“This is my favorite ice cream store in the whole wide world. You can find gelato that’s equally good in some places in Italy but not everywhere, and even then it’s not better than this. Strawberry, golden kiwi, blood orange, mojito, ginger and tumeric, black tea, melons are all our favorites. Each tastes like the best version of the real fruit or food, incredibly smooth, velvety, never sugary sweet, very refreshing and natural. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the loving care of the process. It’s never piled high in the open, and they’ll give tasting to whatever you want to try so you’ll never regret what you order. I use to think they are priced a bit high but now I just feel very lucky to be able to have this any day that I want and not have to take a flight to Italy, so this place is very reasonable.“

“I come to this location a lot and really love the cookies. The problem that I have encountered more than a couple of times is when a cookie is sold out there is no signage communicating that. So you come in, order at the kiosk, and while waiting for the order you are hit with “we are sold out! Would you like another cookie or a refund” Wouldn’t it be more efficient to write on a piece of paper that you are sold of something so that customers entering the store know? Or have it on the screen somewhere?

Update: they have finally fixed this issue and now when something is sold out it will show in the screen.“

The waffle tasted incredibly fresh, and the pistachio kunafa flavor had the perfect crunch without being overly sweet—really well balanced. The hazelnut ice cream was rich and delicious as well.

Portion-wise, I do feel the second scoop could be slightly more generous for the price, but the quality definitely makes up for it.

I usually can’t finish desserts, but this one was so good I ate the entire thing. Would absolutely come back again!“

And then, the cherry on top: we ordered two more cups to take home to the rest of the family and we noticed that one came out with a much smaller scoop than the other. Wasn’t going to say anything about it (the scoops are very generous to begin with), but then out of nowhere a couple comes over and tells us they are going to get us an extra scoop. And within seconds, they did! We were too shocked to talk with them more but a little sleuthing online when we got home revealed they were the owners! “Haagen-Dazs is probably one of the most expensive ice cream places that I have been to, almost $8-$9 after tax. However, what makes them stand out from other ice cream stores is that they don’t use artificial ingredients, and their ice cream is a bit bold and dense compared to other ice cream brands. I really like their Belgian chocolate, because of the creaminess, richness of the chocolate.

I would say the service is great even though there is usually a big crowd waiting for their ice cream, especially when it gets closer to closing time. However, regarding the atmosphere, it feels a little cramped to be eating ice cream, especially with such limited seating. The staff aren’t the friendliest and gave a bit of an attitude when I asked about nuts, with no clear answer, but it panned out because the ice cream actually didn’t have nuts.

Vegetarian options: Not clear on vegan options.

“Open till 11pm on Friday night. You might miss it cos it's the last establishment and kind of hidden behind the entrance to the movie theatre and parking garages. Their flavors are very unique. The cranberry goat cheese was so delicious!
They are pricey as I cream shops go but reasonable considering the location. They serve half scoops and it's around $8 for essentially 1 scoop (2 halves so you can taste more of those flavors is their excuse :-D). It is a must try in my book. They will validate your parking ticket for the garage so don't forget to give them your ticket.
They get my highest rating for being open after every other ice cream shop for miles is closed and for their very unique flavors. Service is also quick and friendly. I didn't see any limits on the number of samples you could try. Some places are getting picky about that of late.
The complex it is in seems to have some nice restaurants and bars and seems like a nice place to hangout and catch a movie even. So you could make an occasion out of a trip to this I cream shop that is more than just about ice cream.“
