“Bartizan Events Venue was the perfect choice for my mother's 80th birthday party this weekend. The entire experience was outstanding, thanks to the venue's wonderful staff. From our very first meeting, they were professional, accommodating, and made the planning process a joy.

On the day of the event (August 9, 2025), the staff was incredibly attentive, and they went above and beyond to make the day magical for my mother. Guests were blown away by the food, and I've received countless compliments. One cousin even asked me if I thought she could get the recipe for the chicken!

The venue is conveniently located in Glen Allen with easy access to street parking and free public garages. I'm honestly a little sad the party is over because I loved working with Rachel and the team so much. I'm already looking for another excuse to host an event there. Bartizan is a definite five-star, full-service venue that I would recommend for any special occasion.“

“Waygone is my favorite brewery in the west end. I’m always greeted by name with a smile when I walk in and feel welcomed. This is also a go-to for my husband and I if we are getting together with friends who have kids. They have lots of toys and a side room area for playing. My favorite drinks are Bluey and the rosé wine. I also love playing darts. My dad (who can be picky about beer) lives down the road and now comes in here weekly too to pick up to-go cans. 10/10 spot!“

“Menu choice was consistent as in past visits, however this visit was a bit disappointing overall. Slipping and falling while turning the corner to the restrooms was not how I expected to end the visit. While attempting to get up, noticed entirely too much water left on the floor (same as in restroom), and NO "wet floor" signage placed. I alerted a staff member of what happened and that signage needs to be up. Staff needs to ensure to NOT leave excessive water when mopping and throw up signs.“

“Went to try E-Loteria after running across a Tik Tok food review. I have to say that the review was 100% spot on. This place is amazing! A true hidden gem that I think most people fly right by on a daily basis. We all got an order of the birria ramen and the birria balls. Both dishes were amazing and I can promise you will not leave feeling hungry. The food was fresh and well seasoned, packed full of flavor, and piping hot. You can not go wrong with either of those two choices. I am ready for a return trip to try the other dishes on the menu! The only real knock that I can give the experience was a bit slow for a work day lunch break, BUT I will follow that statement with there a massive delivery order ahead us that encompassed the delivery driver to take two trips to the car and five bags. I am going to give them a pass for that.“

The Beach House in Virginia is such a fun place to hang out! The whole beach-bar theme makes you feel like you’re kicking back on vacation, even if you’re just stopping by after work. It’s also an awesome spot to watch a game — plenty of TVs, great energy, and a crowd that actually gets into it.

The food was fantastic. I ordered buffalo wings — all flats and extra crispy — and they absolutely delivered. Big, meaty wings (none of those tiny “where’s the rest of it?” wings you get at some places), cooked perfectly and loaded with flavor.

Cocktails? Not weak at all. They know what they’re doing behind the bar, and it shows.

And the service… easily some of the best I’ve had. Friendly, fast, and super welcoming — the kind of staff that makes you want to come back again.

If you’re looking for great food, strong drinks, and a fun atmosphere to catch a game, The Beach House is the move!“

“This is a pleasant surprise… My wife and I are new to the area (6 Months) and over the past few months we have been in town have been trying places to compare to our classic back home “American style Chinese” favorites. This was a great meal. We called, placed to go, and drove 9 minutes to pick up our “ready in 15” order. When I walked in the man working the counter was bringing that all to familiar brown paper bag from the back. Just our luck it was my order, we had a great quick conversation and I headed on my way. Now, for the food, that’s what matters because after all this is not a sit down style place, so ignore those negative atmosphere reviews…

The order was $52 for crab Rangoon, steamed pork dumplings (real dumps, not someone trying to pass Goyza off as a dumpling!) and 2 warm fresh egg rolls. The mains were General tso’ chicken and a happy family. One order white and one order fried rice. All were a great balance of flavor, meat, vegetables and sauce. We are extremely pleased with the overall experience and I recommend anyone looking for a quick filling meal show this spot some support.

If you want a full sit down with a perfect designed interior and a wait staff, go to Shortpump and pay for it.

“We have come here the last couple of years for a Christmas party and have been served well. The staff is friendly and helpful and always willing assist wherever they can. The place is clean. The food is tasty and the portions are good. I would recommend this place for a party or gathering. It is a bit pricey, but the service is really great.“

“I was visit my parents and walked through our neighborhood to get some local coffee and breakfast on a Sunday morning. While I couldn’t sit/order inside because of the dogs, the barista was more than accommodating to take my order from their outdoor seating and bring me my food and drink. I don’t think it was on the menu but I ordered and espresso soda (espresso, club soda, vanilla syrup) and the barista was once again very accommodating and made it no problem. It was super good! I also ordered an egg and cheese on an English muffin which was delicious. Seemed like white cheddar and a soft fried egg. Would highly recommend this local place! I also appreciated how early they were open on a Sunday morning. I paid about $11 before tipping.“

“Habanero Mexican Grill has been my go-to spot for authentic Mexican food for several years now, and it consistently delivers when it comes to bold, flavorful dishes. The food here is absolutely delicious, with rich, vibrant flavors that make each meal feel like a true taste of Mexico. Whether it’s their tacos, burritos, or one of their specialty plates, you can always expect a meal that’s bursting with authentic taste. However, over time, I’ve noticed a few changes that have slightly impacted my overall experience. One issue is that there can sometimes be a language barrier when placing orders, as not all of the staff are fluent in English. This has led to a few mix-ups with my order on occasion. Additionally, I’ve observed a subtle decline in the quality of the food lately. While it’s still good, it’s not quite at the same exceptional level it once was.

Despite these minor issues, I continue to frequent Habanero Mexican Grill because the food remains some of the best Mexican in town. I hope they address these concerns so that they can restore the consistently high quality that originally won me over.“
