The Jumbo Sea scallops were the biggest I've seen. My husband said it was the best steak hes had, and trust me, he eats a lot of steak! Oyster Rockefeller was mouth watering and the seasoning used on the broccolini was a different taste but very good! They definitely have some awesome cooks here!!”

“Let me tell you! This might be my go to every time I come home to Portsmouth now!
I wanted to check out the casino and grab something to eat so we stopped in Yard House for the Poke Nachos. It happened to be happy hour and the bartender let me sample beer since I'm not a beer drinker. I really appreciated them letting me try before I buy!
We were seated in a booth and since it was Happy Hour, we ordered the poke nachos and brussel sprouts. Both were pretty good! Our waitress was getting trained, I think her name was TT. She was great! I would have never known she was new but her trainer was also amazing. Shot out to them two! I then ordered the beef bowl and my fiance ordered the wings. I really enjoyed the beef bowl but thought it was missing something so I added a light orangish sauce they had. I wish I remembered the name but it was bomb on top of the steak bowl. My fiance ordered the pepper wings and lemon pepper wings. They were both BOMB. Cooked to perfection and delicious flavor. The place was clean and had great views of the tvs every where! Happy Hour was half off appetizers until 6pm and the happy hour food was great options. You could eat a full dinner off the appetizer menu!”

“Mom and Son Thai Kitchen is the best Thai restaurant that I’ve tried. My family loves it as do all the family and friends that I’ve recommended it to. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is amazing. I’ve always liked Thai food, but I LOVE the Thai food from Mom and Son Thai Kitchen. It is very fresh and full of flavor. Everything I’ve had tastes like it was made from scratch with love. My favorite dishes are the Thai fried rice, basil stir fry, Pad Kee Mao, and the Thai Noodle Soup. If you’ve never tried this place, go try it ASAP!”

“Food was great, no notes. Ordered a 3 meals: 1 curry chicken snack with mac, 1 small curry chicken meal with Mac and green beans, and 1 small jerk with rice and peas and green beans. We arrived later in the day so they were out of a few sides but we enjoyed our meals. They also gave us some chicken soup.

Ordered at the bar and waited for them to call our name. Portion sizes were very generous. My family agreed we would definitely eat here again.”

I atmosphere reminded of being a little girl shopping with my mommy in the late 1980s when Murray's Steak House was in Suffolk Virginia on Portsmouth Blvd. I miss my mom, but Flowers Bakery Outlet gave me a Happy memory. “Seems like the place changed names but their menu still showed this name, the food was pretty good but nothing too spectacular. I do highly recommend the pound cake, it was delicious, they were out of avocado for one of our burgers but the waitress was amazing and went above and beyond to make up for it. Just for that alone I recommend this place.”

“Don't put powdered sugar on your pancakes unless you're going to advertise it. When somebody tells you they can't have powdered sugar on their pancakes don't try to scrape it off and flip them upside down and hand them back. Get another Chef because the cook and the kitchen today was rude and did not care about any of the people that were there. Took forever to get food and when it did come everything except for the bacon and the potatoes was inedible. Listened to other people in the restaurant return food and listen to the chef give lip about it and say it was not his problem. Waitress was pleasant, she even tried to tell the cook that he couldn't scrape powdered sugar off the pancake but he did it anyway, only downside about her was that she was concerned about her phone than anything else. Will never return again. I should have paid attention that the reviews on this page are two years or more old. definitely not the place that was reviewed previously. Don't know what's happened but it's not good.”

The Philly wasn’t seasoned enough for me, but they provided extra garlic salt & it was perfect once added! The fries weren’t my favorite cut or texture, but it was hot & complemented my sub. The reese's  cup cookie was delicious and was a flavorful way to end my meal. This location is in desperate need of a remodel, but I’ll be back !”
