“Glad that we made a reservation as the restaurant was totally full when we arrived at 1pm on a Saturday. The service was great and very attentive, even though they were busy. They have an easy checkout process that allowed us to manage it at the table and split the tab across multiple guests very easily. The food menu was great and our table enjoyed a couple of their specialty cocktails and wines by the glass - lots of great options across the food and beverages to choose from. Looking forward to visiting them again in the near future.“

“Five stars for what they do alone...proceeds from Stray Cat Cafe and Lost Dog Sandwiches and Pizza next door donated to animal rescue. The menu at Stray Cat is a bit more sophisticated than the sandwiches and pizza next door - reliable comfort food. Pictures of cats adorn the walls. What's not to love here? Good craft beer list too, just like next door.“

“Any place where I don't have to directly interact with someone to order my food is fantastic! I was able to come in, seat myself, go through the menu on my own, and even grab my own water. But other than that I was able to sit down and enjoy my dinner in peace. Also their cocktails are phenomenal!“

I wish I knew how to contact HQ bc others need to learn from her. Watching her with other tables confirmed that she is just stand out with all her customers. “A bit of a mixed bag. The chips and salsa have always been good here. My son’s carne asada tacos and my wife’s veggie fajitas were good. My chicken enchiladas left a lot to be desired. They were dry with not much sauce. Given the prices you would think they could fly to New Mexico and learn how to make an enchilada. My daughter’s nachos were pretty good. All for $85(tip included).“

“Outstanding bar. Great rotating drafts, stools that you can sit on, and the ambiance of a grocery store surrounding you. If you choose to shop, it is highly recommended that you spend 3-4 hours at this bar first so that you can ignore all of the paleo/gluten free/crossfit vibes that resonate. Fairly magical when paired with the top notch buffet adjacent to the bar. Anyone interested in grocery shopping loosely should investigate the possibilities of this bar. I may be wrong, but it is possible to order drinks and imbibe while you shop. Beware: you can’t leave the bar without passing the mochi case.“

“Service is amazing the waiter and manager were amazing. My friends and I arrived after making reservations for high tea @ 9:30am. When we arrived turned out they didn’t have high tea until 11:00 so the manager let us know we were too early. We said no worries we will order breakfast and then have the high tea when it’s ready. Keep in mind the normal high tea is like $35 dollars. Manager came back and said they don’t have high tea during the week only on weekends. We were bummed since our friend was visiting, manager came back and asked how many high teas we wanted we said only one now since we are lobster eggs Benedict. They said okay we can see what the chef can prepare. Waiter comes out with three high teas later. Truly amazing but we only wanted one.

The only bad thing is Bill comes and we are charged $86 dollars for the high tea when they didn’t tell us there was a price difference. I do feel like the manager or at least the waiter should have told us that the high teas were going to be $86 dollars. Our lunch per person was $199.00 this could the most expensive lunch I’ve had. Make sure you ask questions. Please servers and managers explain that there is a price difference.“

“Had a great evening catching up at this amazing Italian spot. Reservations are recommended, but we sat at the bar and had a fantastic time. Will definitely be back to try more of the delicious food. Amazing staff, always smiles, never made us feel rushed and gave us lots of laughs.“

“Wow, I'm SO excited to have a great sandwich shop in Ballston!!!! The sandwiches are so freaking good, and I'm usually not big on fries or home-made chips, but I finished it all, they're both so delicious. The bread is so good too, and everything is reasonably priced. This is going to be my go-to sandwich place in the area. I can't wait to try their cocktails next!“

“I have never had a bad experience at Colada Shop! I’ve also been to their locations in Crystal City and Mosaic, service and food have been impeccable at all three. The servers have all been kind and take your order with a smile. I LOVE the goat cheese croquetta salad- to die for - and my boyfriend always gets a cuban which is always great too! Their coffee is great and strong, which I like! I hate when a latte is essentially so diluted with milk you can barely taste the coffee, which has never been my experience at Colada Shop. Would eat the salad every day if I could, can’t recommend enough!“

“Lucky Bun truly deserves every bit of praise today. I stopped by this morning and took a seat at the bar. It was busy, that perfect midmorning brunch rush when the place hums with life. I ordered the garden omelet and a Bloody Mary. Both were outstanding, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.

The young lady behind the bar, Carmi, once again proved what genuine service looks like. She was handling multiple orders, mixing drinks, taking care of guests, and still managed to make everyone feel seen and appreciated. Her composure, warmth, and professionalism turned what could have been a hectic atmosphere into a relaxed and enjoyable brunch.

It’s not often you see someone balance grace and speed like that. She’s the heartbeat of the bar. Big thumbs up to Lucky Bun and to Carmi for keeping the energy high and the service flawless. I’ll be back soon, this place keeps raising the bar.“
