“Visit 03/10/24. As before with my post a week ago, the place was very clean from floors to tables and chairs. In South Hill, that is refreshing when I have visited. Other fast food restaurants in town over visits to South Hill tolerable but not as clean as Hardee's inside. The staff at Hardee's continues to show a friendly position and provide good service along with good food.Hardee's has stepped up with changes to their hamburger patty and fries recently. All the burgers are Angus Beef, according to staff. It is somewhat thin and pre-pressed, average in flavor and still large enough to fill the bun. The burger I selected, the Famous Star, sits on top of the chilled lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles on a mayonnaise spread on a dependable bun that recently has been upgraded to hold its form better while eating. The French fries are no longer the string version, changed to the crinkle/wavy version, a little more potatoes and seasoning flavor. Good when fresh. Ketchup optional.Let us not forget about a nice apple pie turnover Hardee's offers to finish off the meal. Quite good, tasty and warm, for the offering.Hardee's has a good variety on the menu. I have had their chicken sandwich some time ago and was not impressed with the chicken patty. What was pictured on their food menu board was not what was provided. Hopefully Hardee's will eventually reconsider an alternative patty, a better patty for their chicken sandwich. That of course is my preference, but may be satisfactory to others. Their chicken strips and chick are good.Hardee's restrooms are usually clean. I have not used it anytime recently, but in the past, they have been adequately clean, again, better than some other fastfood restrooms. Lighting could stand an upgrade for better vision and comfort.Parking: free parking available. Wide lanes for cars to pass each other in the parking area. Handicapped parking alongside the building for access to the closest door entrance.Wheelchair accessibility: I assume the doors are wide enough for a wheelchair. The handicap parking area provides proper access to the sidewalk to the door. Couple of tables are available, if not occupied for wheelchair patrons.“
“A very quaint place on Brooklyn Parkway. Food was excellent service was phenomenal. Prices were great. One thing I can add is. Maybe they should try their hand at making shakes. I think they would probably. Slay it ❤️???Kid-friendliness: Plenty of seating . Pleasant atmosphere“
“The food is really great but I do wish they had some kind of system for not forcing every single order to be individually wrapped and put into a bag. I understand that they are probably trying to cut down on the need for dishwashers, but even simple lunch trays could really cut down on the waste being created from people eating there.“
“Unassuming joint, but the food’s on point. My main gripes with wings from most places are 1) that they never quite seem to be crispy enough and 2) that they’re big victims of shrinkflation, charging me upwards of $2 apiece for wings that seem to get smaller every year. This place did not have either of those problems. The wings were big, cooked well, crispy, and extremely flavorful. They worked out to just north of a dollar per wing and weren’t stingy with the sauces / ranch either. So the value is certainly there. The customer service was also on point, the guy running the front counter was very nice and took extra care to make sure I had everything I needed before carrying it out.My new go-to for wings in RVA. Don’t let the outside fool you, this place is legit!“
“Stopped by on a Sunday morning. It has a bar like atmosphere, but the food is absolutely amazing. Everything was made from scratch and cooked to order. We highly highly recommend the pancakes. They were the best we’ve ever had. Great food and friendly attentive staff.“
“Very friendly prompt carry out service and even had an additional overflow waiting area in an extended artsy area where you could purchase items. Had a an eclectic chic artistic vibe in waiting /overflow area… and the Pinapple Moore Mosa was invigorating.“
“Absolutely amazing. Our waitress and waitress.in training were nothing less of exceptional. The food came with a quickness and was absolutely delicious. Before I could even get my tea half way down I had another one. This is THE PLACE TO BE!!!!!“
“This place checked almost all my boxes for brunch spots;a variety of Benny's, specialty cocktails especially ones with flowers, moonshine, and sparkling, chicken and waffles, biscuits and gravy; stuffed French toast, and avocado toast. Ambiance was great; the building is an old school movie theatre. Both the food and service we're amazing; Jessica was handling her business!“
“Found this place looking for “best lunches” close to the children’s museum. After letting our little one run off some energy, by 2:30 everyone was famished. A quick walk we were greeted as soon as we walked in.They were able to get a booth cleaned for us quickly and as soon as we sat down our server was ready. They had a cute kids menu that kept our 7 year old busy while we waited for our food. And when the food did arrive (not long at all) it was AWESOME! I got a side salad with my burger and it was so worth it. They packed it full of veggies. My husband got the shrimp poboy and his only complaint was that it had to much mayonnaise.Definitely worth the visit if your in town or if your a local stop by! Your tummy will thank you!!Kid-friendliness: Kids menu the kids can color and find word puzzles“
“Great customer service. The food came out hot and fast. The hush puppies were good. The pulled chicken was bland (not smoked or grilled long enough, maybe idk). The chicken was tender and just needed some flavor. They have a variety of bbq sauces on the table, but they all tasted the same to me. I also tried the corn pudding since that is a side you don't usually see, and it's one of my favorites, but it was like a fluffy custard, not the usual sweet and creamy taste when home made. I substituted that side for fries, and they were a better choice. I will go back to try the wings.“
“I have not been in the Richmond area long, but Zombie Pizza has already proven to be a fantastic discovery. Run by very pleasant people, and they make some "killer" 'za.I've tried a regular pepperoni pie here, and also the philly steak pizza. Both great. But the Sicilian pie is where it's at. After first trying the Sicilian, I have been back multiple times to get more. This thicker pie really hit the spot for what I was looking for in terms of texture and flavor. Just awesome. Go check 'em out.Carry out only, and the parking is not the best, but it works for zipping in, grabbing and going“
“THESE BURGERS SLAP! I got a goat cheese burger, and that thing was majestic. The restaurant gives millennial core but in a stylish millennial who wears mom jeans kinda way! I think I gained ten pounds from the duck fat pimento cheese fries, and those were the best pounds I’ve ever gained. Come here if you are cool, don’t come if you aren’t (actually still come bc this place must stay open)!“
“I sadly didn’t take any pictures, but you’ll be able to see those on other reviews. Sorry about that.I went here on a Wednesday at around 7 with my mother. She’s got a rollator which is one of those fancy walkers with wheels.I got an andouille sandwich with their spicy potatoes salad. The sandwich was much more than food than I expected. I was quite full afterword. It was two sausages cheese melted on a toasted bun with onions. Excellent meal that I was hesitant to try. The potato salad was great. Better than my mom’s but not quite as good as Garnett’s.My mom got a hamburger with only onions it’s her typical fare with the red skin potatoes. I tried her potatoes and they were good. Her hamburger was pretty boring but she liked it. I think they could have made the beef patties bigger for the price but we had a good meal.Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The meals came out in a reasonable time. The place is very cute and unique. It’s a smaller establishment with a covered patio. The place is handicap accessible but would be difficult with a wheel chair. My mom did fine with her rollator. No steps or anything to get over. The bathrooms are tiny but I think that’s due to the age of the establishment. If I’m in the area would definitely return. Great food, staff, and atmosphere.“
“I love a good burger. As a matter of fact, I seek them out. I kept hearing about this place, so I checked it out. I was not disappointed. Both my daughter and I had the ACAB and my husband had the backyard burg. These smash burgers are heavenly! I will be back for sure!“
“I’ve been to this place 3 times and got something different each time. The food is impressive! I would describe it as… gourmet bar food?! Even the hot dog I had was ground and cased, in house! They put thought and care into this food so I’d never label it ‘bar food’. Vegan and vegetarian options (my girlfriend loved) and I’m not talking about all the processed boxed stuff. It’s a great, comfortable experience and the people are so friendly!! I highly recommend it!“
“The food was great! Along with the customer service! I had the seafood fries, bang’n shrimp and the kids nuggets/tenders. I was late to a birthday celebration so I didn’t get to try anything fancy. Everything came out quick, with no issues. Their bathroom was super clean. I recommend trying, especially during their Thursday Happy Hour!“
“You want great food in a small, home town setting then this is a must have!!! The food is wonderful! Fresh, made to order and always good and hot. I love the fact they hire local teens and young adults as servers too. And if you need an ice cream fix, they have great shakes, cones and sundaes with lots of flavors to choose from. 5+ stars 100 % YUM!Kid-friendliness: 100% Yes!“
“This is our favorite sweet treat. (Lombardy location) I haven't found any other donut shop with a variety of vegan options. My child has food allergies to eggs and nuts. The employees even placed the vegan donuts in a separate bag/box to prevent cross-contamination. Kudos for the service and the best tasting treats.Vegetarian options: A row of different types of donuts labeled vegan“
“I don't know why I haven't heard about this place! Just happened to pass by it after my son's doctors appointment and am glad I stopped in. I got ox tails, but man, that food was soo good make you want to slap your momma ( Friday after next reference for those in the slow seats, lol) I definitely will be coming back and encourage all my foodies to try this place at least once!“
“We stopped here on our road trip and we were very happy with our experience. It was so very busy but you couldn't tell from the service we recieved. Our server, Ashley was fantastic. She checked in often, in fact several servers did. We had a table of five and our food cane out fast and hot and as expected. This is better than our local Red Robin which is never this busy. 10/10. Whatever these guys are doing is working. Good job!“
“Overall Rating: 7.8/10Whether opting for dine-in or takeout, the pizza and the appetizer sampler were satisfying.Takeout Service: 7.9/10The process of ordering online was streamlined, with the convenience of Apple Pay and immediate email confirmation. The food was ready as promised. However, the online menu could use better descriptions to help ensure customers know exactly what they are ordering.NY Cheese Pizza: 7.1/10A solid choice for pizza lovers, featuring great taste and good sauce. The only drawback was the dough, which was a bit too chewy than preferred.Appetizer Sampler: 7.9/10Definitely worth trying, as it provides a variety of options. The Mac n' cheese bites were surprisingly crispy and delicious. The chicken tenders were well-cooked, and the mozzarella sticks boasted generous cheese filling, complemented by a selection of sauces.Value: 7.9/10The pricing for the pizza seemed reasonable, but the appetizer sampler stood out as particularly good value, offering an enjoyable range of tasty options.“
“I stopped in for a drink before going through security for my flight. Walter was my bartender and server. He was great! He has a great personality, someone really made for this type of a job. He asked everyone at the bar one time what their names were, and then remembered each person without asking again.I don't normally frequent airport restaurants or bars anymore, but if I find myself in Richmond again and see Walter working, I will visit without a doubt.“
“Apres Irish Fest. Scrum-dili-iscios! We got Philly cheese steak and chicken Philly. Would not change a single thing. Loaded tots were super yummy. Plain fries are pazakly what you want in straight up fries. Hot, crispy and the right size. Our bartenders were adorable, attentive, and en pointe. Can't wait to go back.“
“I go here most Tuesday evenings for their 9.99 burger and fries deal, and I haven't been disappointed yet. The food is always delicious. The portion sizes are great, especially for the price. The staff is always friendly, and most recently, they acknowledged me as a regular which is super fun. I have no complaints and encourage you to go get one of these tasty burgers for yourself.“
“Roy’s Big Burger has been serving old fashioned hamburgers in Richmond, VA since 1961. It's touted as a Richmond institution, by staying the course and simply serving burgers and fries and a few extras, like chicken sandwiches and fried pickles. Take out only, though seating is available outdoors near the building. I felt the burger joint vibe and ordered a single 1/4 pounder with cheese, "all-the-way", and a small order of fries. After picking up my brown paper bag of food, I had to eat at a picnic table while the sun warmed me on this cool Feb afternoon. I was pleasantly surprised to see the size of my purchase with a handful of ketchup packets for the fries, which were great! The burger was juicy and tasty and loaded with everything. It was a great basic meal that was both filling and satisfying.“
“While looking for a quick bite, traveling through VA, I happened to land at MO Carry Out. Couldn't have made a better choice. Crispy, flavorful fried fish and wings. The gentlemen working the kitchen and counter were friendly, funny, and welcoming. So was Mr Brown, who was hanging out in the dining area :). Will definitely stop here again!“
“First-time diners, stopped in around noon for a Monster Junk Yard Dog and a Bologna Burger. This is CLASSIC diner (& breakfast!) joint fare with really generous portions (Never seen a bologna burger that thick, EVER). The owners are good folks and the decor is astounding. Stopping back for breakfast sometime soon!“
“Stopped in for lunch for the first time today, my wife and I got the chicken sandwich with fries, I got mine tossed in mild garlic sauce. Very good. Server forgot our basket of onion rings but once we got them they were delicious. Will definitely be coming back. Loved reading the story on the menu as well. Very laid back atmosphere and great choice of music. Not many places you can get a hot sit down meal for $20 a person anymore including drinks and an appetizer.“
“We ordered 2 burgers from them, take out. When we got home we found the burgers were burnt. I called and spoke Jason, the manager. He was really nice. He made it right. I was very impressed with him, not the burger, but him. Thank you Jason. Keep an eye on that cook!“
“One of our regular stops for take out. But wanted to give a shout out to the crew last night that seemed wildly understaffed but still had everything handled! Hope its not like that for the crew all the time. Thanks for the great service and food!“
“Menu has expanded with some new choices and food was prepared perfectly. Service was better than it has been in the past. The woman sitting in the booth across from me was hot and didn't have a ring on her finger. Wanted to ask for her number but how awkward would that have been at IHOP....“
“Ordered from my house and it was almost ready when I got there. Expensive but it's good once in awhile. The team made it known that they had been shorted hot dog buns from their supplier and they put my hot dog on a hamburger bun and it was actually great, I enjoyed it.“
“The location, vibe are excellent. Very spacious, so even if it gets crowded it doesn't feel that tight. Great collection of beers and cocktails. You get great discounts during happy hours (weekdays 3-7 pm). Cocktails and classy beers get very cheap. However I didn't like the food that much. I ordered 3 starters (as in pics) and all of them were not up to the markParking: You need to find street parking in the vicinity. Might need to walk 1-2 blocks.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, accessible.“
“I moved here 3 days ago from Miami and have been hearing about this spot since before I got here. Long story short, I ordered delivery during a long evening of unpacking. My rescue dog has refused to eat for three days during this move and I hadn’t eaten much as a result - stress is a killer. I ordered delivery late on a weekday night with a few minor modifications, but the one that took the cake was asking for bacon on the side, trying to entice my pup to eat. The delivery came with a 5 star hotel side of bacon labeled ‘for doggo.’ They didn’t know my dog hadn’t eaten for 3 days. Or that I’m crying from worry and exhaustion. They just gave him bacon. And me pizza. And we ate. And all is now right or at least fixable. And it will forever be my welcome pizza and the best meal my dog has ever had. Thank you.“
“Amazing food, very Delicious, only thing I had an issue with was that there was only one bartender/server and to be completely honest she seemed as if she was more interested in her "already drunk" bar patrons than customers who wanted to order food like myself. Otherwise from that it was decent.“
“Prefect service on my last visit.Started with a friendly person at the register. Helpful with recommendations but not pushy. Food was food quickly. More fries than you can imagine when you order a large.Restaurant was clean, and unlike most establishments nowadays, the employees seem genuinely happy to be working there.“
“Drive-thru was very friendly and accommodating but I had to correct them last night more than three times. When I finally got home my order was still slightly incorrect. I loved the friendliness respect I was shown but attention to detail was quite lacking.Dietary restrictions: I am on a low-carb diet and askwd for some conies with no bun. Their menu is not diet friendly, customers have to be creative about their own diets when ordering.“
“All I got was a milkshake, but being from the NE and living where NY's best ice cream is made and sold, I was pretty impressed by the Cook Out shake. It was thick, rich and I got to combine my own flavors. Even the Cook Out dude was like damn, this sounds good. And it was! Grab yo self a shake from Cook Out. Also I hear they do food, shrug.“
“Wonderful experience here this morning. My cashier Nicholas was amazing. His customer service, knowledge of the menu, and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure I had everything I needed for my family meal was nothing short of outstanding. Thank you Sir.“
“Best Burger I ever had. Best Burger in Richmond Virginia hands down. If you’ve tried the other burger joints the big names Cary five guys. This place puts those to shame And the customer service is remarkable Ms. Brenda welcomed me with open arms made me feel like a regular.Chez“
