“Update from prior review.... The atmosphere and service continues to be amazing! Shelby is a kind and happy bartender that makes one heck of an old fashioned! Darian the other bartender made my first one and it was a 10! Both of them are wonderful! Bobby the service staff manager is funny and makes you feel like an old friend. Tell him star wars is better than star trek and you might have a debate on your hands! I had the 30oz porkchop and its no joke! The team in the kitchen have some sort of magic! I took the bones home because the public is not ready to see me chew away all the tender goodness from them. And the glaze is to die for! Michelle is a fun and well dressed character. “We went for the first time last night on a whim and had one of the best dinners and service ever. We had reservations at 6:15, and arrived an hour earlier than planned. The hosts adjusted on the fly and sat us immediately (it was pre dinner rush and there were tables available). Our server Taylor was personable, knowledgeable (knew the menu front to back, including items that weren’t on the menu), and attentive. We started with a couple of their signature cocktails and the meatball appetizer, followed by the surf and turf and veal chops, and ended with the cheesecake and the peanut butter cup martini. Everything, let me repeat EVERYTHING, was amazing. Not once did we feel like we were being rushed by the staff to finish, empty plates and glasses were picked up promptly and discreetly by the busser. “We visited Verf's on 9/19/25 and Jose F was our waiter. The food was wonderful, and our waiter Jose did an excellent job checking on us but not becoming annoying by constantly asking if we needed anything. We sat near the bar which was a tad noisy, but the booth we were seated in was uncomfortable and better suited for larger people b/c the table is too far away from the seats. And our table had an uneven wood surface as we cut into our food. Lastly, the $2.50 discount for Police/Fire/Vets should be a little more ... say 15%. Otherwise, it was an outstanding dining experience.“

“You don’t “visit” Doug’s Dive you accidentally end up there and somehow have the best night of your life. It’s the kind of place where time stops, logic disappears, and by closing time you’re best friends with a guy who swears he invented Wi-Fi.

The vibe? Pure, glorious chaos. The lights are dim enough to make everyone look hotter, the music hasn’t been updated since cassette tapes were a thing, and the crowd acts like they’ve known you since middle school whether you want them to or not.

“This has become my family's go to relax and have a chill time place in the area. The drinks are great if you love frozen margaritas that taste good (and you get a lot of it lol). I have never been there when their wasn't a food truck of some sort out front. Since it is a different truck each time, I cannot say how good that part of the experience will be for you. They have cheap snacks to keep kids happy (hot dogs, frozen ice cream cones, etc, think ballpark type food).
Mom, Dad. The best thing about this place is the indoor playground for kids. We come in, order our drinks and sit down (or play way too much cornhole) and our kids are off playing and out of our hair. NO ONE COMPLAINS ABOUT BEING BORED. The adults get to talk and enjoy themselves and so do the kids. Win/win all around!“

“The best Indian in north Fort Worth with a touch of love. I already loved the food but I’ve been sick and lost my voice. I placed an order and got a call a few minutes later. I apparently chose the wrong tikka masala which is why they called. I apologized because of my voice but we sorted it out. The lovely lady made me a special drink for my throat that I had and was wonderful. Apparently it was a drink her grandmother made when sick. My heart is full and this place is very special. It was already my favorite Indian in the area but this gesture warmed my heart. Thank you to this restaurant and lovely lady ❤️“
