“This place is adorable, but I was unaware it was inside the HMart (back right corner when you enter) it's a little cold since it's by grocery freezers so I don't really recommend it as a cafe to hang out or lounge in. But they do have some cozy table to do so if you like. I had a purple latte. They are like alot of other Korean bakeries in the area as far their tea, coffee, and bakery offerings, altho a little bit higher priced than some of the others I usually go to in Annandale. Castella loafs were $4 each which I buy often elsewhere. The staff is kind and was also wonderful at letting us and other shoppers know that all their breads were going on 50% off at 630 and it seemed to draw a timely crowd. Would not make a special trip for this bakery, but it is nice to know it is there and should stop by when I go to this HMart.“
“No-frills, Cafe V is run by kind people who efficiently make you your coffee. Enjoying more sweet drinks, I enjoyed the large honey cinnamon latte. Within minutes, it was ready at the bar on a Sunday morning. The space is very practical with plenty of tables. My latte was over $7, which seemed a little expensive, but everything is these days.“
“Came here for a coffee and quick bite. We were quickly greeted by Honey who assisted us with our questions about a few ethiopianDishes. We went with the fetira and croissant. Food was cooked fresh, served hot and tasted very good. Honey was very courteous and we got to talk with her about the restaurant. Nice, clean and relaxing place to enjoy a coffee and breakfast.“
“Sunday brunch shouldn’t be missed at Borek G, had a great spread of eggs, simit, dips and spreads. Also not to be missed are the Turkish coffee and tea, along with a piece of baklava for a sweet ending. Service is fantastic at this family owned resto and all the little details add up to a wonderful experience.“
“All in all, a pretty cool place and unique in downtown Vienna. I want to come back and visit when it's a little less crowded. My daughter and I came here on a Saturday morning to grab a quick cup of coffee before we took on the day. On walking in, I was immediately struck by how small the place is. The space really isn't all that big and there are only about 5-7 tables throughout, so during busy periods (like when we went) it would be really tough to get a seat. There was no line, so we went right up to the counter and placed our order. They don't do pour overs on the weekends, so I got a drip coffee and had it in my hand just a few seconds after ordering. After scanning the room, I realized that there were no tables available, so my daughter and I went outside and sat on a bench out there for a few minutes until the cold got to us. In total, I probably spent less than 3 minutes inside. That's too bad, because I really enjoy getting to enjoy the atmosphere of a coffee shop and having a little time to enjoy and experience the coffee. That said, it was my mistake for coming here at a busy time and honestly, there's only so much you can do about the size of a building. The drip coffee itself was okay, nothing to write home about – but that's drip coffee. I love that this place roasts their own beans and I would love to come back when they're doing pour overs and give it another shot.Overall, this place has some cool potential and I want to try it again and will update my review after the next round.“
“I come here all the time but I’ve never posted a review. The staff is very friendly, and the service is phenomenal. I feel comfortable here and the facility is clean and modern. Good selection of beer, and the best Indian food in northern Virginia. Don’t skip out on it just because it’s a gas station. You’d be missing out on a real local gem.“
“The vegetarian options are lacking. I wish they had a “build your own” sandwich option online so I could make a veggie sandwich.Edit: while the vegetarian options are not to my family’s needs, they do have a few offerings that would appeal to some. Bumping my rating up to 4 stars!“
“What a cute little cafe in the heart of downtown Vienna. It's such a warm and cozy vibe and their owners are so welcoming. Such great service!I got their affogatos which was amazing because you get to pick your ice cream flavor since their store is also an ice cream parlor. I got some pastries which were so good. I want to come during breakfast so I can try their food! I hope to return!“
“These are the friendliest people in the food business. The food is good, served quickly and always with a smile, respect, and sometimes even a song. This has been a standard lunch spot for me ever since I started working in Tysons every day.“
“What a hidden, little gem the Secret Garden Cafe is! We stumbled upon it as we were passing through the area. We ate outside in the quaint “garden” complete with flowers and a lovely water feature! I ate the braised beef over macaroni and cheese while my husband enjoyed the stir fried noodles with chicken. Both dishes were delicious! The wait staff were very friendly and attentive and we enjoyed a nice, peaceful lunch! We will definitely stop back when we are in the area again!“
“This is my favorite place to get lunch during the week. The staff is beyond friendly and the food is always delicious and affordable. I have tried their burgers, Sandwiches, and subs and I have yet to be disappointed in something. My go-to meal is the Chicken steak and cheese combo.. so good! If this place was open on the weekends I would eat here as well.“
“Manoa's bingsoo is the only one I like to get in NOVA. Their ice is shaved so finely it looks like coconut shavings and they never melt even in the heat of the summer. I love all the toppings they include (mochi, corn flakes, flavored condensed milk, and ice cream). I know before they used to layer the toppings with the ice, but I still think that there's a good enough amount. They have so many bakery items inside and I like their outdoor seating as well. I've ordered some food too and it seems like they make everything to order which I appreciate. It's a nice place to go study, meet with friends, or go to for dessert after some KBBQ.“
“I love it when an owner of a small business pays great attention to every complaint, feedback or concern conveyed by a customer.I used to live within walking distance to this place. I loved the atmosphere, the quality of coffee and baked goods and the general vibe of the shop. One time while I was placing an order at the cashier, I noticed the lady taking my order was treating me poorly and rolling her eyes when I changed my preference for a breakfast choice and finally threw the receipt on the counter for me to pick up. I understand people have bad days, but you can't be rude if working in the front-facing part of a popular coffee shop. I went back to my table in dismay, when I noticed that the barista by the coffee machine acted like she is the manager giving orders to the others on how to go about running their stations. So, I approached her and asked if she is indeed the manager, and she said she is actually the owner. I conveyed my complaint to her without pointing fingers and she immediately apologized and offered me a free pastry. She promised to improve the training and make sure no other customer gets this poor treatment.I RESPECT excellent customer service. Kudos to this place.“
“Pleasant experience! A little cafe tucked in a corner of a shopping plaza. The employee greeted us with a smile as soon as we entered the cafe and answered questions we had about their special desserts...one of them was a delicious and crispy baklava. I tried the cardamom coffee, loved the spiced flavors combined with my baklava. Nice, quiet spot to have a relaxing morning with a smile on your face.“
“First time here and customer service was great! Michi was a great helper! Got me situated and comfortable with the place and her! Would recommend this!!! Ask for michi! Her bubbly personality and kind smile will go great with a cup of coffee! Her eyes were as beautiful as the night stars, her giggle was that of a angels, and her attentive care was that of a mothers. I miss her already. Till next time“
“This is my go-to spot every time I'm in Tysons! I absolutely love the dandelion tea drinks because they taste like coffee without the caffeine I usually get the dandelion tea with less/half sweetness and the staff is always super nice and patient about getting the sweetness level exactly how I like it! Can't wait to come back!!“
“A bakery that offers fresh baked goods, delicious sandwiches, and other types of hot and cold drinks. There is also a refrigerator that serves types of fresh fruits and yogurt with oats. The product prices are average, suitable for all groups. The workers are friendly. I recommend visiting it.“
“I was in the mood for pancakes, but not really any decent places to choose from in the Gunston area. A quick Google search turned this place up, and boy was I happy to find it!! Pancakes were light, fluffy, and buttery and spot on. I can’t wait to go back and try some of the other things on the menu. The young lady that took my order was very sweet. The establishment was very clean and well organized, which is the opposite of all other business park eateries I’ve been in. Will be going back often. :)“
“I had the mean Green smoothie and the impossible burger, with a guava cheese pastry. Everything was amazing, you can taste how fresh everything is. And the guava pastry was delicious! I am super glad I found this place, I don't have to travel far now for quality smoothie ? will be returning “
“Just wow. I was in S. Korea for the last 2 years and this is by far the closest I’ve had to it. I came in and was warmly greeted and given time to order. I got the bibimbap and it was a generous portion. The food is made to order so you will always receive it hot. I ate in to see how they treat other customers and to no surprise the received the same amazing customer service. If I could give more stars I would. Give this restaurant a try for sure.Reviewed by J2✅“
“This was my first time getting takeaway from Chill Zone on recommendation from family and friends. Overall, the food was delicious, the cafe was very cozy, and the service was great BUT I found a piece of what I assume was stainless steel wool in my vermicelli chicken bowl--I spotted it immediately upon opening the box, so quality control appears to be lacking. This was super disappointing because otherwise, this would've been a five-star experience.“
“Love love love the Breakfast here! We had the Shrimp and Grits … my fiancé calls it a bowl of “ SLEEP” … Because it is that delicious and flavorful, but you will be knocked out after you eat it all! Lol!Oscar was our waiter… so friendly and exuded great customer service! Great guy! You’ve gotta try this if you are a lover of good ole country food or shrimp and grits… this will be your FAVORITE!!!P.S. Bring a pillow ( lol)“
“Whether you are a coffee connoisseur or just drinking for the caffeine, this place is perfect for you. They treat every customer like family and will take the time to ask you about your flavor profile and what time of coffee you typically like and then they proceed to provide you with an amazing coffee experience with the most delicious pour overs to espresso based drinks you've ever had. Watching them work is an added plus. They pay so much attention to each step of the process from when they freshly grind your beans to when they pull your shot or make your pour over, you can see them deep in thought; fully engaged in the process. They are constantly rotating their beans, bringing in award winning specialty coffee beans from all over the world. They usually have the beans for sale as well in case you love it and want to take some home.“
“Really enjoyed this Location ?The food was fresh, tasty and just overall delicious. The service was very welcoming and kind, the place is very clean and there is always someone here to help if needed.I always order the Works Omlette at the Leesburg location, and this location didn't disappoint.Highly recommend if you're in the area or wanna have a brunch date.“
“Gathering Grounds has some nice coffee. I would personally recommend their hot coffee drinks, because whatever milk for the latte has a nice steaminess to it, hence the latte. The iced coffees are also pretty good, but I personally prefer the hot coffees more. The chocolate croissant is pretty good, and tastes like it just came out of the oven. I also like the ginger tea from here. If I had a suggestion, however, it would be to offer more options for sandwiches or wraps the way Starbucks does. Maybe some turkey bacon, or chicken.Servers are nice, but I do wish that they had more seating as the place can get easily cramped, but when they are available, I really enjoy the lounge chairs.“
“In the Middle East. The interior is very nice, and the pastries variety was amazing. They have a mix of Arminian, Greek, and Turkish desserts and pastries. We ordered a selection and enjoyed every piece with our coffees. I'll definitely come back to try other varieties.“
“Got the bulgogi bowl, which had that yummy crispiness but I wish there was more radish! I also had the cozy health smoothie, which was delicious and thick so definitely worth 7$! Service was ok and I felt a little unwelcome although I went around 1pm and it wasn't super crowded. But overall, super cute place!“
“I've only been here once but it was such a wonderful experience. It was my first outing with a girlfriend and my little one and the staff really made us feel welcome and taken care of. Here and there, aside from our server they were checking on me and the little one, if she was ok or needed anything. I found that very kind and helped w/ my nervousness for taking care of little one during a day date in a restaurant. This is an uber late review. I was here during the holidays and the decorations were really cute and festive. Our server was Laila and she was very sweet and friendly. The food was great as well. I had the pancakes and my friend had the el presidente burrito w/ homemade salsa, both were awesome and homemade salsa stood out enough that my friend ordered some to go :D It's a great place to go that's family friendly, great food, and wonderful service.“
“I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at this late-night bakery and coffee shop! Their wide selection impressed me, from delectable gelato to mouthwatering pastries. The cakes, in particular, stood out for their perfect balance of sweetness. Additionally, their menu includes savory options like sandwiches. I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommend 10/10..“
“Refreshing and a great sweet treat while still feeling healthy I ordered the nutty acai and was surprised by how much I enjoyed this. The acai is a nice tart balance to the sweet nutella, and the granola and coconut add great texture to every bite as well. Fresh strawberries and banana top this bowl off to make it delicious! A very sweet woman working up front as well, it felt comfortable in there. I know the price is a bit steep for an acai bowl, however, I can see myself being full after eating this bowl (I got a medium) and I wouldn't go out of my way to buy all these ingredients and toppings to make it myself, so get yourself a treat and support local :)“
“This is a hole in the wall for Bolivian food! The mixed rice that's a bit red was really good. I don't have a picture of it but get that rice rather than the rice that is watery. They have different kinds! This short rib was thick and tasty and they have lots of sauces for you too. The spicy one on the table is SPICY but good! Overall recommend for you to stop by for a quick meal on a budget. They also have pastries and cheesy breads that are so good! This was a 3.7 for me, but i rounded up!“
“I worked an internship in the same building as this restaurant for 2 weeks. The first day, someone at the company told me about the restaurant, so I decided to go there for lunch on my first day. I got a Triple Club sandwich without the lettuce and tomato. Let me tell you, it was the best damn sandwich I have had in my life. I went back there every single day, and tipped 20% every time because the owners were such lovely people. It was $20, which equated to an hour and a half of work for this sandwich every day, and it was worth it every single time. I’m heading back to college tomorrow and I genuinely think the thing I will miss the most will be this restaurant. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend this place!“
“LOVE Mrs. Jo's! Everything about this place is great...the homemade food with daily specials, beverage selection, including variety of coffees using locally sourced coffee beans, the cozy yet modern environment with seating inside and outside, and most of all the owners and employees are SO WELCOMING!“
“Very good place overall, but something that has been bothering me recently is the filter/house coffee. It's incredibly watered down. The coffee looks like tinted water and hardly has any flavor. This may be because I'm getting my coffee around noon (I've been there in the mornings and it tends to be thicker plus I appreciate the bottomless mug) but still, I'd expect a solid house coffee before 2 or 3 and not something that tastes like the grounds have been filtered 2-3x. So please guys, load that filter up even a bit after the morning joe rush. They tend to have forty-six (i think by Counter Culture Coffee) and a featured single-origin, both of which, when there's more than a 1 to 50ish coffee to water ratio, are very good.As for the food, the bakery items are delicious and varied. I like the smoked smoked salmon and egg breakfast sandwich. Just be prepared for the hardly-cooked egg to explode in your face, so either press down on it first and it'll saturate your sandwich (if that's your thing) or try to get them to at least cook it medium. I asked twice and they did so once. I didn't mind that much, though, and the bun was worth it. Also I'd probably suggest having the chocolate croissant's filling more spread out rather than two slightly narrow and hard lines that feels kind of shrinkwrapped-style.Not a super diverse crowd but that comes with the territory--similar to the demographics of the Falls Church City in which it resides, maybe a little more (btw this is not to be confused with the broader "Falls Church" address within Fairfax County which is significantly more diverse). To compare with nearby Rare Bird Coffee Roasters, this is more establishment (NoVa style) meets new--and very cool nooks and crannies with a rustic vibe, complete with three charming outdoor spaces on three levels. Meanwhile, Rare Bird is more minimalist, with a yuppie (generally more diverse) crowd lined up quietly tapping away on their laptops, super nice hipster staff, plus some neat plants and paintings. Northside Social is, as the name suggests, more in twos or small business meetings. Northside is more of a restaurant whereas rare bird is more of a pure coffee shop, though the bakery items are delicious and the morning bread is healthy and filling. Now this has become more of a dual review, but since you may be looking into both, hopefully that's a little helpful. ☕Wheelchair accessibility: has easy to access ramp with gentle slope“
“Delicious cortado!! There are a few things in this world. I love more than a FRESH Cortadito when I'm in Florida and when I'm in Virginia Culotta shop, definitely scratch that itch. The store is small but very colorful and quaint. Many mugs and merch available for purchase. Many unique options and cocktails! Great addition to the Bloomies in mosaic. The perfect pick me up to keep u shopping and caffeinated. It was nice to see the options they had for different types of dairy or customization. For dietary needs. The lovely lady who rang me up at the register gave gave me me great advice on how to make my latte, sweet but not overly sweet and still authentic with plenty of flavor.I will certainly return for a signature late with a Latin twist!“
“We had a girls brunch at this place a few weeks ago. This place gets packed quickly, even on a weekday. But they do have an upstairs section and an outdoors section as well. Parking is tight, but valet is only $5. The service is ok. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you. Not super friendly, but polite. This place is expensive but a super cute cafe to hang out or Matt up with friends. We ordered the following: - Margarita Pizza: each slice is quite big and thick. We hot 2 slices, and just shared one. - Avocado Toast: this was delicious. It comes with egg, but we got it without egg. - The Rustic Gathering Board: this is $49 and is a massive charcuterie board. We got the vegetarian one, but they have with meat as well. Order this if you have a group to share. The coffee and chai were delicious. Overall, I loved the ambiance and cafe feel of this place. They have several pastries and breads too. Definitely give it a try. Can't wait to go back and try some of the pastries there.“
“I discovered Fifty West Cafe due to Yelp! Fifty West Cafe is located in the ground floor of an office building. You can enter the cafe directly through a door from the outside - or you enter the building main entrance, enter the lobby, make a right - and follow the hallway to the end... I stopped in this morning for breakfast. I ordered the Deluxe Avocado Burrito. You get to choose a meat for the burrito - I requested both bacon and sausage - they were happy to accommodate! And a bottle of cold water. I paid with Apple Pay. The food came up quickly - within 7 minutes or so. I opted to eat in. There are a small number of tables to eat in - perhaps a dozen or so tables. There are also 3 tables outside on the sidewalk - close to the cafe. Service was good. As I left, all of the staff yelled out to me - thanking me for coming! #FiftyWestCafe“
“I had recently ordered food for my daughter’s Annaprasanna ceremony from @Chat & More ( the veg thali) and we were truly satisfied due to their excellent food and service. My family and guests kept on praising the food quality, taste and quantity served. Each item on the plate comprising : ‘ Shahi Paneer, Samosa, jeera rice, choley, puris, gulab jamun’ were loved by the kids and the adults. Each and every food item was yummy!! Thankuuuuu team for making our special day, truly special. We will keep ordering, visiting and referring you to our friends and family members.“
“The place itself is beautifully comfortable seating, very nice outdoors, and a wide range of hookah flavors to choose from. Whether you're a seasoned hookah smoker or a newcomer, the knowledgeable staff will guide you through the selection process and ensure a memorable experience. The hookahs are of the highest quality, producing thick and flavorful smoke that will make you return for more.“
“Quality food. Good selection of munchies and drinks. Always neat and clean. Owner, counter, and kitchen tean are friendly, courteous, and just nice folks.Parking: Parking can get tight on the cafe side of the building. Go around to the other side for a larger lot or access to the parking garage.Wheelchair accessibility: Level.“
“GREAT little deli tucked back in a business park. You probably would never even know it existed if you didn't work back there. They have all the typical deli offerings that any normal deli would have plus during the weekdays at lunch they have a buffet which works really well if you want a variety. I've only come here once during the lunch rush when it was open but everything that I had was pretty good (lasagna, vegetables, assorted other things). The spicy pork that they have is off the charts good. The buffet is what really sets this place apart from a typical deli which is neat. Their steak and cheese is also awesome.I've had many sandwiches of theirs and they are great, fresh bread, meat and veggies. They aren't stingy with the meat and the bread they use is good.It is very clean inside, and the ladies who work there are very friendly. I once came in with my girlfriend and all we wanted is some drinks and she made an exception on the $5 minimum credit purchase because we didn't have cash.TWO YEARS LATER: Still delicious, still affordable, still clean, and the owners are still super friendly. I love this place, been eating here for probably 20 years now!!!“
“Ok, this is a "First" review of a hidden gem I found in the waiting room of a Honda service centerI ordered the Fried pork belly with fried egg and rice and Korean iced coffee for a non traditional breakfast. Since opening this new cafe, everything I've tried has been first class, made to order, fresh and homemade!! Even the gojujang sauce was homemade. D-E-L-I-S-H!! Or as google translate says "mas-issneun"!!!“
“My wife typically always like getting a tea from Eden center. She'll cycle between this place, tea dm, mr wish and vivi tea. The tea at this place is alright, though I'm not the best judge cause they'll are pretty mediocre to me. That being said the food though was surprisingly good and the price was very amenable. Got it for the first time not too long ago and will definitely be back. For less than $12 you can get a healthy portion of popcorn chicken along with a hearty helping of rice, veggies, and half egg. It's a great lunch and even dinner option. Will definitely be back to try the other menu items.“
“Jazz and Fam is a wonderful small business! We had the privilege of them catering our event. The food was excellent and made with love. Working with them to ensure allergens and dietary needs were met was a breeze. I appreciate their attention to details and professionalism. We look forward to working with them again!Dietary restrictions: They can accommodate allergies, and most of the menu is gluten free.“
“Clifton cafe has a beautiful atmosphere with comfortable seating and tasteful decor. Stephanie was my waitress and you couldn’t tell she only been with the cafe for 2 weeks. She took the utmost care of me. The menu is so great, offering great sandwiches.“
“The exceptional service at Sfizi truly stood out during our visit. The staff members were not only incredibly kind but also enthusiastic about sharing their culture with us. It was heartwarming to see my DC chaperone engage in conversations in Italian with them, and the staff's patience and willingness to teach her new words added a special touch to our experience. The freshly made pasta was a highlight, boasting an amazing taste that was elevated by the heavenly sauce it was paired with. The ambiance at Sfizi successfully transports you to Italy, creating an immersive and authentic dining atmosphere. If you find yourself in this area, visiting Sfizi is an absolute must for a memorable culinary journey that combines outstanding service, delectable food, and a touch of Italian hospitality.“
“Cherokee Cafe is a deli style restaurant that is nestled in an office building on the 1st floor. I work pretty close so I've been dining here for lunch for quite a while, and had an extensive amount of options of food. It's a very hole in the wall atmosphere but hold the charm and the cooks and owners are very very nice. They don't mind explaining the menu and customizing to your needs. The main item I get for breakfast is the sausage, egg, and cheese croissant by far my favorite. As for lunch they have all of you necessary deli sandwiches, but daily feature rotating special that come with fries and a drink which is a price break from getting fries and a drink a la cart. My favorite special they have is the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, and special they run from time to time are the beef or chicken tacos. I love how they butter and grill the tortilla. If you are in the area for breakfast or lunch, and want some hot made to order food quick and fast. Stop in a support this local business.“
“Hidden Gem!!I’m not sure how I missed this place for all these years — when I live just across!Such a great bubble tea place, with soo many options- and the cheese foam is just Fire! Yum!If you haven’t already yet tried them, run!! Don’t walk- because this place is ?“
“Had my car serviced nearby, so walked in without any real expectations- first checking to see if my pup was allowed in (she's small and very well behaved.) She was. Kudos to the staff on the service too! Had the latino breakfast with just egg whites (pup got the queso fresco) and fresh corn tortillas. Very well done, and the plantains were amazing. Super fresh & tasty. I could have eaten those all day. Everything was well presented and prepared. Definitely worth the money. The ambiance was inexpensive dinner hall chic, but the selection was definitely catering to the working crowd. Absolutely worth the time & effort to come here. Love the food & the helpful attitude of the cook/servers. Will happily return next time I'm nearby & hungry.“
“Best latte in Burke 10/10. This morning, I accidentally ordered a latte before the café opened. When I realized my mistake, I had to rush to my doctor's appointment and couldn't pick up the drink. I called to explain, and although it had already been made, I couldn't retrieve it until after my appointment. However, when I returned later, the kind girl behind the counter (didn't catch her name) kindly remade the latte for free. I'm grateful for her understanding and generosity. Thank you!“
