Food was great so was service by John who was just very pleasant and ready to serve you. He recommended a lemonade drink that is their house special and we loved it. With both gluten-free and Vegan family member, this bakery provided college graduation cakes, 80th birthday cakes for grandparents and countless treats and surprises we could all eat together. “I've been going to the Silver Diner in Reston for over 15 years. Food is always good, new items added to menu seasonally, staff are real folks who are easy to talk with and joke with as well. You get a sense of "family" when you are there as staff and customers interact. Servers are fun people and make your day. Today was Rubia's day and she is special. Come out and see for yourself.“

“Wow. Incredibly impressed with this place. The coffee tasted amazing. The latte was fantastic (get the vanilla cream) with a perfect amount of foam on top. The Nutella acma and the egg sandwich were a perfect start to the day. And everything reasonably priced. Better than reasonable- I haven’t seen a $5 breakfast sandwich in years. And a flavored latte under $5 is almost unheard of. Bathroom was clean. This place was great and I can’t wait to go back.“

For Christmas, we received a bag of the original granola, and some granola butter and tbh I forgot all about it because, well, it's granola. We loved doing the at home tasting and appreciated that Ocean took the time to do a video call with us before we booked!! The team includes a free cake on your one-year anniversary so we didn't even have to worry about boxing it up after the wedding. My only regret is not getting enough cake on wedding day lol guess I'll just have to wait until our anniversary 😉😋!“

We ended up going with EID because Jim, the man we were talking with, went above and beyond to make a connection with me! We brainstormed different ideas and felt like our cake was important to him. We had no problem paying in full because of that connection. His communication was awesome and I was so excited to meet him when we picked up the cake. He took all the tidbits of our conversation and made THE perfect cake. It looked stunning and was equally as delicious! In addition, he met us at the door with complimentary samples. If we ever have another need for a bakery out here, EID with be the only one we call!“
