“This place is the ultimate sleeper. Came in sweatin a little bit because of the lack of asian representation in the building. Came out egregiously full and happy as can be. The man that runs this establishment was beyond kind and his granddaughter who served us was respectfully and also kind. On top of the excellent service, the food is what truly hit the spot. The pho was some of the best I have ever had. The broth was flavorful to the point no condiments or extras were required. You can shower in that stuff. The chef was generous with the meat and he filled our bowls to the brim. Pupusas also went stupid. Crazy concept to have Salvadorian and Vietnamese fusion but it works. At the end of the day, I satisfied two deep cravings of a gnarly pupusa and some refreshing pho. Absolute sleeper. Had to get rolled out the restaurant because I gained a solid 30lbs from our exceptional meal.“
“Dropped in after a massage next door. I was looking for a light meal. I ordered the ThomKa soup, with shrimp and the Kanom Jeab steamed dumplings. Both were delicious. The soup had a nice touch if spice. The dumplings came with a light dipping sauce. I'll be back“

“Love this place! I come in all the time and get the fried rice, but the curry and pad thai are also excellent.Vegetarian options: Not every dish on the menu can be served without meat, but many can! Tofu is an option for lots of the dishes that would normally have meat, and many of the curries don't have meat either.“

My family and I shared the Bún bò Huế (spicy noodles), hoành thánh chiên (fried wontons), Gà xào húng quế (Thai basil chicken), and Bánh hỏi đặc biệt (Vermicelli platter). The food was so good, my favorite was the Bánh hỏi đặc biệt. The owner went around to every table and checked up on everybody and our waters were being refilled constantly. Everyone was really nice. They don't typically do anything special for birthdays, but the owner gave me a free mango sticky rice!! Even after we paid and started to leave, the owner came out to us and recommended the ice cream place next door. I really appreciate family businesses and loved to see that traditional foods are still very accessible to people with dietary restrictions. “We were craving spicy noodles and this place didn't disappoint. The Chongqing noodles were spicy and full of peanuts, the cold noodles my colleague ordered were full of vegetables. We also tried the spicy pork soup dumplings and the normal pork soup dumplings and both were great. I especially loved the chili oil on the table.“

In spite of my good intentions, I couldn’t finish it all! I can hear my mother in the background berating me about the starving kids in Biafra, etc. Hey! I’m 70 years old and still hear that. We had the summer rolls and the sausage rolls for appetizers. They were very good as expected. My wife had grilled chicken over rice and lots of fresh veggies to mix in as desired. “We have a go to Thai restaurant in Burke but I thought we'd look for another that might be better. This place was a pleasant surprise. Ordered vegetable soup, ginger fanatic, and pad Thai. The soup was just right. The veggies were crisp and soup was not loaded with sodium. The soup was enough for 2 people. The ginger fanatic with shrimp and brown rice was excellent The sauce was light so you could taste shrimp and crisp vegetables. Maybe they could add a little more broccoli. Ginger was the right amount. A little bite to the flavor. The pad Thai was light and not too heavy. Again, right amount of sauce. The serving size was enough for 2 people. I had an urgent work situation and was on my phone, went up to pay, and left. I had a freak-out moment and drove back to ask if I'd left my wallet in the restaurant, and they bent over backwards to try to help me find it. The restaurant was quite empty except for one or two tables that were occupied. It didn't give me a great feeling, but it was a week night so I gave them the benefit of the doubt.
