“Came here family of 3 for breakfast. We all had bacon, eggs,hash browns, and toast. We shared some French toast. The service is amazing and the small town diner atmosphere exactly what you would expect. All 3 of us thought the hashbrowns were undercooked and bacon could have been crisper for our taste. Lots of parking and owners are super cool and friendly. Got the Spicy Dynamo turkey to go, surprised me with a hefty sandwich portion with chips to add. Will definitely consider this place when meeting friends in the avenues.

“I come here at least once a month for a tea party! I love bringing friends here to enjoy a 3 course tea. I bring a variety of friends with different food restrictions, such as gluten free, dairy free, and vegan. They’re more than happy to accommodate each time! I’ve hosted several birthday parties here. They’re able to accommodate large groups.

Their tea selection is amazing! I especially love the mulled spiced cider.

Another major selling point is the price! Grand America and taste 118 charge over $50 for similar experiences. I pay about $20 a person for a 3 (maybe 4 if I want soup) course meal.

It was 1.5 miles from the Koa where I was staying and I wasn’t sure if it was worth the walk, it’s got a great little coffee shop/ cafe, the food and drinks are nice, Edgar the barista is sooooo sweet and accommodating and the owners are really great. They have good speed internet to get some work done and even a play area for kids. The owners were so kind and welcoming! It was the best part of my visit to Salt Lake!“

Moving here frrom a town in IL just north of Chicago, I never expected to find quality kielbasa in UT... but low and behold, Rise By Good Day has saved my polish cravings and kept my stomach happy. You have to get the Weselna Kielbasa. It is my absolute favorite. You also cannot go wrong with pierogies either. Or the poppy seed bread. Or the polish apple pie. I also love trying all the other polish foods and snacks. The ketchup is my new go to. Don't get me started on the Paczki. That's a delicacy of its own. Stop in, you wont be disappointed. The service is amazing. The owner is so friendly, as are her staff. I cannot recommend this place enough. I am looking forward to them opening the new location in West Jordan and trying their pierogi pizza and kielbasa pizza. Mmm!!“

“Such a great dessert place. It’s hard to find at night as it’s not well lit on the side of the street and there’s no major lit sign. The inside is old, but I think that gives it its charm and sets it apart. The service was kinda meh, the guy at the front didn’t seem to know what I was asking for (wanted ice cream on the side) and they brought me ice cream on the cookie as well as another scoop in the freezer. Which I understand my ask was way weird so understandable. Everything tastes so good.“

“This is my third day in SLC and not coincidentally my third time at Alpha Coffee. The owner and team here are incredible are customizing the drink to your needs. When I shared my dietary restrictions, they readily partnered with me to create a drink that is simply delicious but truly went above and beyond by offering to craft my coffee in a fresh pot. I’ve had the spicy pumpkin latte, a latte with oatmilk and dash of cinnamon and then the Highlander with oatmilk. 10/10 recommend!“

“Dropped in here just before closing. Staff (assuming it was the owner) was very friendly and helpful. I asked for a recommendation as I wanted to try something different. He was spot on with the Lavender latte which was very delicious. He even gave my son a popsicle while we waited. The place has a variety of drinks no matter what your looking for. If your in the area I highly recommend stopping and picking up a drink or tasty treat.“

Aside from the cat decorations in the cafe area you’d never guess they have animals in the building from the smell or the hair level. Lightning fast service and very yummy consumables if you’re just there for a drink and a snack. The staff I met were very patient and helpful. The cats are very well cared for and it shows in their friendliness and grooming. I adopted a Maine Coon with my husband this weekend and not only was the process smooth, but the cat himself was very healthy and had a well maintained coat(for the uninitiated Maine Coons are very susceptible to matting of the fur around their butt and tummy). Overall incredible experience and so so well run especially for a small business. I will be stopping by to pet the cats and get a latte every time i’m in Salt Lake. -Joel :]“
