“Eclectic mixture of offerings.Ukrainian borscht is true to what I remember from childhood. Halibut with coconut sauce is brilliant. Steak medallions complement a very Ukranian potato and are of highest quality. The owner, Olena is amazing and sweet.“
“Jinya was my older sisters favorite restaurant. 13 friends and I gathered together in honor of her at the mosaic location . Our server was Michael. He was exceptional, really attentive and super sweet! Two of our friends had mistakenly gone to the Reston location so when I ordered their food it was cold, Michael told them he would check if they could bring out two new/hot bowls of ramen. That was so sweet of him!Definitely will be coming back here throughout the year with the group. Really exceptional service they have here.“
“I'd come back for a slice. Located inside the Western Market on/near GW University. A little hard to find, yelp map doesn't match actual location (used google maps instead). Ordered a half margarita half pepperoni pie. Was hungry so ordered a slice of margarita pizza while we waited. The slice was awesome!!! The crust was crispy airy and delicious. Disappointed a little with the crust on the whole pie... it wasn't crispy at all... a little chewy. Tasted like two completely different pizza spots. Service was friendly. There was room for small or medium sized groups with seating in the back or out in the market place walk way. They had a large selection of drinks including beer/wine/etc.“
“Favorite restaurant in the dmv! Service is always top of the line as well as the food. The kids menu is awesome too!! You can find the most delicious flourless waffle here for dessert.Kid-friendliness: Great kids menu with multiple options instead of only a burger or chicken nuggets.“
“Ambar's newest location does not disappoint. If you know Ambar, it goes without saying the food is amazing. new offerings on the menu gave me some new favorites to add to my already long list. New cocktails for a new address, yes and thank you! The design esthetic is light and refreshing...And the 2nd floor ceiling is an instagram dream. Easily 5 stars.“
“I lost my wallet across the street and someone dropped my insurance card in front of Shahs. They called my company and they called me. I went to get my card and decided to order the chicken platter. So glad I did! I’ve been eating here at least twice a week now! Food is fantastic and fresh. The people who work there are really friendly. Totally recommend Shah’s.“
“I’m somewhat of a regular at this Jinya due to the close proximity to the ice rink. Great spot for happy hour specials if you’re only looking for a beer and a snack. If you’re looking for something more substantial, the gyoza and shrimp apps, and the Tonkotsu Spicy (hot!) have never let us down! Gerson, behind the bar does an awesome job looking after us every time we’re in.“
“Been wanting to get in to Ruta and finally made it this week. Absolutely a fantastic experience. If you are unfamiliar with Ukrainian food, don’t be afraid to let your server guide you. They will steer you right. If you do know Ukrainian food, you will feel right at home. Delicious food in a fun space—and don’t sleep on the cocktails.“
“I traveled to DC for a week of work and stumbled into this AMAZING restaurant. Salad Works has fresh products and you are able to build your salad with every conceivable topping you could imagine. The customer service was outstanding and I had dinner there three different nights.I WISH this place was in EVERY CITY!!!BTW- the owner is awesome!!!Vegetarian options: N/A“
“Christina is the Best! She so pleasant and nice. She could run the entire Resturant. She’s always smiling. Knows everyone by name. Knows most regulars drinks and just super pleasant! Always great to see her and drink my morning caffeine drink.“
“Senait was an absolute gem of a waiter at Hometown Girl! From her welcoming smile to her attentive service, she made our dining experience delightful. Her knowledge of the menu and genuine care for our satisfaction were evident throughout the evening. Senait's exceptional service truly elevated our dining experience. Highly recommended!“
“Wonderful evening with family to enjoy simple and delicious meal. Best Meatball appetizer with just the right Marinara sauce and bread (EVOO and balsámico). Al dente pasta with bolognese ragú with side Caesar salad; others had Lasagna bolognese. Cannolis for dessert with expresso. This is the real deal - when I saw the special order Neopolitan oven I knew we were in the right place - the pizza looked amazing with the thin double zero flour crust and some charred edges and simple marinara and buffalo mozzarella and fresh basil leaves. Nice selection of wines and Peroni beer. Wish I lived here because it would be my go to Italian restaurant.“
“Our server was so pleasant and attentive. For our appetizer we got the calamari and it was some of the best I've ever had. Entrees were a bit hit or miss. The ribeye we ordered wasn't seasoned well, but the crabcake we got was the best I've ever had. Overall a great experience, though fairly pricey.“
“As someone with dairy and egg allergies, I was extremely grateful for the many vegan options on the menu. We came our first night in DC and had the delicious vegan nachos and vegan BBQ “chicken” bites and I was beyond impressed. We had such a great experience that we came back again…. And again while we were in DC. Everyone in my family (vegan and not) raved about their food and our service was phenomenal. Add in the great bookstore attached that the kids and us enjoyed while waiting for food and this place is a must go. If you’re a beer lover, try the Busboys Haze and you won’t be disappointed.“
“This hidden gem offers a delightful fusion of flavors that's as vibrant and colorful as a Mexican mural. This family-owned operation not only wins your heart with its super friendly staff but also caters to a symphony of dietary preferences, making it a haven for vegetarians, vegans, and those seeking halal options. The casual atmosphere, a playful blend of Mexican zest and Greek finesse, sets the stage for a dining experience that's both laid-back and lip-smackingly good.Diving into the menu is like embarking on a culinary world tour, starting in Mexico with the Vegan taco, a masterclass in flavor that proves you don't need meat to create a masterpiece. It's a plant-based delight that showcases the kitchen's knack for transforming simple ingredients into something extraordinary. The Mexican Pizza, a Wild Tacoz signature, is a flavor bomb. Imagine a 12" pizza that shuns the traditional crust for a double cheese-filled tortilla, creating a base that's as innovative as it is delicious. Topped with a protein of your choice and adorned with a medley of toppings including mild or spicy salsa, a three-cheese mix, tomatoes, onions, black beans, romaine, cilantro, and corn crumbs, it's a dish that dances on the line between genius and madness, landing squarely on the side of genius. Then, we set sail for Greece with the Gyro Burrito, a culinary hybrid that's as bold as it is delicious. Packed with rice, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, feta, and tzatziki, it's a wrap that wraps you in warmth and comfort, proving that when Mexico meets Greece, the result is nothing short of spectacular.Wild Tacoz is not just a restaurant; it's a testament to the power of family, fusion, and the universal language of delicious food. With every dish made to order, freshness is the name of the game, ensuring that each visit is as delightful as the last. In a world where fusion can sometimes mean confusion, Wild Tacoz stands out as a beacon of culinary creativity, blending Mexican flair and Greek elegance into a dining experience that's sure to leave you wild with joy.“
“Stumbled upon this Gem on a cranky and bored night! I happen to have rolled into a rock a concert! I was with my girl and we just needed a spot to chill and hold a vibe. The concert was great!! The energy that circled the air was amplified and transcending! I downed 2 beer and out of no where a guy offer to get us some shots! We returned the favor. It turned out to be an epic night of music and great bar service along with some good craft beers. I'm dying to return so I can get a bite to eat since I've heard good things about their menu. Also wouldn't mind another rock concert to attend in the future..“
“Very accommodating for my allergy - I came in today with a large party and a restrictive dietary request. I'm currently breastfeeding an infant that has a milk protein allergy, so I cannot consume any type of dairy including butter. The manager ended up coming to our table and talking me through a number of modifications that I could do to accommodate the allergy. I really appreciated him taking the time as I was being a bit picky in my choice. Ended up with a great meal. Thanks againDietary restrictions: Dairy allergy - I would say a majority of the items contain some sort of dairy, but the manager was patient in talking me through the modifications possible. Ended up with the chicken sandwich with gluten free bun and no cheese. He also mentioned they would cook it separately“
“Wow what a beautiful and cozy bar. The staff were nice and friendly. The drinks were great, especially the paper plane. And the burger and chips were tasty! I hear the cheese and charcuterie boards are really good so I’ll go back for that next time. Highly recommend.“
“The food tasted great, was made with whole, quality ingredients, and was priced reasonably enough for what you get.I ordered a box of tater tots and an “everyday I’m Brusselin,’” which is one of their healthier options, containing quinoa, brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes, arugula, and an egg topped with sunflower seeds, all for around $17.The staff were also helpful and friendly, the restaurant was clean and had a fun, chic interior, and the food was ready in a few minutes, despite there being 3-4 guests before meIf you’re in the area and want some quick, tasty food that won’t break the bank, this is a great option.“
“For $30 with tip we got a delicious mushroom sandwich and the short rib sandwich with a side of chips. It was toasted perfectly, solid amount on each sandwich, and great selection of chips. Would definitely recommend others to go.Vegetarian options: Had a portobello mushroom sandwich with the hot peppers. Perfect amount of spice. They also had an eggplant sandwich which looked good“
“The chicken Khao Soi was delicious and easily the star of their menu. Staff were super understanding of my family being in a rush and made sure to get us everything we needed in a very timely manner. The restaurant itself is cute and a very cozy spot for lunch in dupont.“
“My wife and I were stuck in Washington, DC because of a weather related airplane cancellation. Since it was Christmas Day, our options for dinner were limited. We were very pleased to have chosen the Ottoman taverna. The food was phenomenal. The service was impeccable and I would recommend this to anybody looking for a dining experience in Washington, DC. While it is certainly not cheap, it is not terribly expensive either. The food was unbelievably delicious. Oddly, our Lyft driver who delivered us to the door happened to be Turkish and was telling us how great the place was as we arrived.“
“I enjoyed it! Popped into it after work. I even sparked up a convo with the guys at the bar (which I never do), so def a cozy spot for sure. Music wasn't terrible either. I got big portion of brussels sprouts, tater tots and root beer ? @“
“I didn’t get any pictures of my gyro feast because I inhaled it so quickly. The gyro is the best I think I’ve had in the DMV, but I want to go back a second time to test it. The Greek fries were also excellent, so crispy and the toppings were everything I didn’t know I needed. I can’t wait to return!“
“My partner and I visited Gin Ramen & Asian Tapas on the evening of Monday, March 11, 2024. The host was prompt and friendly, seating us at the bar. We tried the Gyoza, Gin Ramen, and Red Curry Ramen—all of it was not only delicious but also visually appealing. The atmosphere was welcoming and cozy, making our dining experience very enjoyable. We're looking forward to returning for their happy hour (both drinks and food very nice prices). I highly recommend this spot for a delightful dining experience.“
“I had the experience with Brunch, where I was able to try a little of everything.Cassava is delicious and makes you miss Brazil; the Beans disappointed me a little; the banana dessert is delicious and the rest of the dish is normal. The service is good and I was served in Portuguese.“
“The office I work at loves to order here for luncheons. This time I tried one of their fan favorites the Sweet Thai Chili Grilled Chicken Sandwich. It was so so good. I was very impressed. It had the right amount of kick from the chili and crunch from the slaw. Next luncheon, I will prob order again thats just how good it was & on a warm brioche bun.“
“Came here with a group of 4 people for dinner. We had reservations but ended up having to wait about 40 minutes for a table to become available. Super busy restaurant... the carpaccio and burrata for the appetizers were amazing and we were ready to order a second of each. We all tried a pasta dish for the entree, all of which were great but felt that the ravioli option was on the light side. Finished off with dessert which was excellent.“
“We order a couple of sandwiches for take out (we're sightseeing in DC so we didn't want to waste time!) Both were delicious and very fair price for the amount and quality of food. My only complaint would be the service, not very friendly people. But still, I'd definitely come back for another of these!“
“I always enjoy going to Elephant Jumps Thai restaurant for their food. I usto work across the street back in the days and found out about this restaurant. I have tried a different meal every time I have ordered from here and have never been disappointed. I have moved to Woodbridge and I still make the drive when I want to get some Thai food.“
“Thought this was a sit down place but when we got here we were greeted with a sample rib which instantly had us ordering. Food was great also the people who helped us. Definitely needing of a local restaurant for sit down is the only difficult thing.“
“The menu at The zemeda offers a delightful fusion of flavors. Each dish is beautifully presented, showcasing fresh ingredients and attention to detail. Whether you're a meat lover, vegetarian Ethiopian food there's something for everyone.“
“Yum!! Stopped in Friday afternoon and got the Korean Fried Chicken bowl with the garlic sauce and rice and it was delicious! Even the coleslaw it came with was good (and I'm not someone who usually likes coleslaw). Chicken was tender and flavorful while the rice was decent, really enjoyed the sauce that seeped into the rice from the chicken. The coleslaw is a mayo base and almost had a sweetness to it too. Service was good and speedy. You order at the counter and you have to watch the number ticker at the front for your number as they don't really call out your number. There are tables inside as well as outside and the overall establishment was clean.“
“Godseongbi that is hard to find in downtown DC. The sandwiches are not eye-poppingly amazing, but they are all above average. I didn't expect much from the coffee, but it exceeded my expectations. This is a great coffee restaurant. And above all, the welcome no-tip system.“
“I got the smoky sweet chicken wrap and the cauliflower nuggets w/ fries meal. I ordered online and got there about an hour after my food was ready. The breading on the nuggets didn't really taste like much and the fries didn't have seasoning on them. I really liked the wrap and the tangerine drink tho, so I'd just get smth else if I go here again“
“The lobster roll was flavorful, but it felt quite small given the price. While I understand lobster is expensive, I expected a more substantial portion for the price paid. The restaurant was empty with no music playing, and the staff, while not rude, were not particularly friendly. They seemed preoccupied with their phones in the kitchen and did not acknowledge a "thank you" when said to them.“
“Idk how I went so long having never tried Jets! I attended a football watch party at a friends house (they are from Detroit) and they ordered jets. One slice in and I knew I'd be a forever customer! Sure enough 2 weeks later I found myself in Jets picking up an order placed online. This is the BEST pizza in the area! It's thick and made with high quality ingredients! I will say the night I stopped in the physical shop it was packed! It was a Friday night, and the line extended down the entire shop and out into the parking lot. Even for those of us who had placed an order ahead of time they were running slightly behind getting those orders out so there was a lot of standing around. However, upon arrival, I simply told them I was there to pick up my order and they started working on it right away so that I could grab it quick-ish and head out. I was there for about 10 minutes? Note if you are placing an order online, be advised that the wait will be probably closer to 45 minutes and there's no need to come early because the pizza is not ready LOL. But trust me it's worth the wait and by the amount of customers there I can say that others agree.“
“This is our second time here and we love the food here, this time we tried new dishes and it fair to say they were tasty. The Roti& green curry is our all time favorite. Must try. We also had the chicken wontons, they were very crispy and nice. Try it if you like crispy food. For main course we ordered the Kao prik chicken and Khao Soi. Both were good. The Khao Zoi had 4 chicken thighs, which I felt is but too much meat. Maybe 2 chicken thighs and more soup would also improve the flavor. Overall must try. Also a very nicely decorated place.“
“Stopped by here mid morning. Ordered an egg cheese sausage croissant and a small coffee. It was delicious and the staff was very friendly and it would've cost me double at the Star****s It's inside the MLKing library so it was nice and quiet as a bonus.“
“Very clean location. Friendly staff. The harvest salad with hot grains was delicious and very filling. Not a fan of the lemon dressing but that's not their fault. All the vegetables were fresh even though I came in closer to their closing time. My order was completed very quickly. Will be back.“
“I've tried quite a few restaurants in Washington DC but frankly S.S you’re the best, their sandwich and smoothie are just wow ❤️and the welcome and kindness of the staff is really to be commended. Try going there you weren't going to regret it?“
“My sister and niece recommended this place to me in the heart of Georgetown . I went there today in a very sunny day in March. I absolutely loved the ambiance. I felt like I was in a cafe in Europe. I ordered the three tea sandwiches and they were delicious! . I had a delicious cocktail called Bees Knees. The waitress was kind and professional I can’t wait to go back!“
“A family business. food was great, tasty and reasonably priced. workers were incredibly respectful and kind.A good place to study, hang out with friends or just to eat. Both owners, Jay and Jamie, were present and extremely considerate. You can tell they really appreciate every customer and their craft.“
“Been here multiple times and happy to say that the food is still just as delicious as when we first came here over a year ago! I often avoid ordering spaghetti when I go to restaurants but this is the only place that my husband and I will race to see who gets to order the spaghetti (and not share). Last night we had the rigatoni as well and needless to say, no plate was left empty. The portions are perfect and service was equally as wonderful.“
“Finally visited this sub shop. Had read about it on Eatery. Glad I went. I got the Teamster Italian Cold Cuts) and the Never Been Cheddar (Roast Beef). I also ordered 2 whole deli pickles. The Teamster reminded me of the subs I used to get at the Italian Store in Arlington. Wonderful. Eat it for lunch. The Roast Beef I will save for dinner. The large pickle was perfect. I will return. They are a bit pricey but I think they are worth it. The only thing missing were napkins.“
“We love it! Everything is fresh and tastes good. The take away bag and packaging is excellent as well, very neat and classy.Today we had a reward from the app so we only paid a total of $6 for 2 bibibop bowls, 1 lemonade and 1 cookie!!!Please open a branch in Orlando...“
“Absolutely perfect. So glad we found this place. The coffee is excellent, and the food totally slaps. I had the shakshuka. It had the perfect serving size, perfect temperature, and perfect flavor. Little bit of spice, lots of savory, eggs cooked just right. Bread was well toasted and the perfect accompaniment. My cold brew was very good as well. I liked the ordering system too. It was easy and efficient. 10/10 will eat again“
“Food was excellent. Very small and quaint. Servers were nice but as small as it was I would assume they could see from anywhere my glass was very near empty.Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair friendly. I am on a mobility scooter and could not get it in. Left it outside and used my cane to get in.“
“Ordered the forbidden rice bowl for delivery. Food arrived hot and smelled really good. Taste was bland, had to add a bunch of salt (the only "spice" available at the office) as there was almost no flavor. Was really disappointed to spend over $30 and have a less-than stellar meal from a restaurant I heard great reviews from.“
“Close to home. Good service at all time, although sometimes food tastes different. The staff are friendly. My 6 years old son is a fan of souffle. We visit this store everydayKid-friendliness: Staff are super nice to my kid. Always have something extra for free. Thank you“
