“Awesome spot!! Food was very good! We got the brussel sprouts, Mac & Cheese with bacon, tots, Reuben and the Jalapeño burger. I wish the Mac & Cheese had that cheesy gooey ness to it but that’s a personal preference. It was still super good and we ate the whole thing.
The beer list was extensive! I stuck to their Sour selection and dang they were all so good! My friend had a few different drinks but the one that stuck out was the Peach Cider. It tasted like you legit just bit into a Peach!
The whole staff were welcoming and friendly. The bartender, Joe, (I hope I remembered his name correctly) was great!“

“Modern day CHEERS! BEST bar in the DMV! AMAZING PLACE! GREAT vibe/bands/staff/food/bar/service, and the most warm and welcoming staff and "regulars"! Remember the show "CHEERS"? Rename it Pete's! "Where everybody knows your name and they're always glad you came." Just add terrific live music, great acoustics, and the best dance floor around! Truly impressive across the board - friendly, welcoming and FUN. Pete, Kelly and their team are true professionals; they love their work and make sure everyone feels welcome. Pete personally goes from table to table - when he's not joining the band/playing guitar! Kelly is wonderful, kind, warm, and consistently books the BEST bands around. Bartender Bo is indeed "super cool" and funny. Servers Mario and Andrea are helpful, attentive, efficient, and keep everyone very well-fed. Chef Pete (different one) regularly impresses with tasty appetizers, entrees, salads (Greek is a fave), desserts, and more. More than worth a visit - keep going back! I'm proud to be a regular (OK - groupie/super-fan) and my nights at Pete's are true weekend highlights. “We had our wedding at the Commentary on 5/31/25 and we could not be more thrilled with our experience. Olivia Martel and Chef Fran were PHENOMENAL to work with. Anything we wanted, we got. We wanted a low key, chill wedding, and decided on stations and the pasta bar with a plethora of appetizers and the execution was a 10/10. We loved having the whole bar and restaurant to ourselves in Ballston and welcoming guests from across the country and being in the Commentary’s/Westin’s care. They took really great care of us and we couldn’t be more grateful for the most beautiful day of our lives.“

“I think was the perfect choice for us newbies. We were seeking to try many different types of whiskeys and this was the place. Sergei (hope that’s correct) was more than accommodating and explained the flights to us along with the type of whiskey. He also gave recommendations. He was very busy with other customers as we believe it was just him and chef at opening. It was quiet since we went before happy hour. The food was good! We are definitely coming back to try a third or fourth flight or whiskey. The Whiskey 201 flights has a Japanese Whiskey 🥃 that is 😍“

Food came out very quick, maybe 7 minutes. Very convenient while staying at Hotel Pentagon and the bartender/waiter was very pleasant.“

The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was some of the best Thai we have ever had. The Pad Thai was amazing. The Hang Over Noodles (Drunken Noodles) was exceptional. And the red curry was by far the best I’ve had in the area. The ambiance was quite pleasant as well. Initially we were sat in an area that was a little noisy for our taste, but they graciously moved us to a much quieter section. The owner, Nancy came over after our meal and was very appreciative of our comments on the meal. She shared with us that she personally picks the freshest ingredients she can find to ensure the quality of the food. I would highly recommend Soul Thai to everyone. We will be coming back soon.
