“5 stars Nicest locally owned franchise Arby’s we’ve ever visited. Beautiful interior that includes a live tree in the dining area, growing towards the skylights. The menu is more extensive compared to the norm, which includes some healthier options. We enjoyed a frozen custard shake made with fresh strawberries, banana and wheat germ. It was very clean and the staff were incredibly professional and friendly. If you are ever driving past Petersburg Va, it’s the place to stop!“

I stopped into Jersey Mike’s and ordered a Chipotle Cheesesteak with extra meat, extra cheese, and no peppers or onions. When I got home, I took a bite and immediately knew something wasn’t right. I opened the sandwich and realized I’d been given a chicken sandwich with peppers and onions instead.

I want to be absolutely clear about something: the sandwich itself was very well made. It had great proportions, was put together neatly, and wrapped properly. Whoever made it did an excellent job—it just wasn’t what I ordered.

For a few minutes I debated whether it was worth driving back because, honestly, it was a good sandwich. But Jersey Mike’s is a bit of a nostalgia meal for me, and when I order it, I want the sandwich I was craving.

I called the store, explained what had happened, and the employee who answered the phone immediately apologized and offered to remake it without any hesitation. I drove back, and my replacement was ready when I arrived. They exchanged the incorrect sandwich for the new one with no hassle at all.

When I got home and opened the replacement, it was another beautifully made sandwich—excellent distribution of meat and cheese, served hot, and this time made exactly the way I ordered it. It was honestly one of the best Jersey Mike’s sandwiches I’ve ever had.

Mistakes happen in every restaurant. What stands out is how a team responds when they happen, and these employees handled it professionally, politely, and quickly. They turned what could have been a frustrating experience into a great one, and I think every one of them deserves recognition for that.

P.S. As a funny little side effect of all this, I’ll actually be trying one of your chicken sandwiches next time I come in—probably with bacon and ranch. I had never tried your chicken before because I always come for the cheesesteaks, but even though it wasn’t what I ordered, it was genuinely good. So thanks for accidentally introducing me to something new.“

“Steve was so helpful. Unfortunately this location uses DoorDash for their delivery and the driver stole our food. I called because they only delivered the breadsticks and not the pizza or wings. The girl riding with the delivery driver said they picked up the wrong order so to call the store. I did watch them sit in front of my driveway and open the bag in the car. I didn’t think they were stealing our food. Steve (the manager) told me that was likely what happened and it definitely was! He got our order back out and gave us a credit. Thank a Steve! “I took my daughter there after leaving the ER, because she hadn't had anything to eat all day. The restaurant was clean, it was in a convenient location from leaving the ER, and the young man working that night was very nice and pleasant. I didn't order anything, but my daughter really enjoyed her sub on flatbread!“

“This is the best McDonald’s I’ve been to in some time. The staff is very friendly, which goes a long way in my book. Also, this was the fastest service that I’ve gotten at any fast food restaurant recently. On top of all that, the food was actually pretty good. The coffee is always pretty good at McDonalds, but my breakfast sandwich and tater tot were prepared well and quite tasty as well. Excellent work!“
