“I have been a patron of this establishment for over 30 years and in all that time I have never been asked to pay a gratuity fee. I have had birthday parties , baby showers and rehearsal dinner. I realize there was six in my party. Paying by two different checks. The owner whom my kids played with growing up tells me its on the menu that the its up to the server degression to use it or not. You know where it is on the menu???? All the way down at the bottom paste the food items. In smaller print. Sad to say I will no longer be a customer here thanks to the sever Miranda“

“We ate at the Mechanicsville location on our way home from out of state. I always order a chimichanga every time I have Mexican, which is often. I ordered one today with ground beef. When it was brought out to me it looked like a taquito ( a 1/3 of the size). A manager came over and was not happy when I told him that. He said that was their normal size chimi’s. To top it all off when I took my first bite It was shredded beef instead of ground beef. I put do NOT RECOMMEND and do not know what happened and now I cannot change it!!!!!!’“

It honestly doesn’t matter what you get it’s going to be delicious. If it’s on the menu when you go I highly recommend the Georgian flatbread, the bao buns, the chorreadas, or the cachapas!“

“The best restaurant in town! The outside of the building is unassuming. If you didn't know, you may pass it by. Entering, you are greeted by friendly and helpful hosts. The decor is somewhere between quirky NOLA and sexy seventies art scene. The lighting is low enough to be romantic and the music is perfect for the surroundings. The staff is well prepared and run like a well oiled machine. We ate at the bar, and let me tell you what a gift it is to be attended to by a bartender who knows what they're doing! Now, the FOOD. The menu is crafted by someone who loves the alchemy of flavors. Everything I have had has been a new experience and I am always pleasantly surprised at how well thought out and delicious every bite is. It is worth the price... Don't miss this place.“

“The restaurant was very open and spacious with a full bar. I thought it might be very noisy because of the incredibly tall ceilings, but it wasn't. Service was prompt and efficient, our order of chicken sandwich and beet salad arrived promptly. Both were good quality and quantity roughly $15 each. Great beer, wine and cocktail selection. Wasn't impressed with the rib egg roll, they were popular though. Street parking could be a challenge during peak dining hours.

“I went again last night (probably my 4th or 5th time in several years) - and Grisette just never misses. The smorgasbord is a must: beautiful house made pates and cured meats and fantastic cheeses, tailored to your preferences. A well curated menu of beautifully prepared sides and mains. Service is the way I love it - genuinely attentive and warm without going over the top. Prices are very fair for the quality and the level of attention to detail they bring to everything. One of my very favorites in town.“

-To me it's an intimate venue as you are close to the stage.
-They do have a bar on both levels.
-Parking can be tricky. Suggest arriving early to secure a good parking spot around the area.

We ordered and the food was brought to our table pretty quickly, which was good because we had another site to visit. The food was wonderful, absolutely delicious! “We came on a Saturday night for dinner. It was a bit unclear if you were to seat yourself or not, and the service was a bit slow due to how busy the bar was since a live band was starting soon. However, our experience overall was excellent.The biscuit is probably the best biscuit I've had at a restaurant, ever. Absolutely recommend. We tried three flavors of wings and all thought the gochujang was the most outstanding. The pinto beans, pickles, slaw, and chicken quesadilla were all flavorful and solid. We loved everything we tried.“

We each got 3 dogs and fries to split but were full after the 3 dogs so the fries (also great) went to waste. Service was fast considering it was trivia night so the place was pretty packed. Best place for new, inventive hot dog combos!“
