“We stopped by the other night and so glad we did! Everything was fresh and very tasty! It's the ONLY place I can find that makes Sope's and it was so good with the Chorizo Chicken! Everyone else tried the tacos: fish, shrimp, carne asada and Chorizo Chicken and they were really good and fresh as well! The chorizo rice and Chorizo beans were very tasty! My son had the Horchata to drink and my husband tried the pineapple mango and he liked it as well! We will definitely be back for tacos and my sopes again soon!“
“Iztac exican Cantina truly exceeded my expectations! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a vibrant atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious, bursting with authentic Mexican flavors that transported me straight to Mexico City. Each dish was expertly prepared with fresh ingredients, and the presentation was impeccable. The margaritas were top-notch, perfectly balanced and refreshing. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, making excellent recommendations. Overall, Iztac Mexican Cantina is a gem of a restaurant that I can't wait to visit again. Five stars all the way!“
“I'll leave the same review for both locations since they are both EXCELLENT!One is on Caroline Street right downtown and the second is on William St (right across from Freddy Donuts which is also awesomeness!)Both spots are little hole-in-the-wall restaurants which are generally my favorite. They both have indoor seating, seasonal outdoor seating, and a full bar.ANY spot that serves Mexican fare has to start with chips and salsa on the table and they do! Solid salsa too!Now the soup: Tried the tortilla soup. DELICIOUS!The Tacos: You get TWO per order. I messed up the first visit and got WAY too many. They have a choice of flour or corn tortillas. I have not tried the corn option but the flour is big enough that two tacos will FILL you up!The Rice and Beans: I need to figure out how to make pinto beans the way they do. They serve a lot of their platters with a side of rice and beans. These are not smashed beans, these are delicious, homemade pintos. The beans and rice are seasoned perfectly and come out HOT!The Burritos: Seasoning is great! Like on POINT! Not the most gargantuan I have ever had but they are PACKED with fresh ingredients and the flavor is fantastic. The servers are attentive as well.We will be back for sure!“
“Loved it! The food, service, and company were wonderful after a very long week. Great place to sit, and have a conversation over delightful food. My dessert was a pineapple ? margarita with a friend after work. Wonderful conclusion for our week.“
“The food is excellent there is a slight language barrier but nothing impossible and it's worth the minor inconvenience for great food the tortas are amazing!I'm a motorcycle cop and it's one of my favorite places for authentic Mexican, keep up the great work!“
“Have been wanting to try here for quite some time and finally got the chance during restaurant week!Went with two friends and we all enjoyed. Margarita flights were great! Nice flavor options to try. We each got something different for food and all enjoyed. The guacamole appetizer was great and huge. The flan dessert was super tasty!! Service was wonderful, attentive and nice. Inside was clean, well lit and nicely put together. Can't wait to go back.“
“This restaurant always has great food, and VERY generous portions. They have very fair pricing, so you won't break the bank to get authentic cuisine. Comfortable atmosphere for dine in, also.Parking: Lots of parking right outside the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: Great family friendly restaurant.“
“Love Mi Rancho Authentic Mexican Food! We dined today for the last time (for a while), my husband is retiring and we are moving out of state. We have been eating here since they opened 3 years ago. Happy 3d anniversary amigas and amigos! This place was definitely one of our favorites! Service is awesome, food is fresh & from scratch, the drinks are delicioso and the price is excelente! Tonight when they told us "see you tomorrow!" we sadly told them we were moving out of state. The manager asked us if we had eaten dessert and we said no we're stuffed! We're always stuffed when we eat here! He then asked us to sit tight for a moment and returned with a generous piece of Tres leches cake to take home as a thank you for being loyal customers and to wish us a happy retirement! Go eat at Mi Rancho! You will not be disappointed! Prometo!“
“Tacos the way tacos are supposed to be. Walk into the market and look to the right of the registers. There’s a large seating area where you can dine in. Have a seat and be patient someone will come to take your order. Tacos were amazing and the pupasas were huge and handmade as they should be. Everyone needs to come here!“
“Wasn't as good as I had been told. One of the servers was arguing with another server. She was swore at him as he walked away. While it was in Spanish, I understood. Guess they thought we didn't speak or understand Spanish. Did go grab a beer at the bar before leaving. The atmosphere was rocking there!Probably won't return for food.“
“We have really enjoyed the food here and whatever we order has been delicious. Recently we ordered a to go order and a couple item were wrong. The manager Ruth had them fix our order for when we came back and gave us a gift card. Wonderful service and amazing food.“
“This is a hidden gem in Fredericksburg, as the food was amazing. I got the mi casa sampler since it offered a bit of everything. The side of Yucca tasted fresh and homemade. They also offer a happy hour 3-6 and I even got myself an Pina colada. I highly recommend this place due to its high quality food and great prices!“
“The most amazing and authentic Mexican tacos and tortas my family and I have ever had in the Fredericksburg Area!! ?????❤️ Gabriel, Daniel and Dalia have amazing customer service and do an incredible job at serving quality food with quality ingredients, everything they offer is authentic, fresh and delicious. Hours are great and prices are extremely reasonable. Highly recommended ? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Pa' Tacos El Papi food truck, if you follow them on Instagram they give you a free taco?“
“we were there with a big party (>20 people) and although they were a bit late to give us our table (about 30mins past the reservation time), it is quite understandable and their food and service more than made up for the wait.A great place with great food and great staff. no complain at all.“
“I have to say I was thinking it's just another hole in the wall place, but it's geniunely great mexican food. We've enjoyed the brisket tacos, shrimp salad, and few other items that were just wonderful. The flavors are great and the ingrediants are very fresh. This has become our goto place when craving a great taco or such.“
“Fue buena la experiencia para mi familia y para mi ? la verdad un lugar muy acogedor en todos los aspectos, el servicio la comida ????todo muy bien, se los recomiendo si tienen la oportunidad de visitar este lugar quedarán más que satisfechos ??“
“Great Mexican food for a great price. The flavors of every dish I've tried here are incredibly abundant. The waitress I've had every time I've gone has always been very on top of things and is always very nice. All in all. 10-10 “
“OVERALL: hidden gem with authentic and delicious food!! FOOD: we came across this restaurant because we were looking for latin food. We got 3 pupusas (revueltas which is a mixture of pork and cheese I believe, and loroco which is a plant and cheese) and the grilled shrimp platter. Great portions. I also had the horchata. It was non traditional in that I could taste a hot chocolate mixture but it was still good. SERVICE: you order and pay at the cashier then seat yourself. Plastic utensils are off to the side by the wall but you can request proper silverware. We were attended to quickly. VENUE: the restaurant is pretty big with ample seating for different group sizes. It's decorated with beautiful latin American arrangements. It's a mom and pop business it seems with more of a diner atmosphere which makes it homey.“
“Love this place. Always cheap and good. Where else in the area can you leave for $50 with dinner and drinks for two? Two times we have had the sweetest server too. I tried to catch her name the last time we were in. Sounded like "sigh-el" (sorry for butchering the name). Younger girl with glasses. Thank you Pancho Villa and to our great server!“
“I had the pleasure of bringing my high school students for their first visit, and it proved to be an exceptional experience. The cuisine surpassed all expectations, and the service was impeccable. My students were thoroughly impressed, declaring the restaurant a resounding success. Furthermore, the staff exhibited incredible professionalism, politeness, and warmth. I will definitely bring my classes and recommend this restaurant to other people. Thank you for make it so pleasant!“
“Pretty typical Taco Bell. My Niece Dawn use to work there. Whenever I'm in town I stop by for something. Lately it's double decker taco supremes, they bring back memories of my Aunt. Really good and wish it was a permanent menu item.“
“The service was really friendly and quick. The place is fun and kid friendly vibe like your typical Mexican restaurant. The food is where it fell short for us compared to other local spots. The salsa tasted like jar salsa and the queso also was basic. I give the birria tacos a 3/5! They were good but I’ve had better. The enchiladas were extremely bland and flavorless. The rice however was delicious!! The margaritas were also pretty decent. Their house hot sauce was bomb!!! Overall it was a good spot but there’s so many other great Mexican places in the area that I think raises the bar even higher.“
