“I had just had a horrible experience with the customer service with the dominos next door with them not even delivering my pizza.
The stark difference as soon as I called and a friendly gentleman took my order and delivered it was a complete 180!

“This place takes me to my childhood back in the day when I lived in Lambert's Point and there was this place called the Rice Bowl on the corner of 39th and Boydens Ferry rd. accross the street from the corner market. This is where I fell in love with fried rice, small smoke, chop suey and of course yak, Norfolk style. So if you're feeling a little nostalgic for old style neighborhood Chinese takeout you should go there.“

“Wow I was sitting here in Ghana Africa and a thaught came to me. I asked my wife what was the name of that sub place we use to always order from when I was stationed in Norfolk. I was stationed at NOB on the USS Iwo Jima in 1992 until decommissioned in 1993 then to the USS WASP 93 to 96. We used to always order from Cals Pizza and subs. I used to get the cheese steak sub and suicide wings. This place was the best. Good to see they are still in business serving Virginia and the Navy. It brings back good memories for me as a young kid in the Navy.“

“5 stars for letting me use their phone after my interview across the street. I just used it to let my dad know I got the job, but his voice cracked and I knew it was about my grandmother. He had to let me off the phone to talk with his dad about her state of health at the time.
