“First time dining here and the environment brought back great memories and a sense of warm nostalgia filled the air of my childhood. The food was amazing too, I felt like I was having breakfast with family again. I'll definitely come back, hungry for more“

“This is the kind of place you’d find in a bigger city! There are very few other restaurants in Roanoke at this caliber. Top 3 in the area for sure. Definitely recommend calling in for a reservation ahead of time - they don’t have long hours and fill up quickly. Cocktails are creative, and typically on point. I absolutely LOVE their Chicken Liver Mousse and my husband said the Oyster Rockefeller some of the best he’s ever had. The small plates are alright, but the entrees and dessert definitely don’t disappoint!! Love the cozy, intimate vibe - great for special occasions and date nights ❤️“

“I had my first experience at Wildflour this weekend and it was far above and beyond my expectations! I ordered the eggs Benedict which were amazing! My husband ordered the French toast and it was so good I kept snagging bites of his! And of course I couldn’t go wrong with the bottomless mimosas lol. All In all, I wanna go back every Sunday!“

“My favorite place to eat!! Our last visit, our server, Kenny, made the experience so amazing. She was so attentive and hospitable. I got the lemon ricotta pancakes and they were perfect. The service was on point. Highly recommend. Will be back.“

“My friends and I LOVE this place!! Such a great atmosphere for catching up on the details of each other's lives while relaxing with a glass of wine! The food is great and the dessert is out of this world! The addition of their "pub," the Alley Cat, which is located downstairs, is an added bonus! It has a totally different vibe from upstairs, offering a large selection of craft beer, delicious food, and music. Trust me about this place!! It is well worth a visit!Also... check out the fun gift shop!! Something for everyone!!“

“The ice cream is great! The roast beef sandwich for $7.99 with no sides or drink had very little roast beef and it seems like the cheapest variety of deli cuts from the grocery store… it’s disappointing because I even left a tip before getting my sandwich… tomato was fresh and thick and the cheese was good (hopefully theirs) and fresh bread ….“

“Tjis was our first time in the restaurant. I ordered a cheeseburger with onion rings, and my boyfriend ordered a hamburger with the cheese fries with bacon. The service was great. Kathy was wonderful to us. The people there are so kind, although the food may take a little while to get it was worth it. Definately will go again.“

“I ordered Chicken Parmesan to be delivered by Door Dash. When I got it, the entree was steamy hot. There was enough of it to feed 2-3 people. It was very good. The Caesar Salad was fresh and tasty. Garlic bread was included. I will order from Uncle D’s again. I will probably ask for extra tomato sauce to go with all the noodles.“

“This place was in a very difficult spot to get to, having been blocked in by those in the gas station, but we had to stop because they were adamently recommended to us by some locals. The food is breakfast diner food, and it was delicious and familiar. Its exactly as you would expect it, no frills needed! The service was great, the waitress was attentive and kind and the food came out quickly. This is a cute little stop and definitely recommended for a quick, simple, delicious breakfast.“

“Comfort food at very reasonable prices. Salad bar is large. Steaks are fine; nothing to write home about however they are not expensive and come out very quickly. We ate at about 5 pm on a Monday and we were in and out in way less than an hour. So if you are looking for quick fairly tasty eats and good friendly service this is a good spot. (My cocktail was $3.50; in 2024 that is unheard of!)“

“Judging this only from the Easter buffet and not normal hours or menu, it was pretty good. The stuffed flounder was awesome, the pork roast was tasty, but not as tender as I would have liked, however please keep in mind that's just my opinion. The brussel sprouts were delicious and awesome! Salad was a little too fancy for my liking, since I'm a fan more of iceberg lettuce than fancy leaf lettuce. Overall I rated a four out of a five.“

“We just got back from eating at this place. We had very little to wait. Service was excellent. Prices a. It steep as they are everywhere else. I had a delicious ? Belgian waffle and strawberry topping. The only issue I have is the prices for the topping and whipped cream. Again, I know that most businesses are having to cover the costs of what they provide at the expense of the patrons... Such is life now. Coffee was delicious. All in all I think it was a great choice. Come and enjoy some wonderful meals with fantastic service.Parking: There is lots of parking available. No concerns hereWheelchair accessibility: There is plenty of wheel chair accessible seating for those who need it.“

“My wife and I just moved into the area recently, and were looking for a place with pool tables and my wife found this place. We passed by it a few times before our first stop and noticed the giant coffee pot attached to the roof of the building which is something we look for in unique places to stop in. One night we decided to visit the Coffee Pot in the late afternoon and found the place mostly quiet and empty. There was a fire going in the old fireplace which was unexpected, but shouldn't have been after I learned about the bar's history. My wife and I enjoy the occasional dive bar, we have for a while. For us, it is a nice change from the other mainstream venues we visit, and the patrons and regulars have always been welcoming and friendly. The Coffee Pot was no exception. As other reviewers have stated, it is still a smoker-friendly bar and in these times it isn't often a crowd pleaser, especially for first-timers. However, we have found it does weed out certain types of patrons who sometimes can't suspend their complaints and enjoy something completely different, historic in this case, and seemingly off the beaten path. We stayed to play pool, the goal of our visit, and then stayed for one of the band's sets. We also ordered sandwiches/hot-subs as well which didn't take long to get and the food was fresh and hot considering the Wednesday night crowd there had kept the kitchen busy and they were also short staffed. Their Wednesday night house band has been a mashup of different bluegrass players (musicians) over the last 25 years. One component of the band, and the bar, they are deeply proud of - we get it and we respect that. Plus other mainstream players, Richey Valenz, Dickey Betts, to name a few have graced their stage at some point in time. We'll be going back this Wednesday as we were told the house band is giving the stage to a younger bluegrass band to encourage and support younger bands in the area. Again, a nice change from other live music venues in the county for us to sample and enjoy. Like a good Irish friend of mine told me a long time ago... "If you don't have fun, it's your own fault."“

“Good ol’ Waffle house. Food seems to still taste the same, even in different states. This one is reasonably priced, usually can find an open booth, newly rebuilt (3 years ago) so it’s clean.. I mean the previous building was demolished and a new one erected. Still cold inside, I suggest a sweater for the ladies who are cold natured.Vegetarian options: Sure they offer vegetarian dishes, but you have to remember it’s still cooked on the same flat top as the meat.“

“The build your own burger here is second to none. Absolutely juicy and top grade beef. Seasoned fries fresh and hot. The dated appearance of the place, kinda sloppy and seats are all worn out as is the 90's decor. Great service and amazing staff.“

“We go there once a week and I like the salads but I frequently don't get a full bowl. If you are going to charge restaurant prices for salads, you could at least fill it up. I have had to take it back to the counter and point it out to them and one time they just threw more lettuce on top! I don't like complaining but getting tired of that. Might have to start getting my salad from DQ if it keeps up“

“Incredible food and smoothies, Yes! But, they also just served a big helping of customer service to me! Thanks to the staff and Kathryn for responding kindly and offering to make me another sammich, after I sent a hangry email to them when an error was made with an allergen. Great to know when a business cares to do right :). I'll be back!“

“This was a fun local spot to have dinner. Took my three kids there and they really enjoyed making their own pizzas. It's a fun little tavern type place. We happened to get there while there was an open table, but it def gets crowded and they do not take reservations. It was cold out so the patio wasn't open but they did have a fire going in the outdoor fireplace. Food was good and the wine was a nice big pour!“
