“I’m willing to bet that 5T Ice is one of those local gems that you might not be checking out enough. Don’t let the name fool you - this is place is FAR more than frozen yogurt, delicious bubble teas and coffees. I’ve been during the week and ALWAYS have to get the house special Banh Mi, but on weekends it’s basically like Christmas for your mouth. They have all of these homemade Vietnamese specialties and if you can’t decide, I strongly recommend the scorched-earth approach I used and just get everything you carry out of there.“

Right when I walked in the door I was greeted with a huge smile. He was very polite and nice. You can tell he cares a lot about his job. I wish all Cold Stones had service like this . ?“

“I know for the same price I can get my own pint of Haagen Dazs. But it’s one of the few treats I really let myself indulge in. I come here after a big accomplishment at work or need a pick-me-up. I get the chocolate cone with sprinkled peanuts and two scoops of coffee ice-cream - and it’s the best. Nothing hits the spot quite like it. Staff are super friendly. From time to time I may try another flavor. The coffee chip is good too. But I usually revert back. Moments of happiness seem priceless.“

“Took my kiddo there last night and as soon as we tried it, we knew this is our new favorite local ice cream! Absolutely delicious, perfectly creamy and not too sweet. And then, the cherry on top: we ordered two more cups to take home to the rest of the family and we noticed that one came out with a much smaller scoop than the other. Wasn’t going to say anything about it (the scoops are very generous to begin with), but then out of nowhere a couple comes over and tells us they are going to get us an extra scoop. And within seconds, they did! We were too shocked to talk with them more but a little sleuthing online when we got home revealed they were the owners! This act of generosity and customer service made a big impact on my kiddo (and me) and cemented this place as our new favorite! Can’t wait to go back!!“

Edit- from 5 stars to 2. As it is with most new places, over time this location has gone down in customer service. Barely a hello or nothing at all when you walk in, almost like they are irritated you are there. The cookies are nasty and undercooked as of late.“

“My wife and I stopped by here - had last ordered during COVID several years ago - an unhappy experience - who didn’t have challenges back then, when just staying open took hero effort?
We thought it time to check them out and went in. Unusual was what effectively was a hybrid store, serving a southwest Asian flavor influenced pallet of ice cream flavors seen first. For the uninitiated, we happily partook of the offered samples. A second freezer, and with its own board, had a good selection of standard flavors. We liked the flavors we tried, from both freezers, enough so we ordered two hand-packed quarts before we left. Still challenging to keep a business open - especially one that survives on frozen treats, through the winter. They do have a good line of ice cream, certainly on par with Baskin Robins, and they want to have happy customers. We are, and expect to return.“

“I was initially hesitant to try this place due to the mixed reviews. However, after noticing the crowd outside a few times, we finally decided to give it a shot. We ordered their seasonal ones - campfire s’mores and blueberry cobbler, and both were excellent. The campfire s’mores was a delightful blend of rich flavours. I’m definitely tempted to return and explore more of their flavors.“

“My husband worked at a Baskin Robbin’s as a teen in San Joaquin Valley in California decades ago. He loves coming to this store in Reston, it brings back fond memories of ice cream on a hot summer day. This store is small but has a nice variety and the servers are always helpful.“

“This is by far the best meal I’ve had in the DMV area!! The restaurant is a cute, intimate spot that makes you feel like you’re a guest at someone’s home. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Our meal was heavenly, I got the panko breaded chicken with angel hair (I typically order seafood out and this exceeded my expectations by a mile). My boyfriend got the strip steak which was so flavorful and cooked perfectly. The green beans with it were even amazing! We didn’t have room, but we got the white chocolate apple bread pudding because it sounded too good…was as great as the rest of the meal! This will definitely be our new go to spot and it was extremely affordable! I couldn’t believe the menu prices and more so now that I know the amazing quality this spot offers!! Can’t wait to try brunch!“

“Rita’s is always a treat! The Italian ice is so fresh and flavorful! You can really taste the difference compared to other places. I love that they have such a wide variety of flavors, and they’re always adding fun seasonal options too. The staff here are friendly and patient, even when the line gets long. Everything is super clean and well-kept. I definitely recommend getting a Gelati (ice + custard) it’s the best of both worlds! Perfect place for a quick dessert stop, especially on a hot day.“

“I recently visited Cafe Bdan in Centreville. The location is conveniently located next to Hmart. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, perfect for either a relaxed solo visit or catching up with friends.
I tried their patbingsu and vegetable crepes, and it was delicious! Additionally their coffee taste good as well.“

“This DD store is pretty new to the area and I wanted to check it out and visited this place yesterday. The store was clean and the donuts, bagels and other items were arranged neatly and was clearly visible to the customers. The order was taken and prepared well. There were no ice cream cakes on the freezer. Overall a good place to grab n go.“

“Lots of variety! Located in a relatively new shopping center next to the Dulles Convention Center. There’s not a whole lot of space to eat outside or inside, so you have to get your treats and go. Good for rewarding yourself after a hard day of shopping.“

“Baskin-Robbins was great. We've been here a few times before. Last night was a great experience. The two people working were very friendly and helpful. The ice cream was amazing! I had a Brownie Sundae that was one of the best, if not the best I've ever had. We sat in the car to eat because it is still too cold outside, but there were clean tables inside and out. “100% recommended. Came here one hour before they closed because my friend wanted to try the Blended Milo, since no place seems to have the exact one in Vietnam. I got myself the egg cream milk tea. It turned out that they both tasted EXACTLY the same as the type of boba we had in Vietnam. We’ve been coming back every single week ever since then. Very sad to see that they’re pretty slow at night. Hope to see more and more people coming to support this small boba shop ?“
