38 Best Ice Cream Shops near Syracuse

“We loved Pier Ice. There were so many flavors to choose from and the add ins like sweetened condensed milk, cream, or ice cream put it over the top. The ice is smooth and the ice cream was thick. It was the perfect treat. We loved that there was a table and chairs and even space on the grass to take our time and enjoy. We will be going back many times this summer!“

“Such yummy gelato that was amazing“

“The ice cream is fantastic. It’s a childhood favorite of my husband’s and his family. Every time we cross the country, we pack our freezer in our jeep to save for later and to take back to family members on the coasts. It has always worked out great, however the last time we were there in early October, we ended up with the 2 quarts of the pistachio almond fudge that we got only having a pint worth of ice cream in them. Super disappointing as that one is my absolute favorite and it’s not like we can just go get more on a whim. I know it’s a huge PITA having to pack 12 quarts of ice cream by hand so we make sure to tip very well to make it worth their time and effort but now I fear next time we stop we will have to keep a super close eye on whoever is packing them to make sure we don’t get shorted again. I hate being that person“

“The ice cream is SO good! We will definitely stop by again“

“Love this place! Super excited for the new location!! Excellent flavors and friendly staff! Would recommend“

“Best sweet treat to get in the hot summer! Friendly workers, clean environment and fun atmosphere to visit. The Banana Split was amazing and huge, definitely a date night treat to share. Also the dipped cones are my favorite❤️“

“It's the best live-music venue in the whole town; family-friendly, very unique. We love the people who frequent this magical place; love the food, love the ice cream. It's absolutely our favorite place to play. Thanks Boni & Glen“

“Large open lobby and great spacious sitting area! We have been here both for a fun date with the kids or as a couple. Such fun menu options, everyone left happy!“

“This is our family's go to treat place after special events or whenever a craving hits! I highly recommend the salted caramel shake it up with a splash of banana!“

“Good frozen yogurt and a great value!

They do self serve ice cream paid by the weight of your final creation.

A decent range of flavor choices (about 10) with the ability to sample and a wide range of toppings (about 40+) but probably not with the ability to sample (I didn't ask).

Our bowls together came out to less than $10, a great deal for ice cream / frozen yogurt at this time in the economy.“

“Okay but seriously… The Sweet Spot lives up to its name. Everything is SO good, and it’s one of those places you walk into and instantly feel happy. The staff is always friendly, and you can tell they care about their customers. 10/10, already planning my next visit!“

“Their tiny donuts were SO fresh! I had a few different flavors and they were all so good!“

“Julie the owner goes above and beyond. This morning I went for the first time to crumbl (Minecraft cookies) my daughter being obsessed with Minecraft I went to get some and I’ve never tried Dubai strawberries I ordered the girls there then told me they were all out of strawberries totally understandable I’m sure they’re delicious! She refunds me then I get told the owner will hand deliver them to me the lovely girl in front I wish I got her name ! She refunded me for the strawberries THEY STILL BROUGHT ME THE DUBAI STRAWBERRIES TO WORK ! Mind you guys this is In riverdale I work in Layton SERIOUSLY THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE. She did not have to do that but she insisted! Thank you Julie they tasted AMAZING ! Seriously 10/10 experience!! Thank you guys seriously !“

“We stopped in today on a very snowy day, craving a sweet treat, and this place did not disappoint! The owner was super helpful and made an excellent recommendation. We tried the Wendoneada, and the perfect balance of sweet and tangy was exactly what we were looking for! I highly recommend this spot, and we’re definitely coming back to try the other flavor options. 😁“

“great stop on our adventure date night. thanks for being open and for making such beautiful stuff!“

“CRAZY ice cream! So many fun flavors and the portions are insane. If only my stomach could fit ALL OF THEM“

“We have enjoyed this for many years and look forward to them at the farmers market“

“I got a custom cake made at this Layton location and the girl we went through was very cooperative and let us order what we wanted. She helped us decide on flavors and everything! We ordered it Wednesday night and she had it done on Thursday, we didn't even need till Saturday! Talk about speedy customer service! I just wanted to say thank you to her because I didn't get her name! The cake was perfect! :)“

“This store is such a great upgrade! We both got banana royales, which comes with (2) 2.5 oz scoops, a topping and sliced bananas-the perfect amount! Loved the pistachio chocolate bar flavor!! The employee working was really great and super friendly! Will def come back!!“

“This Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is located alongside Cold Stone Creamery. On one side of the cash register is Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and the other side is Cold Stone Creamery. Even though it's two businesses in one location, it is a very small store with maybe four small tables. They have most of the basic candies and candy/caramel apples, but they don't have everything that you can find in other places. They don't open until 4pm on Sunday. Good thing I checked online before going over there.“

“Placed this order 5 hours in advance. Paid full price, didn't get the Enderman I ordered. Bummy. Kind of expected this though, given Krispy Kreme's struggles with these Collabs. Welcome to the struggle Crumbl. You owe me a Enderman though. Otherwise, an okay experience. The poor workers deserve better, somehow these companies need to figure out how to deal with demand. These places get overwhelmed in a hurry.“

“the place is amazing the products are phenomenal they have fairly decent prices and the best part is fantastic customer service I'd recommend them to anyone“

“Service and atmosphere:
Super friendly and always really clean. Not much to say here.

Food and quality:
Not much to say they are kings at this! I will say pick up orders are 80% true to order. I have had a decent ammount of missing topping on pick up orders. But in person its spot on. Good quality ingredients

The scores:
Service and atmosphere: 9/10
Food and quality: 8/10
Flavor: 10/10 (so many options)

Overall: 9/10“

“We love this place! I take the grandkids & my kids here for a little treat. Strawberry daiquiri, Blue Raspberry, Bahama and Strawberry Cheesecake. Are some great flavors. Go get your Hawaiian ice on a nice hot day, it sure cools you off.“

“I was genuinely blown away by this place! It was my first time coming in (Monday night around 6), and the employee made the entire experience unforgettable. She was incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable—she really took the time to listen to what I like and gave me the BEST drink recommendations. Everything she suggested was spot on!

What impressed me the most was how she convinced me to try a Cheez-It avocado drink… something I never would have even considered since I’ve always disliked avocado. But somehow, she made it sound so good that I gave it a chance—and I’m honestly shocked to say it’s now a new favorite of mine!!

Her energy, friendliness, and ability to connect with customers made such a difference. You can tell she truly cares about making sure people have a great experience. The shop itself was great, but she is 100% the reason I’ll be coming back. Absolutely amazing service!“

“In the words of Jules Winnfield- That is a tasty burger. Had a double bacon cheeseburger fries and a shake and it was perfect. Served hot and quick. Despite being busy nothing was compromised and for my first time eating here I was impressed. I’ll be back!!!“

“It’s our favorite ice cream shop with so many flavors and toppings! Everyone can find something they want :)“

“I like to come here it’s close to my home and my fav ice cream 👍😍 how ever they need more stuff one person working.? Especially at night just for safety precaution thanks Baskin Robins.“

“GREAT service. Absolutely delicious custard! Bar none the BEST! Their sandwiches and burgers are delectable and taste like nothing you can get anywhere else! Reminds me of the food made at small local diners of days gone by! Highly recommend!!!“

“We used Zeppes to cater over 400 people at our wedding. It was the BEST experience ever. We got so many compliments on how tasty it was and how good the service was! They made the scheduling process SO easy and SO helpful. The price was also extremely fair. I would 100% recommend for catering. We were so impressed!“

“Wow, I'll definitely be back! The gal at the counter was sweet and very helpful. And the chocolate was DELICIOUS. I got a sugar free box on sale after Valentine's, and very much enjoyed almost all of them (with the exceptions of flavors I just don't enjoy together). I never would have guessed they were sugar free, and there were tons of sugar free options both at the counter and in the box. I was super impressed.“

“The crew at big scoops handled our group like pros! Nothing but smiling kids, incredible service, and an experience we all walked away from happy! Personally, I think the ice cream with some of the best I’ve ever had, coffee, white chocolate, and Heath bits mixed in, Yum! Thanks, Big Scoops!“

“I came in today to get a shake and noticed that there were quite a few people waiting in line when I got there, and yet there was only one person helping customers and getting stuff done. She had such an amazing attitude and was super efficient when helping me and others. I want to give a huge thanks to Evanjalean for making my shake and other ice cream with such efficiency and enthusiasm“

“Issac is a total boss!! Was having a pretty shitty day and wanted some ice cream to feel a little happier. This nice guy made some jokes mixed in my toppings then.....THREW THE ICE CREAM IN THE AIR AND CAUGHT IT IN THE CUP!!! Coolest thing ive ever seen an employee do in the area!!im now having a much better day thanks to him. Definitely going here again just for how awesome he was!!“

“Great food at a great price! They even stayed open late for us so we could finish our food.“
