“One of my ABsolute favorite spots & I'd give 10 stars to The 10 Top! I cant say enough about this low key hidden gem. Their unique dishes, homemade soups & croutons etc. is some of the best food/retro atmosphere in Norfolk, and I dont say that lightly. Yums & noms!! Consistently something unique and interesting on their specials/soups and menu that intrigues and makes you want to try it all - makes choosing what to order tough bc it all is so amaze! “I’ve eaten here now 5 times. Gone for an evening date, family gathering of 8, and a regular dinner for 4 out and about in town. They can accommodate anything. The food is excellent, creative and unique. Staff is nice and helpful, and hardworking. This is a staple for me. Parking on the street hasn’t been a problem but also garages are available or uber if you are enjoying the neat drink menu.“

“We came here as a group of 6 on a Tuesday evening, and we were seated at their smallest table. When we asked to be moved to a larger (there were 3 open larger tables) we were told that the "wait" was too long. All 3 tables sat empty the entire time we ate. 3 of the 6 people in our party ordered the blackened sword fish at $34/plate. The orders came as grilled and they were severely over cooked. When we mentioned that the orders were wrong, we were told that they could take that fish back add blackened seasoning and re cook the same (already overcooked) fish. We asked to speak to the manager, whose immediate solution was to take off the automatic gratuity and just not tip our server. We never got an apology for the food being wrong, and the manager was completely rude the entire time. The manager's final solution was to take $4 off of a $80 bill. We will not be back.“

“This is the BEST Chinese food in Norfolk! I have tried ALL the other Chinese restaurants in the area and they all pale in comparison. Fried dumplings, house special Lo Mein, and house special fried rice are gold standard dishes cooked to perfection. The only bummer is they are CLOSED on Mondays.“

“Gem. We had kimchi patty melt. Dumplings. Goat cheese. Everything was exquisite. I am a diner patty melt purist... I generally object to patty melts that are not the 70 year old recipe. The kimchi patty melt actually gave patty melt and PACKED with layers of flavors. (A touch sloppy) Dumplings were delicious and flavorful and goat cheese was so insta worthy but I failed to let phone eat first . We are in the hood and have eaten here multiple times... Always upscale first class. The vibe at the bar is super hip. We have never been able to sit here until tonight. We don't come here enough it is such a fab place with a great creative menu.“

“Attended the wine dinner last evening and was underwhelmed. I had called to ask if they would accommodate dietary requests such as vegetarian/pescatarian and was told no however last evening they had several people that they accomadated for dietary requests. It was disappointing to learn that too late. It was a rainy cold evening and the seating for the event was in their inclosed outside seating area. Throughout the evening you got burst of cold air in spite of the heaters it was cold. Going into the colder months I definitely would not attend if they don’t change the location of the dinner in their restaurant. The food and wine were good but nothing overly impressive. The last wine was Federalist which is a very inexpensive everyday wine that you can get at total wine for under $20. I guess I was expecting more from the wine dinner which is why I say I was underwhelmed.“

“We came upon this hidden gem when visiting Chelsea Bakehouse last week. We passed by this quaint house with a lovely garden and noticed people sitting out in the garden. Out front there was a sign about wine tasting and Turkish Breakfast on sat and sun mornings…we were intrigued. So we planned to go the following Saturday. Walked in and there was a beautifully decorated “in house”dining area. Very intimate. We opted to sit in the garden since the weather was perfect. Jason who was our server (come to find out part owner as well) was so welcoming and friendly. He chatted about the menu as well as the house and gardens. It was like talking with an old friend. The first course of three came out. It’s only $25 per person and you can order extras from course 1 and 2. My whole party eats a plant based diet so we were delighted that all the dishes are vegetarian. Everything was delicious! We wanted to dig in right away and forgot to take pictures. The atmosphere was so chill, like you were having breakfast at a friend’s house. We cannot wait to go back and try dinner!“

“Tried this restaurant due to its reviews and weren't dissapointed. We almost left due to the unassuming exterior of what was inside. We're pleasantly surprised once inside. Clean quaint place. Wing appetizer were large wings with several flavors and spice levels to chose from my wife and I ordered 3 entries to share and take home which were all excellently prepared and were better than most Thai places we have tried. Waitress was very attentive to our needs checking up with us frequently. I highly recommend this restaurant. We will surely be returning.“

Our favorites are kimbap, kimchi jjigae (kimchi stew), la galbi (ribs), and duk mandu guk (dumpling soup). Delicious, perfectly seasoned, served with traditional sides.
It's more than the food. The older waitress is so helpful and kind. She answers all of our questions and is always prompt - even when the place is packed.“
