“I love this place! The food is incredible and the staff is so attentive and friendly. I always get the fajita combo with chicken and beef. Their salsa + meat are honestly phenomenal. I love that they added the new sautéed spinach as a side- super delish. Matt, the GM, is so kind, attentive, and just has the best customer service! The staff looks like they’re having a great time, which makes the environment a lot more inviting. Definitely recommend!“

“Tio Trompo is a true taqueria with authentic Mexican food! Ricardo (owner) and his staff, Miguel (a real vaquero), and Juana serve the best tacos I've ever had. What's crazy is there are a dozen Mexican Restaurants within a 1-mile radius but not one of them is as good as Tio Trompo. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“Si tienes nostalgia por México o simplemente tienes la curiosidad de probar la mejor comida del mundo que, para mí, en mi experiencia lo es la Comida Mexicana, esto por los sabores tan exquisitos que probé en este Restaurante y las especias que los chefs mexicanos de la Fonda Santa Rosa emplean de manera artesanal en la elaboración de los alimentos, te recomiendo de forma sincera y ampliamente la Fonda Santa Rosa. “Came as a family of 4 for my son’s birthday weekend. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was beautiful. Our waiter was Dae, he was AMAZING, he tended to our every need and just above and beyond. Robert was the manager and he was well tending to us. It was a Saturday night so of course it was about to reach capacity HOWEVER there was never a boring/waiting moment we felt. Robert said sorry for the wait and offered us dessert. They also sang happy birthday to my son, he had his own dessert plate too! The fajitas, perfectly cooked, my husband tried the tamales and OMG different but delicious! Everything that we ordered was just wonderful. Even the water!! lol little papasitos deserves an award for amazing customer service. We will definitely be back!!“

“This is real deal authentic Mexican breakfast food. Great environment, good service, but even if that wasn’t the case, I’d STILL come back for another plate of their Birria Chilaquiles . Each bite took me home to grandma’s breakfast table as a kid. Fully recommended and no doubt a place that will be in my top 5 as of today. Enjoy!“
“I was so amazed! I stopped by this building to just look, I was greeted by a beautiful young lady, IMANI, that was courteous,professional & gracious. After her presentation, I was convinced that this was my new future home. This has been one of the best decisions I have made, moving into Aris at Market Square. A very clean & secure building. Imani continues to provide great customer service as I always have a few questions and/or needs. What better place to live but in downtown Houston.“

“Made a stop in for lunch one Sunday afternoon at the beginning of May. It was a bright, sunny day and people were enjoying the nearby green space. “Great family owned Mexican diner. Don’t come here if you want to post pictures of your meal on social media. But if you want tasty real food, served on cafeteria plates, good coffee, a traditional bakery, and eat next to a convenience store and laundromat (like many great places in Houston) then come. You’ll be treated like family.“

“The food and taste was impeccable. Texture was light and finished clean on every dish. The waiter and the manager was also very friendly and pleasant to be around. We were a bit underdressed for the occasion, but they made us feel really comfortable and at home. The waiter was very extensive and knowledgeable of the menu, he made sure ask what our likes and dislikes, allergies, etc. and this were and genuinely made our experience. I would recommend dining here on the occasional splurge.“
