“My wife is a foodie and wanted to show me this place. Upon entering I had my hesitations… but after trying the Curry Ramen I knew that I had just found my new favorite ramen place. I recommend this place to anyone who has a love for ramen! My son's also loved the pictures on the wall and especially the katana that was displayed on the Front counter!“

“This is by far my favorite ramen place in Utah. I’ve been so many times and realized I’ve never written a review. As someone who has spent a considerable amount of time in Japan their Tsukemen is the closest thing I’ve found to Japan. I get it every time and it’s 100% my comfort meal. “my family and I really enjoy Mr. Shabu. We have mainly been for the sushi, and have really liked it. The Playboy Roll, which is sort of my go to roll, I'm torn if they are number 1 or 2 when it comes to the place I like it the most. but we have enjoyed many other rolls their. but we also appreciate their wall of ramen which is great for my daughter who is trying to like more sushi, but isn't all the way there yet. it make it easy for her to still get a full dinner, but also try some sushi as well. Any ways, if your looking for some good sushi, give Mr. Shabu a try.“

“This quickly became one of our top 5 favorite restaurants in SLC last night and mainly because there aren’t many restaurants of this caliber in the area. The presentation and more importantly flavors of the food matched what you would expect to get at a restaurant in nyc. For the two of us, we ordered: 2 antipasti, 1 primi and 1 segundi and it was the perfect amount of food. Bread with some amazing butters and arugula pesto dipping oil are also brought out. The aurora crudo, tartare di manzo, tagliolino al mentaiko and tagliata di bosco were all delicious. I would absolutely order them again and recommend. The tartare, served on a foundation of thinly sliced and stacked potatoes, and the mentaiko, such a unique pasta flavor, were probably my favorite standout dishes of the night.

You definitely need a reservation if you’re coming on the weekend. It would be cool if you could reserve the type of table or at least the “chefs” counter vs a booth. The ambiance and vibe wasn’t as intimate or unique (we were seated in a booth) as I was hoping but it wasn’t an issue.

“So glad we found this place!! The food was great quality and good portions.

My friend is gluten free and they can pretty much make anything for him that's not tempura because, get this, they use REAL CRAB!! Not the imitation crab like many other places that contains gluten fillers to make up the texture. (delicious, but a bummer for glutards that can't eat it)

Service was fast and we walked away feeling very satisfied with what we ordered. 10/10, and we will definitely be returning again!

“Sakura is awesome.
First the Food. Everything is freshly made, hot, and very good. I've had the chicken, steak, and salmon teriyaki, all of which are fantastic. The plates are massive, and I often have lots of leftovers. The smaller bowls are also a full meal, and often what I order. The drinks are made fresh as well, and I am fond of the Thai Tea and Sakura Coffee. The Boba is fresh made and hot, which makes for a really fun and unique experience, with the ice cold beverage and warm Boba. Its a treat!
Their sushi is also fairly good.

The staff is great. The owners are extremely nice, and very helpful.

The restaurant is small, but well taken care of. Its clean, bright, and not too loud.

“Fun family experience and yummy food. The chef was very talented, lots of the normal hibachi experience: throwing eggs, fire, throwing shrimp in each persons mouth, etc. the food was delicious and each thing was the perfect temperature. They give everyone 2 sauces plus soy sauce on the table so you can season more as needed. We brought up an allergy to peas and she assured us they didn’t use it in the fried rice.“

“Food at this location has been great every time I go here. I gave 4 stars on service because the cashier didn't give me my receipt and stared at me and my baby as soon as I walked in the building. “I had never been to ramen legend before and it didn’t disappoint. My cousin got a spicy curry ramen. I usually get a pork broth ramen but decided to try something new. I got a chicken broth ramen and it had fried chicken in it. The fried chicken was great and crispy. My 1 year old daughter also loved it! I would definitely order it again!“

“As always it's fantastic! Server Maximus was very knowledgeable about the menu and found us a new favorite sushi roll even though we've been going to Tsunami a few times a year for YEARS!! We had our drinks, miso soup, and cucumber salads within 5 minutes of arriving. Then we had our delicious sushi within 15 minutes of arriving!! We didn't feel rushed but were completely done with our meal within 30 minutes! This is my absolutely favorite place to eat out! The food NEVER misses and servers are always so friendly and knowledgeable! Will never get enough of coming here!!“
