This was my third visit to Black Rock Coffee. Overall, the coffee is great—comparable in quality to Starbucks—but the prices are also similar, if not a bit high. I ordered two large drinks and one Lil Rockers, and the total came out to over $20.

The barista who took my order at the drive-thru was friendly and pleasant, which I appreciated. However, the barista who handled the payment and handed me the drinks was noticeably unfriendly. She didn’t ask if I wanted to use my rewards points, didn’t offer a straw, and after handing me the drinks, she immediately shut the window and walked away without a word.

I didn’t leave a tip because I felt the drinks were already overpriced, and I got the sense that my lack of tipping may have influenced her attitude—which is disappointing, especially since she wasn’t the one who made the drinks.

That said, my first two experiences at this location were great, so I’m hoping this was just a one-off. I’d love to see more consistency in customer service.“

I love to buy several half gallon type sizes of different flavors so that we can mix up our evenings and enjoy different flavors together.
