We love the Fairfax location much more, though. They have fountain drinks, more food options, and you can eat from a big bowl when dining in instead of a takeout container. They have better music, and there isn’t an alarm bell going off anytime an online order comes in.“

Absolutely loved this place! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was warm, inviting, and super fun — perfect for both family gatherings and catching up with friends. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, walking us through the menu and making sure we had everything we needed.

The shabu shabu was top-notch — fresh ingredients, high-quality meats, and rich, flavorful broths. They had a great selection of veggies, sauces, and dipping options that let everyone at the table customize their meal just the way they liked it. We especially loved the wagyu and the spicy miso broth — so good!

The restaurant was clean, well-lit, and had a great energy without being too loud. Plenty of space for groups, and the table setup made it really easy to enjoy the cooking experience together.

“Found this Sushi restaurant in Herndon and it did not disappoint! We ordered a few special rolls and the Caterpillar was delicious. Other rolls were good too. We also had a Ramen noodle bowl which was plentiful and fresh tasting. All in all, would recommend and would visit again!“

“Born and raised in Japan, I am pretty judgmental when it comes to any establishments claiming to be “Japanese.”

I had miso soup ($4), Toro Bowl ($28) and hot tea ($3).

Toro Bowl: I was not impressed, but definitely this dish was not disgusting like some other fake Japanese restaurants serve. Ikura wasn’t the freshest, and the three sheets of nori (sea weeds) were stale (thus making it chewy rather than crispy) and tasted very cheep. Overall it was “Okay”

Miso soup: I was pleasantly surprised with how they have used decent amount of dashi in their soup (like how they do it in Japan), giving it an authentic twist. The soup was flavorful and I enjoyed it.

Tea: this was another pleasant surprise to receive what it mocked as Genmai-cha (tea with roasted rice bits in it). Well done.

From what you get in DMV area, I’d give a 4 stars or even 4.5 stars. As an overall “Japanese” izakaya, I’d put this in 3 stars range.“

“Second time here. First visit was hibachi for my son's birthday a couple of years ago, and this time we ate up front at the tables. Both times we enjoyed our meals, and everything seemed fresh. You can order off the hibachi menu when you sit up front, which was nice. The two sushi rolls we ordered were very good.“

“While traveling, I stopped by KAZONE for a meal with friends. The atmosphere was classy and the staff were friendly, which was nice.
For the meal, I ordered pork cutlet, mixed buckwheat, and takoyaki, and I also ordered tteokbokki as a side menu. Everyone in my group enjoyed it and were satisfied. The pork cutlet was so meaty on the outside that it melted in your mouth. In particular, the tteokbokki was much more delicious than the tteokbokki I had eaten before. There was

Also you MUST try the Tokyo Shrimp here it is FANTASTIC!! The filet mignon melts in your mouth love the salmon lobster and scallops too. Their ginger sauce, yum yum sauce, AND salad dressing are all on point. It’s hard to find a place that does everything as well as Samurai. We drive from Ashburn just to come here for hibachi.“

We started off with the edamame and miso soup and salad. We were BLOWN away with how good everything was right off the bat! The house salad had a onion sauce on the top that was so good! Best house salad I’ve ever had at a sushi restaurant. Then we both had rolls that were amazing! Joanne was our waitress and she was so kind and efficient. “Come here every year for my birthday. The service is always great and fast. It’s dinner and a show. Jesus has cooked for us many times and he always recognizes my family and I. The chicken and steak teriyaki hibachi are my favorites. I love when they do the food toss at you to catch the shrimp in your mouth. The veggies always taste fresh and the food overall is amazing. If you tell them about a birthday they will come out with a big drum thing and sing for you- it’s hilarious. Overall a great place with amazing food!“

We didn't really like the seating space but Sushi quality was good for the price, delicious and good service.
