The Birthday Vibe:
We chose Olive Garden for its family-friendly atmosphere to celebrate a birthday. It is our go-to spot for important milestones, and they didn't disappoint.

The Service:
Our waitress, Mariela, took care of our large group and she was a total rock star! She was professional, warm, walked us through the menu, and perfectly answered all of our questions.

The Appetizers:
We started with the Lasagna Fritta and Calamari—both were fantastic and disappeared quickly.

The Soups:
Out of this world! The Zuppa Toscana (spicy Italian sausage, kale, and potatoes in a creamy broth) had the absolute perfect taste and seasoning. We also loved the Chicken & Gnocchi, and the Minestrone was a wonderful, vegan-friendly option for our table.

The Main Dishes: Everything we ordered for our entrees was absolutely delicious.

The food was fresh and delicious, though I would’ve preferred the soup served a bit hotter. The staff were super friendly, and all of my requests were handled perfectly with no problems. “You have got to ask for Jay Kim, he is the best server in the house. He was patient and ever so helpful with us as first time hot potters. I had a vegetarian hot pot, well, except for the dumplings. Although they have no vegetarian options, he worked with me and provided me with an alternate option. It would be more awesome for them to add it to their menu tho for those of us who just love veggies. The broth is vegetarian based so it makes sense to have a vegetarian option along with it. We had a party of 8 and Jay Kim made it so much fun!!! The food was absolutely delicious. Everything was so fresh. One other option that would have been great to have would be fresh ginger at the sauce bar and mushrooms on the vegetable plate. We were all pleasantly pleased with our food. The ambiance is very nice, low light but more than enough to cook and enjoy each other's company. Jay Kim made sure we always had what we needed. The sauce bar was amazing, so many choices. I recommend making a few bowls, some for the broth and and some for dipping your cooked food. If you get any type of meat, also make a sauce to marinade the meat. You don't have to but it made a good difference. Meats are thinly sliced for quick cooking and again,so fresh. The price was worth the amount of food and the experience. There is an all you can eat option or an a la carte option where you just get one meat selection and a vegetable plate which was more than enough for us as a party of young ladies. This was a great first hot pot experience and I definitely recommend it, just make sure to ask for Jay Kim. I know you will enjoy it!!!“

“I’m going to post the same review I gave on Yelp - this is a 5 Star place! After a day in DC, my family decided to try Soul Thai on our way home. What a terrific Experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was some of the best Thai we have ever had. The Pad Thai was amazing. The Hang Over Noodles (Drunken Noodles) was exceptional. And the red curry was by far the best I’ve had in the area. The ambiance was quite pleasant as well. Initially we were sat in an area that was a little noisy for our taste, but they graciously moved us to a much quieter section. The owner, Nancy came over after our meal and was very appreciative of our comments on the meal. She shared with us that she personally picks the freshest ingredients she can find to ensure the quality of the food. I would highly recommend Soul Thai to everyone. We will be coming back soon. “Found this place tucked away next to the CVS on Gallows Road and decided to give it a shot—I definitely didn’t regret it! The food was amazing, and the service was just as great. Zhou was our server, and he was fantastic. He grilled our food for us, and all of his recommendations were on point.

They were also running their happy hour special, which included all-you-can-eat, and it was such a great deal. Great food, great service, and an overall amazing experience. I highly recommend checking this place out!“

“The best Vietnamese food hands down! When I’m in the area I always have to stop by Le Bledo to get a banh mi and a soup. The consistent quality and attention to detail is what makes this place great. I know what to expect so I’m always satisfied with my food from the fresh baked daily bread to the variety of Vietnamese classic soups such as pho, bun bo hue, and bun rieu 😋 10/10 highly recommend and bring a friend!“

“Yesterday was my first visit to Elephant Jumps. I was impressed by the many menu items I’d never heard of before, especially the ones that said there was no option to substitute ingredients, even the meat. That tells me they want their customers to experience those dishes in their traditional form. Everything I ordered was delicious and I can’t wait to go back!“

“This was one of those deals where I viewed the menu before I went to the restaurant. I sat outside because it was a nice evening.
I had the duck roll appetizer and crying tiger.
Everything came out pretty fast. I thought I had ordered duck spring rolls, but this turned out to be like a burrito, with julienned cucumber and hoisin sauce inside. It was alright, but I wasn’t really a fan.
The crying tiger was cooked perfectly medium rare like I asked. The sauce was a little thinner and lighter than I’m used to getting back in Thailand, but it tasted alright. The beef paired well with the steamed rice I opted for. I think, in retrospect, I would have preferred the nam Tok beef dish and the shrimp spring rolls. Maybe next time.“

“Grill Kabob Express is one of the best places to enjoy delicious Afghan food! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere, and the customer service is outstanding.

“This place has the cozy, authentic feel of a traditional Korean seolleongtang restaurant. The staff was friendly, the food came out quickly, and everything was delicious. Even the kimchi served with the seolleongtang was good! My favorite part was the broth—it was rich, flavorful, and exactly how I like it. Definitely my kind of place. I can see myself coming back often!

Panisa Thai Dining never disappoints. Every dish came out fresh, perfectly balanced, and full of authentic flavor—hands down some of the best Thai food in the area.
The service was just as wonderful as the meal; the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive from start to finish. We also noticed they recently added new specialty cocktails to the drink menu, which made for a fantastic pairing with the meal.
Between the delicious food, great drinks, and friendly hospitality, Panisa remains a regular go-to. Highly recommend checking it out!“

“I took my toddler here for her first Olive Garden experience, and she loved it! The staff was super friendly and accommodating of my toddler, and they made her laugh a lot! My toddler *loved* the breadsticks and almost ate an entire basket of breadsticks by herself. The kids' menu pasta with meat sauce was also a huge hit (and it was good for leftovers, too.)

Service was quick, and all the food was tasty. It was a good family outing! The white staff and management were really attentive.

It was actually Easter, and I had a long, emotional day—I had taken my mother to the hospital and, being 8 months pregnant, I hadn’t eaten yet. I was exhausted and overwhelmed. But an employee named Anthony completely turned my day around.
His attitude was amazing—so polite, patient, and genuinely kind. He treated me with such care and respect, and in that moment, it meant everything. This is exactly the kind of customer service we need more of today.

“There are so many pho restaurants in NOVA, but Pho Hai Duong has quickly become my favorite. I order their combination pho with extra hoisin and jalapeños at least once a week, and with their early opening hours I can even get pho for breakfast! I love the quality of their meat, the flavor of their broth, and the consistency of the meal each time I order. I definitely recommend this restaurant and feel spoiled to be able to eat there so regularly. 💯“

I was living off beauregard st. behind the old shoppers in 1995 and working at my first job at arby's when I discovered Szechuan Delight. There were always very affordable and quick.. Items used to be around 5.95 or $6.95.. They have excellent lomein, hunan and szechuan dishes. However what is very unique to that restaurant is their Chicken & Hot Garlic dish. In course of time, after college, I moved to maryland, then florida, followed by long stay in europe. I have never found anything close that their chicken & hot garlic sauce dish.. Every chance I get to visit virginia, perhaps every few years, I try to stop at szechuan delight for that dish and even after 30 years, it still tastes exactly the same. I've looked up thousands of instructions and could never replicate it.. I hope my next visit, the chef might allow me to learn how to make that dish, so I can enjoy it while living in europe.“

“Been eating at this chain my whole life and they’re still the only Chinese food restaurants I like. They use soy sauce rather than brown sauce which makes the biggest difference. Plus their prices and portion size can’t be beat. They closed 2 locations because of Covid but this one is still here and I drive out of my way to eat here.
