“My son and I were well taken care of during our visit for an early lunch today! I apologize, but I didn't catch the food service attendant's name. She was very friendly, attentive, professional, and worked clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our menu selection, rotisserie chicken with Monterey Cheddar, bacon, and peppercorn ranch.“

“Drive past it only a daily, seen for all the years I can remember, but had never been. Wish I would have started going sooner. Got a delicious steak sub, and a club car. Would definitely recommend the secret sauce. Look forward to going again.“

“Ordered Olivia’s old south sandwich with wheat bread my side was the grape salad! All of it was so delicious! Bread was soft and beautifully toasted and sweet. Came with a pickle and a packaged cookie as well. You have the option to choose a scoop of chicken salad on a sandwich, salad or just the scoop with crackers. Can’t wait to come back and purchase their salads and sides they have packaged. Staff was professional and polite. Establishment was very clean. Was there around 2 on a Wednesday and wasn’t overwhelmed with people. If you love chicken salads highly suggest you give this a try and explore their different takes on chicken salad.“

“The greatest culinary mystery of Hampton Roads is how Taste makes their multi-grain bread taste so good! Plenty of crunchy crust, pillowy soft interior, thick enough to where it holds up the sandwich ingredients, but not too thick to where it overwhelms the other ingredients. My go to's are the Beach Club (roast beef instead of ham) and the Northender (Swiss cheese instead of Havarti and house dressing instead of basil mayo). Don't skip on the house or hot house dressings. The bottles aren't cheap, but it's the chef's kiss to these sandwiches. And major props for having Dr Brown's soda and Route 11 chips! Parking is usually a challenge, so if you get a spot on the street, count your blessings. Plenty of seating and there's also a lot of grab and go options as well.“

“Why isn't anyone driving through this place ordering sandwiches!!! This is the only place that actually bakes fresh bread and does not have that horrible chemical in their bread like Subway. I can actually eat the white bread without my glucose spiking and feeling sick. I'm only talking about the bread...well the sandwiches are phenomenal, at least the veggie #6 is my most favorite. It's the only place in the 757 I know that serves a sandwich with depth and gorgeous taste. They work fast too, and it's not necessary because I would wait because their sandwiches are phenomenal. This particular Jimmy John's on J Clyde is really the best one. I hope you all have a chance to go by and order your favorite sandwich and see for yourself. The staff are friendly too. It's seriously a hidden gem. It's such a pleasant experience and I get so happy eating my veggie sandwich. ?“

“This place was cute, had to make a U-turn to get here, but I'm glad we did. Place was not busy, and the ingredients were stacked full mostly. Bread was a bit soft, but I think that might just be how their bread is nowadays. The girl who made our sandwiches was quite nice and asked questions for our sandwich preferences, even if we wanted any cookies. Sandwich was amazing, I was starved. Not too much mayo or mustard, and she loaded on the veggies for me. I also got their sweet tea, and I gotta say, I am so happy the east does sweet tea right. I'll go to a gas station in Phoenix and it'll either be unsweetened in the sweet compartment, or very lightly sweetened. But, anyways, the only downside to this place was their chip selection, not very extensive. I had chips in the car anyways, so I wasn't fussed.“

“Got my salad. Tasted good. This location doesn’t have unsweetened tea. If I knew that I wouldn’t have ordered a drink. I threw the cup away. Their reg sweet tea was sweeter than usual as well. Just good food but the vibe of my usual meal disrupted a little bit. Service was good though. Food was good. I was still overcharged for my meal but I didn’t say anything though. Just idk not bad experience. Just heavily inconvenienced“

“I've shared a review on the subway once before and I am going to share another one because this time a different employee was working her name is Maddie she was outstanding. Before I place my online order I called to make sure they had meatballs because I know sometimes places will run out of things she let me know that they had plenty of meatballs and she was very prompt and very kind. When I arrived I believe she was the only person working and was taking care of multiple customers and was still very polite. When I ordered it I requested to have some vegetables on the side as I was going to be eating the sub later on in the night for a job I had to do at night time. She put my vegetables in a nicely neatly that's container for me which was fantastic I really appreciate that and the sub was made absolutely great. I eat at other subways sometimes on the peninsula area and when you order the meatball sub it's never like this one was it's made perfectly... toasted perfectly no slacking on the cheese or meatballs and not only that but you can see in the photo the sub which is a hot sub was wrapped in tin foil I've never got that anywhere but this Yorktown location. Absolutely phenomenal service she is fantastic!!! Perfection. Thank you Miss Maddie.Kid-friendliness: Before I ordered online I called to make sure that they had meatballs because I know sometimes places will run out of things the young lady who answered Maddie was very polite and very prompt.Parking: Right up front. Plenty of room. Clean parking lot.“
