“We went for the first time last night on a whim and had one of the best dinners and service ever. We had reservations at 6:15, and arrived an hour earlier than planned. The hosts adjusted on the fly and sat us immediately (it was pre dinner rush and there were tables available). Our server Taylor was personable, knowledgeable (knew the menu front to back, including items that weren’t on the menu), and attentive. We started with a couple of their signature cocktails and the meatball appetizer, followed by the surf and turf and veal chops, and ended with the cheesecake and the peanut butter cup martini. Everything, let me repeat EVERYTHING, was amazing. Not once did we feel like we were being rushed by the staff to finish, empty plates and glasses were picked up promptly and discreetly by the busser. Even though it was our first time there, Taylor instantly made us feel like we were long time regulars and friends. The entire experience was top notch. The manager was so sweet and said, no need to call ahead, just come on in. Insisted! It’s almost end of shift and our server was still smiling and friendly as ever. They have an extensive menu with all of the better known Thai favorites and some interesting (and tasty) variations. The Pot Stickers are great. So is the Tom Yum Thailicious - their spin on classic Tom Yum. The Pineapple Fried Rice is addictive. Highly recommend the Pad Thai. The Hostess was as friendly and engaged as she could be, but on the visit before last our waiter spent most of his time sitting at a table looking at his phone, and when he occasionally thought to actually check on us he was surly to the point of being almost non-conversational (rude?). On our last visit it was the same story. We actually asked the hostess if she could please seat us in a section of the restaurant that we thought was not his. She gladly obliged, but it turned out that we miscalculated and wound up with him as our waiter again. This time he spent less time checking his phone, but his attitude and level of engagement was no better. We love their food, so maybe we order food for pick up in the future. We saw a steady steam of customers picking up orders, so maybe that's the way to go. That way we're not expected to tip a rude and inattentive waiter.“

I’ll be honest, I didn’t leave a huge tip, mostly because it feels like so many places these days expect a tip even for takeout, and I’m always much happier tipping when the little details and service are there too.
