“Clean, bright, and good vibes all around. A great spot to chill and enjoy some spicy food. Laid-back atmosphere with good music and a welcoming feel. The chicken was perfectly crispy and juicy—easily some of the best Nashville-style hot chicken I’ve had!“

“Very convenient and tasty, owners are very nice and willing to customize sauces, spiciness etc. I got the combo on rice and they basically gave me 2 meals worth in a nice microwaveable container. Cart is open till pretty late and located right outside the metro.“

“Always delicious traditional Egyptian fare. My Egyptian husband makes me drive two hours just to eat here. Although the food is delicious and healthy, my fav thing is the mint lemonade which they make by hand.“

“I can’t say enough good things about this place! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcome — the staff greeted me with a smile and were attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere is cozy yet lively, perfect for both a casual lunch or a nice dinner out.

The food was amazing — every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. My meal came out hot and perfectly cooked, and the portions were generous without feeling over the top. I especially recommend trying their signature dish — it’s worth the trip alone!

Service was quick, drinks stayed full, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality you get. You can tell the team here really cares about making every guest feel taken care of.

“I came to Arlington for a business trip from Atlanta. I've been to the Ballston Food Court several times since I visit frequently. First time at Hal & Als and I ordered the brisket sandwich. the cashier who I assume is the owner was telling me about who he learned to make ribs from down in Atlanta. he was so hospitable too. he asked me to let him know what I thought. I completely forgot. everything was great. halal BBQ is a little different but it blew me away. I'll def revisit when I'm in Arlington again.“

“Messy as anything but truly delicious burger. Wasn't impressed looking at it, but that all changed after the first bite. Please dont judge by the picture because it really was fantastic! Good fries too.
Higley reccomend this place, but probably hit takeout because it's just a simple eat & go type interior.“

Qabeli palaw (which is also the national dish of Afghanistan) is one of my favorite foods. Savory and tender lamb, fragrant rice, sweet carrots and raisins, punchy crisp onions… it all comes together just right.“

“Having lived a long time in Jordan and traveled a lot around the Midde East for 40 years, we are always trying to find " the right taste" of beloved dishes from those days. Some restaurants do lovely mezze but the main dishes are not so good.Others get the grills or stews right but take shortcuts on their mezze. Or the food is good overall but not a nice,calm atmosphere. We finally agreed that Mejana is where we can feel happy with the whole dining experience. Nice ambiance and service. A very fresh, lemony tabbouleh. Chicken shwerma sliders in mini pita. Some fun ways of serving kabobs over mini charcoal and kibbeh naya on a chilled marble pedestal! Would be nice if the kitchen stayed open a bit after 9:30 pm. We invite family and friends with confidence. Thank you.“

“Large portions, got chicken kabob and beef kubideh. The kubideh was one of the best I've ever had, but the chicken a bit overcooked. Bread fresh and hot. Veggies crisp, onions sweet red, lettuce in salad fresh and good quality/cut (if somewhat uninspired). Yogurt dip and hot mint very well balanced. The 5 star rating is really overall for the great value, generous hours, and great service of the family. This is a good choice for a casual meal day or night.“

“Highly recommend Bostan Uyghur! We started out by ordering the Eggplant Salad as an appetizer. It came out nice and warm fresh from the stove! With its spices and garlicky flavor, it really hit the mark! We then placed orders for the Chicken Kabab and the Dry Fried Soman noodles with beef. Both were spicely complex and absolutely delicious! Have to make another visit soon!“

“Central & southern Asian food makes me happy. This is some of the best in Virginia. You must come to the buffet to try a few things, and come back with a date for supper. I typically enjoy lamb karahi but also many of the vegetarian options. The owners are very nice.“

“This restaurant is worth a visit! I tried the Yalla Lamb bowl and was impressed with the quality of ingredients. The bowl was really filling with delicious flavors. Their fresh juices were also great tasting.

I can’t wait to come back and try their different bowls.“

“Best bang for your buck health food in Ballston. More customizable options and toppings than sweet green or chopped. A small bowl is enough food for lunch, large bowl can be split in two if you have a regular appetite.

The staff and management are also friendly and efficient, great place overall“

“Mezeh was great! They have a few vegan dishes on their menu or you can create your own bowl or salad. I ordered the Open Sesame Salad Bowl. It was fantastic! Go here for a good healthy option in the airport. Ask for extra hummus and tahini!“

“The staff is very friendly and helpful. We had a decent sized group and ordered 3 kabob dishes and 3 kabob sandwiches. The portions are good and the food was great. Despite the seating area being under construction, the atmosphere was still clean and nice. The service was great!“

“For the past 25 years I've been coming to this place their food has not changed one bit. The success is behind the fact they never sold the restaurant to anyone else. Their food is incredible! Not your average food this food is worth for Kings. Quality taste and ingredients they use real chicken breasts when they make their dishes. High quality food I've experienced so many Indian, Pakistani, afgani, Arab, and desi restaurants and they all suck.“
