“Looking for a fun activity with our family before Thanksgiving, we chose bowling. The prices were definitely cheaper than commercial locations. The place was clean with stations every few lanes with balls organized by color and weight. There were ramps available for anyone to use if necessary. There is also the ability to set bumpers to raise and lower for an individual in your group. You have the ability to edit your score, which is great because a few times pins would fall on their own and add to the score. There were options for scoring using regular bowling rules or other fun games. While we didn’t eat there, but there were plenty of food and drink selections. My only issue was the balls were very oily and the finger holes were very small. Staff said that’s how they were ordered but offered me a small container of baby powder to use.“

“This place is a true local gem. Food is of very high quality, and everything is consistently cooked to perfection. Their consistency is actually really impressive - I’ve never been disappointed by a single thing, and I’ve eaten A LOT of their food. But everything is so good, so I haven’t really made my way outside of the same few items from their menu. The difference is that the staff actually care about their customers, and take pride in their food. It’s not so common these days, and is a pleasant surprise. It’s the reason I will always eat there.“

local favorite, this feels like it needs a Michelin star but it has the prices of a mom and pop restaurant. Everything from the appetizers, entrees, drinks, and desserts make it a place I’ll go out of my way to come back to when visiting.“

“One of those neighborhood gems that punches way above its weight class. It deserves to be a lot more consistently packed with diners and bar customers for the quality of food and drink.

It's not an Instagram trap and located in a modest shopping center where the anchors are a Home Depot, post office, and animal hospital, so IYKYK. My only request is they bring their roast duck entree back to the menu, that was my go-to and so delicious.“

“I truly can’t be more appreciative of Jay for going above and beyond for us! He came into work early to make what was probably the most delicious cheesecake my co-workers and I have ever tasted. It was absolutely perfect and made our birthday/good-bye/happy retirement celebration that much more special.

Not only was the cheesecake incredible, but the customer service was above and beyond in every way. Jay’s kindness, professionalism, and willingness to accommodate our request meant so much. You can tell he genuinely cares about his customers and takes pride in what he does.

Also, kid friendly with adorable sippy cups and a kids menu and everything in between(high chairs, changing tables in the restrooms etc). Absolutely worth every cent! Vaulx was our waitress and she was attentive, cheerful and always had a smile on her face. I might be bias but I would recommend requesting her as your waitress and you won't be disappointed! “My husband and I had dinner on a quiet Wednesday evening. We shared guacamole which was very good with some unusual little additions. My husband had the beef steak and loved it. Again unusual ingredients made the dish very delicious. I had the pork which I had enjoyed a year ago and again I loved it! The service was very attentive. The chef came out so we could tell her in person how much we loved it all!“

Sooooo great!!!!! Has only improved since we had to move. New setup is incredible and drinks have surpassed the original menus leaps and bounds! GO HERE!

Sets the bar by which we measure all cocktails. Never disappointed, each menu always multiple amazing options. I can count on my hands the number of times i have got a cocktail someplace else and NOT been totally disappointed in comparison.

Ambience is brilliant, lively but not too loyd. Brilliant date night. Service is always wonderful and light bites are incredible.

“Honestly, this was the best service I’ve ever received! Our server/waiter was Nick and he truly made our day. So much so that we decided to leave him a substantial tip. Nick is very social aware, knowledgeable about their restaurant and items, and he thouroghly explains the highlights of their menu and a brief history of their establishment. He regularly checked in during our dinner but what really sets him apart is his high charismatic and warming energy. This was not only for our table but the surrounding tables as well. Extremely respectful and kind, and a prior service member !

“We have dined at the restaurant several times over the years. Before our experience this visit, I had read some negative reviews regarding service, food quality and cleanliness. I have to say that we found everything wonderful. We had reservations but arrived much earlier than expected to the restaurant. The Hostess was very accommodating and found an open table right away in the room with the Bar. (I would have enjoyed a table in one of the dining rooms better, which might have been the case had we stuck with our original reservation but we couldn't be picky since the Hostess was kind enough to provide us with an earlier lunch !) The food was delicious, served in a prompt time. Our waiter, Zach, was attentive and very pleasant. Even the servers who brought the food from the kitchen to our table were so nice ! My message in this review is "don't base your possible experience on the negative reviews" !!!“

“My girlfriend and I had the same cocktail which was very tasty and the 1st on menu. We ordered the tots and got something very different than expected that she could not have and i thought was fair at best. However our entrees were great. I had a very tasty steak in a good salad and her burger was modified to her liking with a little input from staff. We sat at the bar and service was good despite it being one persons first shift there. Will go back and order off the great wine selection!!!“

These are not complaints, but things I would adjust: salad dressing was a little tart, Firebirds chardonnay was on the sweet side... ok this is actually a complaint - the beer list is severely lacking for a place with $60 entrees (it's basic, boring, and on-par with big chain restaurants). That said, our server was fantastic. In addition to her professionalism, she brought us another round of drinks (the non-alcoholic ones) without asking. I don't know if that's standard procedure for Firebirds or just her attentiveness, but those little things go a long way. The food was excellent, too!“

“This was my first visit to Kiln and won't be my last. It's walking distance from my church so a very convenient location for Sunday brunch. I was surprised at how quiet it was. The ambience is nice. The hostess and servers were very friendly. I had french toast and my husband had the lemon ricotta pancakes. The portions were filling but not excessive. I had one of the best oat milk lattes I've had in a long time so needed to order a second one to go. The menu isn't very big but we liked what we had.“

“First time back since renovations and wow what a story this place is. It started with the chicken & waffles. The meat was really pink and hard to bite into so I decided to do french toast instead. (Minus the almond cookies.) and it was delicious but it was soft as butter so I had to request a spoon 😮 On top of that, the bartender complimented not only my neurodivergent tattoos 🏳️‍🌈♾️ but also gave me a free mocktail. Though I will warn you it’s real strong. I tasted mostly lemon but it had a hint of maple and tea. Which is ironic because strong taste is why I prefer tea over coffee (if I had to pick between the two). Regardless, these people deserve some love especially in the economic crises we have.“

“We wanted to try something new. I came fro brunch, but when we were seated the brunch menu was not provided. The waiter took a while so my husband had to get up and get the brunch menus. I asked about the cocktail towers, what he explained was not what I saw later on for other patrons. Had he explained it better my husband and I would've ordered one. Once we finally placed our order the waiters follow up was very poor. We finished our food and the plates were never cleared from the table. Then had to ask go the check and a box for my son's leftovers. The customer service needs some work or the waiters have too many tables I'm not really sure what the issue was.“

“Excellent evening at the Woodbridge, VA NYAJs yesterday! We were greeted by the manager Usy( I’m not good at names) who was working on clearing tables. We had a couple minute wait for our outside table. There were 3 of us and we ordered drinks and appetizers to share. Desi was our server. She was attentive and cheerful (not annoyingly so). The Bang Bang Shrimp, Potstickers and my favorite Ahi Tuna Wontons were wonderful! Cocktails as well! We all had been regulars up to about 18 months ago as the service was atrocious. So glad NYAJ is back. This is my 2nd visit in a month. Will be back soon. Kudos to the new manager and staff. Keep it up!“

“I visited the Nordstrom Cafe in Virginia and had a great experience. The food was really good and everything was delicious. The quality and flavor were on point, and the overall atmosphere was nice and relaxing. It was a great place to sit down and enjoy a meal. I would definitely come back and recommend it to others.“
