“My gf and I were looking for a new Chinese restaurant last night and were fortunate to find this place. Our meal was amazing- she got the Pon Pon Chicken dinner and I had the Mongolian beef. It was hot , fresh and way above our expectations. The cream cheese wontons were fantastic- definitely not the frozen ones we’ve had elsewhere. We both highly recommend Mountain City!!“

“Love this place! I travel a lot and had to move away, but I always take my family back here every time I'm in town. Food is delicious, my husband loves it and my kids overeat. Our favorite savory dishes are Sesame Chicken, General Tso's Chicken, Spicy Pepper Beef. Side dishes such as vegetable fried rice, egg drop soup, hot and sour soup, and cream cheese wontons are very basic but they are made well. I really took it for granted when I was living there. Now the next best place is in New York.“

“The food was very good, we got sweet and sour chicken combo, crispy beef combo, cheese wonton, pork fried rice and pot stickers. The best items we got were for sure the crispy beef and wonton. Their rice was also unique with lots of good flavor and I would recommend it! My only issues was the sweet and sour. While it was good, it felt older a little. We also got the combination plates for the beef and chicken and we did get the fried rice with it but we did not get the spring roll or the shrimp that should have came with it unfortunately but definitely would try it again.“

“Mr’s D’s has the freshest veggies and the best broth out of all the personal hot pot restaurants in the city.

I was blown away by how delicious and refreshing the soup base is, they're light, not heavy or oily, and is made in-house. The veggies and meats are fresh and taste amazing. My sausages were cut into shapes of tiny octopus which was adorable. The sauce station, snacks, and the free rice are an added bonus as well.

I've stopped by once every other week, even when as the weather gets warmer. This is such a great spot and a hidden gem!“

“I come here very often, and I honestly think it’s much better than Paik’s Noodle in Korea. Everything on the menu is delicious, including the jjajangmyeon, jjamppong, sweet and sour pork, and stir-fried jjajangmyeon. My friend recommended this place to me and it didn’t disappoint. Not only were they able to accommodate me right before their closing time, the owner was super friendly and nice to give me extra water for free. They even carefully wrap the food since I was in a rush to go, The food is delicious and warm after 20 mins drive.

“The food was quite good -- very fresh and made to order rather than vats of premade stuff. However, the delivery of orders was a bit chaotic with several plates coming to us that we didn't order while our orders were AWOL. We had a group of seven, with the last dish coming out when those getting their food first were almost done.“

“The food is great at Janbo but I’d really like to talk about the SERVICE! I came in with my family a few nights ago. We were a large party and had 2 kids under 2 with us. They were SO ACCOMIDATING! The restaurant was very clean, which was great for our little explorers. Our server brought us suckers and yogurt for the kids, and was so patient and understanding of our chaos. We WILL be back!!“

They said it was the best beef broccoli they'd ever had- I can't get over how tender yet crisp the veggies were! Great portions too! The noodles had a perfect chew to them (dunno how else to explain that), the soup dumplings were so full of flavor, along with the wontons. Service was great- we went on a Saturday during dinner rush and were seated immediately, no wait. Our server was kind attentive and friendly. Very accommodating and helpful with recommendations too! “I ate here recently and got the golden chicken soup. It was good chicken soup and also A LOT of it..I couldn't finish all of it. There was hardly anyone there so it was quiet, but the food came quickly to my group. Everyone enjoyed what they had. This place also has very traditional Chinese food, so if you are looking for something like sweet and sour chicken it won't be your place. Overall I'd eat here again.“

“I love their authentic Vietnamese food. Each dish is huge and tastes wonderful. You can easily split one entree between two people. The atmosphere is a little dated and I'm not sure why they still have a Christmas tree up which is okay but not my style 😄“

“This place is so so so under rated! It's a hidden gem for delicious Chinese food. The lemon chicken is delicious, so is the sesame chicken. The sesame chicken is done different than anywhere else I've ever seen, but it is so good! It's not just dumped in a fryer and smothered in sauce.
I wish more people would give them a try because I worry I have found my new favorite place and they won't be around to love.“

I ordered the fried rice and added the roast pork and it was incredible! The pork was top quality and was delightfully crispy on top! Best fried rice I’ve had in Utah! My husband ordered the basic fried noodle and it was like boring hot pasta salad (spaghetti noodles) and didn’t taste fried. I would pass on that dish, but the fried rice was great!“

Like they always say; an Asian restaurant that looks a little run-down on the outside is usually run by authentic owners who specialize in their own home-style dishes.
The customer service while I waited for my over-the-phone order was phenomenal. The nice lady chatted with me while I waited, and there was only one other person inside before me.
Inside, it looks like your typical Asian fast takeout spot. But once you smell and taste the food, prepare to be blown away.

Overall, this place is now our number one spot for Asian takeout in the West Valley/Taylorsville area. If you’re on the fence about where to eat, go here—you’ll feel like a regular even on your first visit.

“This place is for sushi because the Chinese food disappointed. We tried a couple of rolls that were delicious and this is the only reason why they got 4 stars. The shrimp dish seemed like a mix of bad seasoned shrimp with unsalted egg drop soup. The Kung pan was weird with unexpected veggies and little flavor. The tiny spicy chicken had way too much coloring and little flavor. They packed everything into one bag and things were smashed. A second bag would have been better.“
