“They are in the parking lot just west of Maverick, in the Pick n' Pull lot. One thing different about this spot is they have campechana and chorizo which I don't always see at taco trucks. But like most other taco trucks, they were some of the tastiest and cheapest tacos I've had. Never buying tacos from a place without wheels again.“

“Our dinner at the 9th and 9th Tsunami Restaurant was a wonderful experience. We go there on special occasions and have been going for many years. I had the combination shrimp and salmon and my husband had the chicken and salmon. It was cooked to perfection, light and crispy with delicious sauce with rice and fried vegetables. We had the fresh green salad as well. Our waitress was helpful and cheerful. Thanks to the chef and kitchen staff for a wonderful meal. My husband had never seen the whale sculpture up the street so that was amusing for him as well.“

“I’m a little late to posting this review, but I had sit down to think about all the wonderful things I have to say about the Umani team. Let me start off by saying we are from out of state, and chose to have our wedding on the Bonneville Salt Flats this past September. We investigated some catering options, and found that Umani Wood Fired Pizza was going to be the perfect option for our evening on the flats. One call was all it took for us to be sold, we talked to Eddee and he was extremely helpful, honest, and kind. We then got in touch with Elle to discuss more of our vision, and the rest is history!! She gave us recommendations on florals, a bakery for our cake, and was so so SO generous!!!! Coming from out of state on a budget, she was a life saver. She helped create a one of a kind wedding. They helped with tables, chairs, decor. They even drove out to the salt flats ahead of time to scope out the best areas for the wedding set up!! Not to mention, they had plans A, B, and C set in stone to make sure our day was perfect. And thank goodness we had them because we needed that!! Elle and the whole team went above and beyond for us and our family. The time and dedication they put towards our wedding does not go unnoticed or unappreciated. The pizza, I should also add, was spectacular!! If you’re looking for exquisite food, beautiful atmosphere, a team that cares about you and your event, and a wonderful family owned business, look no further. “Been wanting to try this place for a while, and it was absolutely delicious. Everything was seriously SO tasty - chai, snapper, chicken, greens, plantains, even down to the rice and beans - the flavors were incredible. Every bite we took we said "wow, THAT is good." It's truly a fusion restaurant, and they did it perfectly. We knew this place had great reviews, and if I could give 10/5 stars, I would. Would have really loved to try dessert, but we'll save that for next time because we will definitely be back.“

“We went here because of the great reviews but had a little different experience. The four of us ordered cannelloni, Tuscan chicken pasta, a mushroom pizza, and chicken mushroom ravioli with pesto sauce. Everything was served at the same time, and it was all hot except the ravioli, which was barely warm. The cannelloni (two on the plate) were not pasta in any traditional sense, more like a crepe wrapped around the filling. The food was pretty good, not great, and overpriced in our opinions for the size of the portions, which were adequate but not generous, except for the pizza. It was of a good size. We asked for water and received Costco bottled water at $1.75 each. Our server did as well as she could, but she was the only person running the restaurant, including cooking. We left a decent tip because she earned it, but we will not go back.Edited after reading the owner's two responses (the first, apparently written in haste and anger, was appropriately deleted, but I have a screenshot) --In hindsight I raised the food and general ratings to four stars. As you can see in my review, most of my issues were not with food quality.In my many experiences with Italian restaurants through the years, I have never seen cannelloni served in crepes.Local restaurants generally offer the option of free tap water in glasses. “It’s genuine and very good tasting. The ingredients are fresh and the pizza comes out hot. My only gripe is the portion. It tasted so good. I would literally have to buy like 2 1/2 pizzas to get full. That would cost me like $30 to get full. The pizzas are all personal size. I wish I could just pay like $13-$16 for a larger pizza that would fully satisfy my stomach. Atmosphere and service were good, not amazing but good.This is just a personal opinion but I think it would be awesome to offer some oil and vinegar for the crust to dip.I don’t want to sound too negative. “Whenever I travel I search for tacos. I was in SLC for a conference a few weeks back and when I saw a taco cart nearby I knew I had to try it. Well my search was over. I ate there all three days I was in town. Silvia and Maria Estela are amazing, lovely people, who cook everything fresh every day with love. I had carne, pastor, and lengua tacos, all phenomenal. I also had carne burrito and it's a perfect burrito, proper proportions and all the goodies spread evenly...and fried cheese! Also, highly recommend their fresh homemade salsas - esp the habanero! We have a monthly meeting where the business fits the bill for lunch for all employees and this taco truck is one that all my employees specifically request come back. The owner was super friendly, and they serve different flavored juices/water every day (we got the strawberry). The 3 cheese roll was my favorite, but the other rolls were up there. Great for large groups with 6-12 roll platters, and the price is fair for the portions ($50 for 3-4 servings).
