“Sushi and appetizers were top notch. Service was prompt and attentive. Of the 3 all you can eat sushi I've been to in the NoVa area, this was the best. I really liked the tuna, Tokyo mami roll, bolgogi, and gyoza.

My only feedback is I wish you could get more than one piece of the tuna belly on the all you can eat. That cut was insanely good.

They are known for generous portions and reasonable prices for the food they serve. The service was slow, as only one person was serving and taking orders, but overall, it was okay. Sushi and sashimi for one person were large and could be shared between two, offering a generous selection, although nothing particularly stood out, even though they were fresh. The pork skewers were also large in portion, and the price was excellent, but the quality of the food didn’t meet expectations. If you are a big eater, this restaurant is definitely an excellent choice.“

“I am a fan of unagi (eel), so when a friend recommended Taiko Sushi I had to start with their unagi domburi (eel over sushi rice).

It is simply the best unagi domburi I have ever had in the DC area.

It was $30, but the portion size was generous and it came with several small sides such as Japanese pickles and seaweed salad. I'm glad I didn't buy an appetizer, or I wouldn't have been able to eat it all.“

“Been hooked to this resto since 2022. Been all over the US, from California, Texas, Colorado, Georgia etcc… and this is far the most fresh, and best tasting sushi we have ever gone. We always order the redbull roll and never gone wrong! We also order toro ( fatty tuna) sashimi because it just melt on the tongue like butter. It’s so fresh! The marbling on their Toro is majestic! I tried to look and eat for the same roll from other resto, and no one has beat kumo. The staff are always polite, kind, and energetic. If you’re ever in DMV, this is a must place to eat!“

“Stopped on a whim. I was walking by, hungry and reviews looked good. So glad I tried it. I ordered the miso ramen to-go. The broth was separate in the take away container which meant everything didn’t get soggy while I walked a mile back. Miso was really good. I wasn’t a fan of the noodles. I prefer them a little thinner. Despite that, the miso ramen was really good. The meat was cooked perfectly. Miso was tasty. I would definitely eat here again.“

The sushi is so good that it doesn’t matter is you are just giving “one napkin”. Ask for more. The sushi is delish. The true flavor of the rice and the fish and the extra topping really come out because they don’t douse the sushi in so much sauce that all you taste is the sauce. It really is fresh food as you must sit and wait for the order to be made. You can also observe the owner making it. I was never too much of a sushi fan, but this place has won me over. “This is one of the best Japanese steakhouses I have ever been to. I have been to a handful but this place has always been my home. I have been coming to this place since I was a child and before the new owners. It has yet to disappoint me with anything. Atmosphere is always great and the food is even better. I miss Kawasaki because he would do the craziest things like throw an onion from across the room for a free meal (which I caught) some of the best memories of mine have come from here. I 100% suggest if you haven’t had hibachi before.

“We love coming here, great ambiance and people. David the manager was very accommodating and our chef - Ryan - did an amazing job tonight. We love that they give noodles and fried rice! Also you MUST try the Tokyo Shrimp here it is FANTASTIC!! The filet mignon melts in your mouth love the salmon lobster and scallops too. Their ginger sauce, yum yum sauce, AND salad dressing are all on point. It’s hard to find a place that does everything as well as Samurai. We drive from Ashburn just to come here for hibachi.“

“We love Fo. While we have eaten there in person, it's usually a nice take out option for us. The sushi is always really fresh, and we love the teriyaki and red curry. The staff is also super responsive and helpful. We have some food allergies in our family that make being able to eat out really difficult, and they are so careful at Fo! It's amazing having a safe option that I can actually eat (there are very few places or meals where we can!)“

“I order take out from here fairly often now that I've found it. I have a gluten allergy and they are very accommodating and careful with gluten free. A lot of Chinese restaurants don't offer gluten-free, so its great!! Obviously, not everything on the menus is available gluten-free, but there are multiple options. We've ordered many times in the past few months. There was only 1 time that I had a reaction, and it's probably because a gluten-free item and a non-gluten-free item got mixed up. After that experience, I have just asked them to label the gluten-free items to assure it doesn't get mixed up. They have been really good about it. One of the guys that works there, I'm not sure if he's the owner or not, but he goes above and beyond to assure the food is gluten free is safe for me. I very much appreciate him! It's a great little place with good food if you're look to order Chinese!“
