“I’m going to post the same review I gave on Yelp - this is a 5 Star place! After a day in DC, my family decided to try Soul Thai on our way home. What a terrific Experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was some of the best Thai we have ever had. The Pad Thai was amazing. The Hang Over Noodles (Drunken Noodles) was exceptional. And the red curry was by far the best I’ve had in the area. The ambiance was quite pleasant as well. Initially we were sat in an area that was a little noisy for our taste, but they graciously moved us to a much quieter section. The owner, Nancy came over after our meal and was very appreciative of our comments on the meal. She shared with us that she personally picks the freshest ingredients she can find to ensure the quality of the food. I would highly recommend Soul Thai to everyone. We will be coming back soon. “Service was great and beyond exceptional. A place to try for special occasion for seafood. We had the grilled octopus and sardines for appetizers. Both are great options. We had the Connecticut version of lobster roll which came in hot. The catch of the day was a pan seared cod. It was good. The hit was the squid ink risotto. This place is great to celebrate special occasions but not for weekly or even monthly dining. Would be cost prohibitive.“

“This place really deserves the high rating! It's a great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The cafe is charming, very clean, and as cheerful as the name suggests! We had a veggie breakfast burrito and a veggie omelet, both of which were delicious and full of fresh ingredients. The coffee was really good too. There are lots of options on the menu and the prices are very reasonable. The lady who runs the place (owner?) is so nice and welcoming, too. We'll definitely be back!“

“Best pho I’ve ever had! I take my friends here to show them and they all love it. I usually do takeout but I dined in today, the food came out very fast. I usually prefer a more spaced out seating arrangement but that’s my own personal opinion and it isn’t even possible because the place is small. The consistent quality and attention to detail is what makes this place great. “You have got to ask for Jay Kim, he is the best server in the house. He was patient and ever so helpful with us as first time hot potters. I had a vegetarian hot pot, well, except for the dumplings. Although they have no vegetarian options, he worked with me and provided me with an alternate option. It would be more awesome for them to add it to their menu tho for those of us who just love veggies. The broth is vegetarian based so it makes sense to have a vegetarian option along with it. We had a party of 8 and Jay Kim made it so much fun!!! The food was absolutely delicious. Everything was so fresh. One other option that would have been great to have would be fresh ginger at the sauce bar and mushrooms on the vegetable plate. We were all pleasantly pleased with our food. The ambiance is very nice, low light but more than enough to cook and enjoy each other's company. Jay Kim made sure we always had what we needed. The sauce bar was amazing, so many choices. I recommend making a few bowls, some for the broth and and some for dipping your cooked food. If you get any type of meat, also make a sauce to marinade the meat. You don't have to but it made a good difference. Meats are thinly sliced for quick cooking and again,so fresh. The price was worth the amount of food and the experience. There is an all you can eat option or an a la carte option where you just get one meat selection and a vegetable plate which was more than enough for us as a party of young ladies. This was a great first hot pot experience and I definitely recommend it, just make sure to ask for Jay Kim. I know you will enjoy it!!!“

“I’ve been eating at this place since 2023, and it is definitely the definition of “Comfort food”. There are many Pho places in DC, but this one has the best taste! The Pho has always been delicious, with a consistent taste and good amount of meat. The dishes are varied and served fast but without missing a detail. The prices are also very good.“

“$2 Crazy Hour is absolutely insane! They have a great selection of sushi and various appetizers. The sushi is the same high quality as their dinner service ,the fish pieces are huge and incredibly fresh. “You can’t get better soup than from a place that specializes in it. The seollongtang had plenty of noodles and meat. The galbitang had a savory broth, lots of meat — great flavor all around. The haemul pajeon was crispy and stuffed with seafood.

The standout item was the kong-guksu. Dad had been craving it as it was a favorite of his in childhood. He has tried it at other places and wasn’t impressed. Here, he finished the whole thing and would’ve licked the bowl clean.

Note: the soups are under-salted so you can customize them to your liking. The salt containers on each table have enough salt to please any saltaholic.“
