“Move over Starbucks, I have a new favorite coffee spot. My fiancé and I had a pleasure meeting the owner at Cello coffee house & cafe Saturday evening. Not only was he friendly, welcoming and just a genuinely great man, he served up the best coffee! We tasted a few of his homemade ice cream flavors and they were the better than anything you could get from any container. We even brought home baklava and thoroughly enjoyed it as well. We love supporting these small businesses that pack a punch in our community with such amazing products. If you are ever downtown, make sure to give them a visit! You will NOT be disappointed.“

“I went to Sweet donkey tonight for the first time since moving to Southwest Roanoke and all my friends have recommended it. I was not disappointed. I have celiac and I had the best cranberry white chocolate gluten-free muffin… My iced coffee with oat milk was perfect and the service was lovely and the ambience inside and out was great. “I used to really love this place and go almost every week day but now I kind of go there maybe once a week and only because it's conveniently located but the convenience factor has taken a nose dive because of one recent development: When I pay $5 or $6 for a specialty iced coffee is it too much to ask that it comes with a lid that won't leak? It drips all over my hands all the way to my office and I have to change cups when I get there. If ya get a shipment of faulty lids why not just send them back? I'd rather have no lid at all than the illusion of a lid.“

“Visited this local Starbucks and found the atmosphere to be cozy and conducive to getting work done. The staff was friendly, and there were plenty of wall plugs around, making it a good spot for those who need to charge up and stay productive.

However, I was disappointed with the coffee. The espresso didn’t have that fresh-bean taste I look for, and my caramel latte was lacking in caramel flavor. While it’s a nice spot to sit and work, I’d love to see an improvement in the quality of the coffee to make it a fully enjoyable experience.“

“This is by far one of my most favorite restaurants! I was celebrating an event, which they recognize and celebrated with me! Our server was excellent and provided great recommendations for food and drinks. We ate the boar sausage, the scallops appetizer, the burger, and the pecan ice cream dessert. All of it was excellent! We were sad to leave and highly recommend anyone go there!“

“My husband and I first visited The Hotel Roanoke last year for a "mini-moon" after our marriage. This year, we revisited for our 1st Wedding Anniversary. To add to the festivities, we dine our first night at The Regency Room. The food is spectacular. The music is amazing. The environment is breath taking. The service is out-of-this-world! Would like to take a moment to thank the host for his hospitality, kindness and going out of his way to make each guest feel special. The second night of our trip he saw us walk by the dining room and followed us to the elevator to say "Hello" and to "Come see him again." I am still so impressed and touched by the gesture.“

“A good Starbucks fast service and delivery many seats to sit at. Associates are very friendly. They could add more tables for the sitting area otherwise a good place to get coffee.

Parking: Parking is a little difficult to find as there aren't many spots, but the drive thru was busy.“
