“I highly recommend Front Porch for those who are gluten free. I am extremely sensitive and I had no issues. The GF bread was normal size! The Reuben was yummy, the potato salad was delicious and creamy, and the pound cake was so so good!!“

Chef Leah is as much a researcher as she is a good chef. Being a long time food writer who has been on assignment in many kitchens, its no surprise to me that Leah has carved out a reputation for herself in Richmond recently. She sources a lot from local farmers, adheres often to seasonal common sense, and takes inspiration from her reading and research on Soul Food, Southern food, and Virginia food. I wouldn't classify prices at The Roosevelt as cheap but also wouldn't classify them as extravagant either. Marketed by many as a "neighborhood spot" I always see The Roosevelt as a great date night spot, particularly for those who might fancy themselves foodies. Congrats to Leah and The Roosevelt on their recent James Beard nod. In my opinion, well deserved.“

The food was absolutely amazing. From the calamari to steak and the lobster role, everything we had was delicious. “Not only the best vegan joint I’ve been to but also my longest supported local business in the state for over a year. The menu might be small but they heavily prioritize quality over quantity. If you’re looking for restaurant quality vegan fast food that’s authentically crafted, then this is the place for you. I cannot recommend this place. Try a cash wrap or a breakfast burrito here and you’ll be in love in no time.“

Please go back to original set up. let us sit where we want. order a beer when we want. If we want full service we will go to the restaurant side. This may work at the other locations, but Richmond isn't Charlottesville. This was our goto brewery, today's has us thinking differently now“

“After this place has been on “RVA Restaurants to Try” list for about 3 years, this was our first time eating at Fat Dragon, but it certainly not be our last! The wonton soup was the best my mother has ever tasted…keep in mind, she’s traveled all over the world. The ginger dressing was so delicious, I asked the server if they sold it in bottles. The garlic chicken and basil beef were both so tender and flavorful, I would highly recommend them both. And last but not least, our server was great! Do not wait to try this place like I did!!!! “SO happy Great Harvest is open again. The new ownership is fantastic and so welcoming. We just stopped in for a quick lunch and didn’t realize they were closing in 10 minutes, so we said we could take our food to go; they said, “absolutely not,” and gave us a free muffin and cookie! The decor and new layout is exactly what the shop needed. It was always a cute and cozy place, but the vibe it has now fits way better, and the “something” that was lacking before is finally here. And of course, the food was superb. The menu is the same (SO happy about that!) but it feels elevated, and more thoughtful now. Absolutely thrilled to have Great Harvest back and better than ever, and we can’t wait to go back!“

“Small shop with a Rustic vibe with really good coffee and bagels. This is not the coffee shop to try to work in. The brown sugar cardamom latte is really good and have the perfect cardamom flavor that isn't overpowering. Really good service. I like that there is a free library outside and they have free community meals for people who needs it.“

I order take out or delivery from here probably once a week (for the past year or so) and every time I go in to get my order if DJ is working, he has a huge smile and welcomes me in by name. He is so sweet and always makes sure my order is correct. I’ve also never had issues with my order when he has handled it. Today, I ordered delivery and he even wrote on the cookie bag Hey Mrs. Lexie, Enjoy & Merry Christmas. These little things are the level of customer service that go above and beyond and keep us coming back. He is vital to this company and deserves some sort of promotion. We obviously will continue coming back but definitely wanted to give recognition to one of the best employees! Thank you DJ for being amazing!“
