“Excellent food. Excellent service. But the music...ugh! They were playing disco and 80's pop music kinda loudly. But, just as we were leaving they had some really cool Buena Vista Social Club come on. Would definitely be 5 stars had the music been Spanish while we were there.“
“We were so excited right try this restaurant! It came highly recommended by my son’s boxing team. Right when you walk in, the aesthetics are so nice! As someone who loves tagging and artwork, I was impressed. Their modern design blending in Latinx different aspects of culture was appreciated. The food options are wonderful. There are a lot of choices for tacos in different categories. I chose three tacos from three different categories - the OG asada, kompas king, and mahi-mahi. I also tried theirs chips and guacamole, the esquites, and the pina kolada. Everything was delicious and I can’t wait to come back.If you love quesadillas, ask for Sebastian’s favorite!Staff gave the best recommendations and were so kind! Check this place out soon!“
“Hands down best tacos we've had since moving from California. My whole family agrees as do all of my coworkers. And the owner is the nicest sweetest person you'll ever meet. Very grateful for her and her amazing food! Love the toppings bar too! Such a a great “
“As a devout lover of Mexican Food, Tacos El Pariente holds a special place in my heart (and stomach!). Every visit feels like a culinary adventure, with each taco delivering a burst of authentic flavor that never fails to impress. From the moment I approach the stand, the tantalizing aroma of grilled meats and spices beckons me closer, setting the stage for a feast fit for a king. The menu offers a diverse selection of fillings, from classic carne asada to adventurous options like cabeza and chorizo. No matter what I choose, I’m always met with a symphony of tastes that transport me straight to the streets of Mexico.“
“There’s a reason there are more than 30 5 star reviews. These are the best tacos in Salt Lake. The best tacos in Utah. I know that’s saying much but I’m Mexican and these are great. Also it’s locally owned and operated by an Utah family that loves their craft. What more could you possibly ask out of an Utah street taco?“
“The Birria tacos are authentic and amazing. I prefer the soft shell, but both are good. The taste is outstanding. I love that they use this Birria beef and just stick with it and nothing else. I will be going back here for Carnitas and Al Pastor. If you do not like any spice at all, this place is not for you. If you like some spice to quite a bit of spice, you will LOVE it!. The kitchen was incredibly clean, the employee was wonderful, kind, helpful and the eating area was spotless. This is a must!Parking: It is in a very small strip all next to a cycle and has plenty of parking.“
“Everything and everyone was awesome! The staff were all friendly and polite. Silver gave excellent advice on food choices (carne asada tacos, enchiladas, guac with basaltic was divine!) Silver was an awesome server, and so kind! The food was delicious! We’ll definitely come back again!“
“Simply phenomenal vegan burrito. We ordered the veggie burrito, no cheese, add guac and add rice. It's massive, it's delicious. Potato, peppers, mushrooms, beans and a whole lot of tasty! Massive burrito! We split it. The red salsa is mild with bomb flavor.“
“Got the birria tacos on recommendation from a friendThey provided red onions and cilantro to top them with. There was a red and green salsa to add to them as well. Add a roasted jalapeno and some white onions on the side and i gotta say it was a great plate of food. Good value as well for the price. I will definitely be back!“
“I am salivating thinking about the asada tacos I had yesterday and have told everyone I have run into since!! We will absolutely be back!! I was sad as I was trying to check in on Facebook and there wasn't an option for it and had to create the check in because people really need to know about this place!!!“
“There’s some haters in this world. But I guess that means this restaurant is doing somethibg right. No one is happy anymore and everyone is a food critic. With that being said, I haven’t ever been disappointed coming here. I go once or twice a week and the food has always been consistent and the staff has always been helpful. I like the welcoming feeling the restaurant provides. Keep doing what you’re doing.“
“Delicious chicken tacos! My husband goes out of his way to grab food here, so I had to come and try it for myself. Great service and located next to Maverik where you can grab a soda at a reasonable price, or you can grab a real bottled soda from them directly. Highly recommend this truck!“
“The best thing here are the tostitos. They are SO GOOD.We ordered some Asada Tostitos, some Campechano Tostitos, and some Campechano Tacos. The Tostitos (both kinds) were amazing. I had never had something like that before. Probably because they are more regional, so you only really see them in northern Mexico. So glad I got to try them at this stand though. Unreal. The tacos were good. It’s hard to ruin a street taco. These were solid. Nothing that made me lose my mind. Just solid, good tacos. Also, they guy running the stand was super friendly and easy to talk to. Made me want to return, not just for the good food, but also because he made me feel important.Highly recommend this place.Parking: Old parking lot with plenty of space.Wheelchair accessibility: In a parking lot, so it’s easy to access.“
“I really liked my side salad, ribs and cornbread. My husband also liked the ribs and cornbread but didn't like the baked beans at all. He said they tasted like vinegar. I would have tried the green beans but they were out. The mixed greens salad was really good. I liked the Luke's BBQ sauce.“
“Whenever I travel I search for tacos. I was in SLC for a conference a few weeks back and when I saw a taco cart nearby I knew I had to try it. Well my search was over. I ate there all three days I was in town. Silvia and Maria Estela are amazing, lovely people, who cook everything fresh every day with love. I had carne, pastor, and lengua tacos, all phenomenal. I also had carne burrito and it's a perfect burrito, proper proportions and all the goodies spread evenly...and fried cheese! Also, highly recommend their fresh homemade salsas - esp the habanero! Such a great dining experience, I will 100% visit if I'm ever in SLC again, and I still dream of the burrito! Pa lo q saben!Vegetarian options: Fresh cooked veggies!“
“Great food, experience, customer service, and atmosphere. The staff is kind and the prices are good. I highly recommend this taco truck. One of my favorites around townVegetarian options: You need to ask, they are really good at vegetarian food.Parking: 9 parkingsKid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“The food was so good! I haven't had a traditional Navajo taco in years. It was worth every penny. My grandma loved it so much she said next time I'm in SLC she wants me to pick one up and bring back to her.Parking: There is limited parking behind the building.“
“One of Utah’s hidden gems! Our server was incredibly kind, and our food came out very quickly. The Vegetarian dishes were some of the best in the state, and my boyfriend says the non-vegetarian food was even better. This is a must-visit restaurant for quality, cost-effective, Mexican food.Vegetarian options: Delicious vegetarian options. Clearly thought-out, and NOT just a regular entree with the meat removed.“
“Tasty tacos...tons of meat options but my favorite is the tripas ?❤️??Parking: In the Smith's parking lot...Kid-friendliness: Plenty of kid food options...Wheelchair accessibility: It's a flat parking lot very little thru traffic...“
“Taquiza Santana, has serviced our business on 3 separate occasions now. We have a monthly meeting where the business fits the bill for lunch for all employees and this taco truck is one that all my employees specifically request come back. Eddie who is the owner is awesome to deal with, shows up on time, food is absolutely killer delicious and reasonably priced and he pulls up right out back to our bay door and cooks right from there. Nice work per the norm Eddie !!!!! Thank you“
“They have the best tacos in the state! Yes, you read that right. The quality of the ingredients and salsas are top-notch! The music playing while enjoying your heaven sent tacos is also great! My dog also got nice delicious beef treat by one of the employees/managers. Attention to detail and great vibes all around! Will come here weekly since the prices are extremely reasonable. If you come here, try their tortilla chips.“
“I love going here to get tacos. They have fresh and tasteful food. Great selection of sauces etc..The customer service depends on what location you go to and who is cooking. I have been to almost all of them and 2 times I have felt very uncomfortable with a lady who I belive is from Venezuela. She seems to dislike working there, is not nice to people who don't speak Spanish and she won't nor will she make an effort to try an comunicate to customers who don't speak Spanish. The worse is that she ask other customers to translate for her with an attitude. I hope the owners look into that.“
“As someone who has traveled all over the US, this is a top tier truck. The food is authentic, delicious and very reasonably priced! If you choose to get a burrito anywhere else you are a fool... Seriously, try them out! Will get lunch here every single day I am in town.“
“Amazing street tacos at a reasonable price. Definitely in my top two taco restaurants. Excellent al pastor and cabeza. They also had a nice little salsa bar with 4-5 different salsas, onions, cilantro, and a few pickled vegetables. Very quick too. If you get a burrito they'll give you a tortilla with your meat, then let you add your toppings, then they roll it up for you. This place is definitely a must-stop if you're on a mission to find the best tacos in SLC (like I am).“
“First time at this location, very disappointed to say I am very disappointed. We used to always go to the other location in st George and we loved it so much, we are very sad it is shut down because ot was way better, much higher quality food, and home made tortillas, however tonight I ordered the Jimmy churri as a burrito and it looks good when I came. But on the first bite I bit a peice of rock hard meat, the rest was 90% plain rice. And there was a spicy sorta cheese ketchup sauce, not even close to the old Jimmy churri, we unfortunately will not be back.“
“Just moved here a couple weeks ago, and it's already my favorite spot. It's so good I'm looking for a place nearby so I can eat here often. I'm weak on my Spanish, but eating here is making me practice on it alot. The staff is super friendly and accommodating as well. Amazing restaurant and amazing food by amazing people!“
“The food is pretty great for a restaurant when you order your food at a counter. Food came quickly and was delicious. I recommend the beer batter fish taco and the carnitas taco. The chips and salsa were also great. I also got an horchata and it was lovely, but way too overpriced.“
