The Johnnycake skillet was amazing and very filling. Their drinks are delicious and super cute. It's small so hot aren't talking over a million people which is nice. “Found this little gem from a simple Google search and I’m already addicted! My friend and I enjoyed breakfast there and we’re already planning a return trip. Who cares that it’s an hour away from home, it’s worth the drive! I had the granola pancake (🤤) and my friend had the strawberry french toast special (equally delicious). We also took home cinnamon and raspberry rolls (to die for). Give this place a try, you’ll be glad you did!“

“A favorite of mine since I lived in the avenues 15 years ago, this coffeeshop has the best community feeling, the most lively energy, and most laidback vibe. Lots of seating for a small space, and more comfortable than most. I love to write here, and this is one of those places where I mysteriously do my best work. Even though it's not quiet, the ambient noise is perfect.

My favorite drink is dairy-free dirty chai Cubano-style. The flavors of chai, espresso, brown sugar, and cinnamon are like angels serenading my taste buds. I love the artwork, and how the community board is right up front.

The only negative is that it's kind of impersonal to order on a tablet. I don't mind, since ordering food or drink gives me low-grade social anxiety, but I know customers who feel a lack of connection. The ordering system has the potential to cause confusion, like when I bring a personal cup, they don't use it. That is my one critique.“

It was 1.5 miles from the Koa where I was staying and I wasn’t sure if it was worth the walk, it’s got a great little coffee shop/ cafe, the food and drinks are nice, Edgar the barista is sooooo sweet and accommodating and the owners are really great. They have good speed internet to get some work done and even a play area for kids. The owners were so kind and welcoming! It was the best part of my visit to Salt Lake!“

“Time of day can be very important when you make your reservation. Restaurant opens at 9, so if you're able to get that reserved then you'll get your pick of any table (chef's kiss). The food and drinks were both top tier. I was here for a breakfast date and she ordered the chef's benedict. Too often the egg yolk isn't poached properly and it gets overcooked. “I live in Colorado and never heard of Alpha Coffee. I visited Salt Lake City, and friend recommended we meet at the downtown location. I ordered an "Aztec" and it was great. Something different, new and tasty for me. I liked the drink, the vibe and the servers ... the whole experience was great! I look forward to my next visit to SLC. I'll stop at Alpha again - to try the Poly! :)“

“my daughter was not able to eat anything for 2 days due to going through chemo she said this truck smelled amazing and so I bought the award winning ribs she was able to eat all of it it didn't hurt her stomach great source of protein very kind staff very fast. this is now our go to food so she can finish fighting cancer!“

I couldn't believe I found a new brand with that flavor. It is everything I want in an ice cream. Now to have self control and not gain weight by eating a whole container......... Love it! “Dropped in here just before closing. Staff (assuming it was the owner) was very friendly and helpful. I asked for a recommendation as I wanted to try something different. He was spot on with the Lavender latte which was very delicious. He even gave my son a popsicle while we waited. The place has a variety of drinks no matter what your looking for. If your in the area I highly recommend stopping and picking up a drink or tasty treat.“

“OMG FABULOUS!!!! Had split pea, garlic sprinkled rolls and have a quart of clam chowder for tonight! The split pea was so filling, and AMAZING smokey flavor! Not too salty it was practically perfect! But the service was what will keep me coming back for more! The sweet woman at the counter greeted me the second I entered the door. “Spoke with Carson He was soo professional and kind and really has a Great Airport morning personality. He gave me some suggestions I chose the mac n cheese. Never tried it we will see! He was very quick and accommodating. We need workers like him in the airport! I travel almost every other day for work! Can he come to Dallas and show them how to smile and welcome people into the mornings? lol People like Carson have no idea the tones and kindness he uses really makes someone morning so smooth. “I absolutely love Cafe Shambala and highly recommend stopping by! Every time we host family or guests visiting, we bring them to eat here. Both the lunch buffet and the dinner menu are delicious. Our favorites are the spiced potatoes, the marinated chicken, the momos, and the traditional rice pudding dessert. My husband and I have never had less than a 5-star experience, especially with the excellent service. My only suggestion for improvement would be to more clearly post a drink menu during lunch, specifically for the refreshing mango lassi and other tasty drinks available. Last time I was there, the only posting of this information was a faded printer paper taped on the outside windows.“
