“Absolutely the best Mexican food in all of Richmond VA!!!“

“AMAZING! My BF and I like to try out new places. So I had seen this place a few weeks ago. It was a weekend night and very busy. We went yesterday about 1 pm and it was quiet. The owner was enthusiastic and very helpful as we were unfamiliar with Venezuelan cuisine. I had the Carne en Coco Arepa and didn't leave even a crumb. My BF tried the Pollo Asado Bowl and left nothing either. Both our meals were obviously prepared fresh and piping hot. I tried the Mora Juice and my BF tried a Pacifico. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Maly let us know that they were out of Tres Leches Cake and Quesillo...but would have more soon. I am going back today to try an empanada and a pastele; and pray they have the desserts as I will get both!“

“We stayed here in our RV through Harvest Host but we're only two hours from home and would honestly consider making this a day trip. It's a great spot that's very convenient to the highway. We each had a flight and really enjoyed the wine so we bought several bottles to take home. We sat outside at a firepit because it was an unreasonably warm March afternoon, but the inside has plenty of ambience as well. Definitely worth a stop!“

“Good food, good service, and a laid-back atmosphere. I'm a big fan of the patio in the summer, but there are plenty of good options for seating. I'd highly recommend the sprouts as a side, since I've never had them quite like Kregger's makes them.“

“I did a catering order for Christmas Eve. Lasagna and Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo, salad with homemade Italian dressing and Garlic Knots. “I just had the best pizza in my life. Get here this week to try the Gyro pizza! you will NOT be disappointed. The Meatballs as an app, as always, amazing. We are at the Hanover/Mechanicsville location and the service is top notch. Overall, 10/10.“

“Came here for the Spice and Pints event. It was a pretty good deal. $10 for a beer and three small tasters from three different food trucks (one was a wing, one Thai, and I think one was Laotian). I ate the tasters too fast to take a picture ;-). I also tried the nonalcoholic IPA, and you wouldn't know it had no alcohol by the taste!“

“We had a blast at Intermission after a morning of kids sports. A perfect stop to enjoy a pizza and a beer while kids enjoy reasonably priced arcade games. Very casual and comfortable vibes.

“Frida's is small, but they maximize the space, and it's very comfortable. Food is extremely fresh, portions are generous, and prices are fair. The margarita was strong, and I appreciated feeling like I got my money's worth for it. The tortilla bowl they make for salads is far better than the tortilla bowls at many other Mexican restaurants - you want to eat the entire bowl in addition to your salad. I only have two minor complaints. One, the chips are a bit thicker than many Mexican restaurants. I prefer the thinner ones, but that's just a personal preference, and Frida's chips are still very good. Two, the fajitas are huge, but they only give you two tortillas and charge you for additional. I don't mind being charged for additional tortillas, but when they only give you two to start with, it stings a little. Even three would be great. But, this stuff is minor compared to how good everything was. This was our first visit to Frida's, and we will definitely be back!“

“Fast friendly service! Accommodating by meeting pizza request…I wanted half and half with 2 different specialty toppings. Drinks were good and loved the spiced honey dip for the cheese curds!“

“I've been there twice recently (November 2022)since they changed owners. Unfortunately , I will not be back. The first time...I ordered a cheese steak sub. It was awful, it taste like salt. It was also missing all the toppings I had ordered. The sub roll they now use is so thick it's way too much bread. They use to have a thinner roll and made the bread toasty. Its nothing like before. I thought I would give them one more try since they are close to me. I ordered fried oysters. They were well... just ok, I wouldn't want them again.“
