“We came and stayed in Arlington to attend an event in DC. My daughter loved the authentic. Mexican food so much we came back the next day. The first day we ordered carryoout and then the next day we dined in. The service was friendly but not attentive enough to us, for it to be only one other table seated. After sitting a lil while, finished with what I had, I did have to ask for someone to come over to help us, with an additional order, after our waitress got off. They were nice, but you just never know, who can be reviewing you these days. The food, service and atmosphere all gets rated. Not bad enough to keep us from coming back. “On 12/4/25 my wife and I visited Anita's for lunch. It was not our first visit, but it dawned on us during this visit that this restaurant had many of the features which we were looking for for a large family gathering on 12/10/25 following an outdoor funeral/burial in Fairfax: a separable part of the restaurant for 30-40 attendees, a large immediately adjacent parking lot, a location already familiar to many of the attendees, an in-house bar, an expandable staff to service our group, an ability for attendees to order from Anita's regular menu and reasonable prices. Our recommendation to choose Anita's was accepted by leaders of our group, our choice was papered with Anita's catering staff and notices of the selection with address and directions were prepared for our group. Our burial ceremony was reduced in length due to the cold weather so that we set out for Antia's earlier than planned. We alerted Anita's of our early arrival. Everything went exceedingly well. Our sporadically arriving group was seated, menus distributed, drink and then food orders were taken and food started to come out of the kitchen. More than adequate supplemental staff had been arranged to serve us by Anita's. Payment arrangements were quickly made with Anita's and, under the circumstances, everyone appeared to have had a memorable visit. I apologize for the length and detail of this review, but I thought that the background of our visit to this remarkable restaurant would better put into context the circumstances of our visit and our appreciation and thanks to Anita's for its handling of the situation.“

My husband is from the area and the owners literally watched him and his friends grow up, and every time we come in he asks us about our family and how we’re doing - it’s just so wonderful! Very rare to have such connections these days and that’s part of the charm!

The kitchen is immaculate too! I was a restaurant manager and have seen some things but you can clearly see that they are well above standards!

You truly cannot beat the service, the price is spot on, and it’s just a neighborhood staple. In a world of curbside and delivery, Tippys is just this nice place where you can see a friend and eat good food.

“The service is fantastic, order is taken by the sweetest lady ever who brings a smile to my face every time. From the time I had the tacos, I came back every single day for lunch because they were so good, and only recently lowered the frequency solely for the purpose of my self imposed budget and diet. I crave this place constantly and it's so good - love all of their tacos, and their soups are consistently good.

“The best hidden gems always have the best food, and this spot proves it! Great prices, chill atmosphere, and super friendly service. The food was so flavorful—fish tacos are a must and the margaritas hit just right.

We tried a few other menu items and everything was on point. Honestly, I almost don’t want to share this place because it feels like such a secret, but they deserve the love. I’ll definitely be back soon… and bringing friends!
