love the seats next to the big window and it felt peaceful even with so many folks coming in and out. the green eggs and ham is interesting, i liked the prosciutto and soft boiled egg. overall a great experience i liked it here a lot.“

“They don't monkey around here. The coffee is excellent. There are stuffed monkeys everywhere and lots of monkey puns on the coffee menu. I don't normally rave about something as ordinary as granola but I loved the textures of theirs -- the combination of seeds and nuts gave everything a delightful crunch in each bite. We also got pancakes, which were good, but my favorite remains the granola bowl! Warning: outside seating is plentiful and it's nice to dine al fresco but we were attacked by very aggressive bees attracted to the honey from our granola bowls, so sit outside at your own risk!
