“Absolutely the best Mexican food in all of Richmond VA!!!“

“I popped by because I wanted a quick snack on my way to an appointment and I was absolutely blown away by the food and service. I was greeted by a very friendly cashier who I conversed with while waiting for my meal. He gave me a free sample of one of their drinks-the blackberry juice-which was delicious. He also helped me narrow down which empanada I wanted and I was not disappointed. The shredded meat empenada was so juicy, flavorful, and crunchy. Genuinely the best empenada I've ever eaten in my life. The sauces given were delicious as well. The spicy one was packed with flavor and the milder one was a perfect contrast to the meatiness of the empenada. 100% will be coming back again and bringing the family.“

“Stopped in for lunch. It was very busy as the hostess was dealing with two large groups. She apologized repeatedly. I understood and was patient (I'm never in a rush to rush others). I ordered the mini burger, chicken tenders and fries for my two children. My wife had the hangover burger with a lemon drop martini. I had the fried fish Gripper (it was huge). The flavor and crust was perfect. They have a great beer selection. There were no IPA's on tap so I had the Lost Coast Tangerine Wheat. Our server, Taylor, was amazing and attended to every requests quickly. Thank you for being awesome!“

“This is my third visit. I've enjoyed the food before and expect today to be no different. I ordered a lamb gyro and spanokopita. Love some spinach and feta. The staff are attentive even at the height of the lunch rush. The place is clean and inviting. My food came so I had to pause writing this review. The gyro was huge. No disappointments.“

“Had an amazing afternoon at James River Cellars today with a friend from out of town! We signed up for the cookie decorating social. Tickets included 3 cookies to decorate and one glass of wine. I got the Santa red (my favorite every year!) and my friend got Hanover white (sweet and refreshing) husband got rose (fruity and floral) We love James River cellars and highly recommend- especially when they host fun events like this!“

“McCoy our server is the best server Kreggers has had in 4 Years. Wonderful customer service, a cut above the others for sure. He makes you feel like family and every need is taken care of before you need to ask. The food here, the burgers are the best. McCoy should train the other servers because he gas a gift many don't have.“

“Their food is fresh and delicious. My wife always gets the Caprese salad and the Sicilian Lasagna, and I get the Lidia's Special or the Chicken Marsala, which are both amazing. They do a lot of takeout business, but the restaurant is also very warm and inviting for a sit-down meal as well. The staff are all pleasant and hard working.“

“Hello it's me. Beer & service review ONLY. Let me further say in support ... one cannot fairly say - oh 4 stars for a location that is situated in the middle of a random parking lot in comparison to one that's on "huge tracts of land" (who got that Monty python reference ) with amazing views, and try to do a side-by-side comparison? I judge it on its own merits bc it is where it is and that's that so it would be unfair to expect the impossible.. Onward: I came for two reasons. Returning from a distant location and it was on my travel path. As well, I was aware they had some reduced gluten offerings so this was a bonus in the beer world. The location is literally next to an automotive store. Wee bit challenging to locate. However, once you get in there, it's a nice space with bar seating and tables. There are board games for those who want to play, the service was attentive, and bartender is ready to explain what they have on tap. Unlike some of the offerings in Richmond, proper, it's not super heavy on the IPAs and, (perhaps an unpopular opinion on my part) not everybody wants every draft to be an IPA. I was therefore pleasantly surprised to find a more varied beer selection. My only negative comment is going to make me sound like a grouch, but it can get loud (very) when folks bring little kids bc it's small. My overall opinion is that in this kinda beer "desert" this is a nice spot!“

“Chocolate Fest - need to stop by when it isn't slammed. the chocolate stout flight was good, but most of them appeared to be the same beer with some flavoring added, rather than beers designed from the ground up. service was prompt, though they got overwhelmed soon after - ymmv. had their beer before and enjoyed it, so looking forward to hanging out in their roomy tasting room without the crowds sometime.“

“I'm giving 4 stars because the bartender was working hard and responsive, the food was tasty. Mango Habanero wings were good, but could really use use heat! But I'd give it 3 stars based on the fact that I ordered extra jalapeños on my pizza. I was charged $2 extra and I have no problem with paying that but I was given the standard amount for a normal order. $2 worth of jalapeños should equate to a whole lot more. Come on PBR, please don't rip me off!! You trying to nickel and dime us?!“

“This place is great, I was looking for a place for dinner and realized I haven't had good Mexican food in a while. The staff was very friendly and professional. The service was great and the food came out quickly it was hot and was delicious. I would highly recommend this place.“

“I've been there twice recently (November 2022)since they changed owners. Unfortunately , I will not be back. The first time...I ordered a cheese steak sub. It was awful, it taste like salt. It was also missing all the toppings I had ordered. The sub roll they now use is so thick it's way too much bread. They use to have a thinner roll and made the bread toasty. Its nothing like before. I thought I would give them one more try since they are close to me. I ordered fried oysters. They were well... just ok, I wouldn't want them again.“
