“Port Arthurs is my favorite Chinese Restaurant. I love the fact that they are locally owned and have been here for as long as I can remember . They are a staple in Newport News and never disappoint. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The food is delicious and menu is extensive. Y’all, it’s that’s good! .“

“If you're tired of disappointing Chinese food that leaves you feeling guilty and slightly queasy, do yourself a favor and check this place out. Your taste buds (and probably your stomach) will thank you. Trust me, it's a game-changer!“

“The best customer service I have ever had from a Chinese restaurant. I ordered the sesame chicken combo and the general tso chef special. The rice tasted as if it had been cooked a couple of hours before I arrived but it was still edible. The saving grace for the food was the meat. The meat for both the combos were tasteful and pleasing to my buds. Enough for me to say, I will be trying this place again and hopefully the rice will be different this time.“

“Best shrimp shumai that I've had, I love the little pieces of shrimp in each bite. The waitress was very attentive. I appreciate that she heard a little cough from me, she came to check if my ramen was too spicy? It wasn't, I was just being greedy lol. Definitely will return. All my food was very flavorful and had the perfect temperature. My new favorite spot for some good Ramen ??“

“In these post-covid times of it being virtually impossible to eat out for less than $15 First Wok is an exception to the seemingly new rule. The lunch and dinner combos gotta be one of the best bang-for-your-bucks in the area. You’re telling me I can get a beef and broccoli, pork fried rice, and an egg roll for $10.25 (dinner combo)???? Boneless spare ribs, vegetable fried rice, and wonton soup for $8.25 (lunch combo)??? That’s insane value.
Additionally, who would have thought that a Chinese restaurant would become my go to chicken wing spot? Wings have become exorbitantly expensive everywhere but again, First Wok remains the exception. Their garlic sauce wings are SO GOOD. I spooned the leftover sauce into my gullet like an animal. Don’t get started on the chicken wing combos either… 8 wings + chicken fried rice for $10.55 is a steal.“

“Believe the hype!I don’t write reviews unless the food quality is actually great. This is the freshest Chinese food I’ve had in this area, it’s exactly the nostalgic kind of Chinese food I’ve been craving and can’t find anywhere else. The serving size was perfect for the price. With the inflation you can’t expect to feed a family of four with $20 so it’s unrealistic for people to ask of that. However if it’s an occasional treat this is perfect! The location is great, and the building is what you’d expect out of a traditional take out place. People are rude with their reviews because they expect something this place isn’t.The egg rolls that everyone loves to complain about in the reviews are actually a very specific type of egg roll that their uncultured behind probably aren’t aware of.“

“I love how Hong Kong has been keeping Lee Hall happy and well fed for decades. Their service is cheerful and prompt. This is what east coast Chinese food tastes like to me.
The parking lot feels empty without the grocery store, but there's plenty of places to park. Park on the curb if you want to save a few steps.“

“When all the Chinese restaurants closed because of ignorant people claiming that Chinese were the cause of Covid19, and did not want to eat their food. I promised that the first Chinese restaurant I could find open I was going to get myself some Chinese food. Well they were the only one open. I was more than happy to order from Super China. The food is always good. The service is good as well. I have never ordered anything that wasn't up to par.“

“We go here about once a month, primarily because they’re the only buffet in town. They used to put $3 off coupons in the Val Pak, but stopped recently for whatever reason. While the food is good, it’s predictable (they pretty much always have the same items) and if you show up before dinner you’re typically getting older food that’s sat there since lunchtime. Also their prices have gone up considerably since we started going, almost double what we used to pay. There’s a large seafood selection which is mostly unappealing to me, and I love seafood, I just don’t care for crawfish, stuffed crab or mussels. There’s been better buffets in town but sadly they’re all gone now. So, if you’re going, go during lunch or after 5, maybe steer clear of the seafood, and don’t get your hopes up that this will be your new favorite spot.“

“I ordered a family meal. The general tso chicken was very good, enjoyed the heat and it wasn’t overly salty. I liked that there was a choice of rice! The hibachi was delicious, vegetables fresh, crisp and the meat tender. The chicken soba noodles were excellent with a nice ratio of meat and noodles but a little salty. The last item in the family meal was egg rolls. They were crispy but not a fan of the mushy inside. That won’t stop me from ordering their food again. I’m a fan!“

“I tried Top China restaurant today for the first time and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. I am a very picky person when it comes to Chinese cuisine. As a New York transplant, decent Chinese food is hard to come by locally. I ordered the General Tso chicken with pork fried rice combo and it was not bad at all. I also ordered the fried dumplings, and they were okay. Not the best I’ve had, but not horrible. I think I will order again from here.“

“This place always does an amazing job. They are fast and reliable for my family and I. They also never complain about making new items if the are out of something. From top to bottom the staff doing a great. Veysel and Theo specifically helped my family and I.“
“By far the best Chinese food in Poquoson. This is your typical no frills Chinese restaurant, not really a place to sit down but great for some reasonably priced takeout. I'm pretty set in my menu selections, so I recommend the fried rice and lo mein. I especially love the chicken fried rice, it's just fantastic. Overall, a good joint with good flavor and value.“

“I've been going there for years. I typically only buy Beef and Broccoli, Garlic Chicken, or Hot and Spicy Chicken. The veggies are always cooked well (aren't overcooked or old and wilted), and the sauce isn't light and not thick, oily, and gravy like. This is my favorite strip mall Chinese food place out of them all in the Hampton Roads area, and I've eaten at dozens over the decades....I also seen negative comments about the lady behind the counter. While she's not talkative and hospitable, she's not rude, unpleasant, or unprofessional in my experience and watching her interactions with others. She takes your order and hands it to you just without all the extra fakeness that some want and need while at restaurants. She's never given me a reason to think I'll of her.Prices are respectable, and have only gone up $2 +/- from their pre Covid pricing. That's not bad especially when taking into consideration that the cost of food, supplies, utilities, rent, and other overhead cost has risen substantially!
Parking: Depending on the time of day, parking can be limited; however, there's usually a place to park.“

“My dinner was great! It was fresh and ready when I arrived. I ordered Shrimp and Broccoli and my daughter ordered Chicken Lomein.. The flavor was good and the young lady working there was very nice. I have not been to this location in years since moving and happened to order at the wrong Hong Kong and it was this one! I would recommend and we will be going to this one from now on“
