I love Cafe Rio. The level of consistency across locations can always be counted on.
Not tasty and they gave such small portions for a steak bowl, even with an added fee for steak.
The Cafe Rio experience has really declined over the years. I was a staunch loyalist, but repeated mistakes on orders and an overall decline in food quality has turned me off. If you need to grab something and the other places are busy, this one is fine.

Many sides options are available, and the food comes out toasted with melted cheese. Vegetarian options like salads are also offered. Located in the City Creek Shopping Center, Cafe Rio provides a warm experience with friendly staff. While some customers noted that the salsa fresca could be improved and that the portions of chicken may vary, the overall experience remains positive. Despite busy parking, the quality of food and service makes the visit worthwhile. A return trip in 2026 for the grand opening is already on the agenda.
