“We recently had lunch at the Surry Seafood Company while in the area. we were looking for a seafood restaurant, and it did not disappoint! Our server was fantastic and on top of everything. Our food came out in short time, and it was delicious! To top things off, the view of the River was fantastic. Every seat in the restaurant seemed to have a wonderful scenic view. We even saw a Bald Eagle dip into the river and pull out a fish! Afterwards, we walked down to the marina and enjoyed a few minutes there as well. Highly recommend, and worth the drive to dine here!“

“What a wonderful evening we had! We sat at the bar and were offered cocktail suggestions and pairings. The food was absolutely wonderful. The bartenders were very friendly and accommodating. The chef/owner came to see us after dinner too! We will remember this as one of our the best nights out!“

“My family will definitely return when we are back in town with one caveat…I won’t order a banana split again. It was very extremely “soupy” and practically melted when I picked it up from the counter. I convinced myself it was a result of having hot fudge as one of my toppings but I think I’m being generous. My wife told me to say something, but quite honestly I dislike such encounters and we arrived near close. Also, I was just happy her custard and daughter’s custard exceeded their expectations. “We have always loved walking Capitol trail with our kids, but having spoke and art there now makes it so much more enjoyable! “If you give Brusters some bananas on Thursdays you can get a half off banana 🍌 split and we just give them the bananas and I ask them if they can put no bananas on it and they say yes 👍🏼 and theirs a food lion across from Bruster’s so you can just get the bananas 🍌 at their ! It has very good service and the best ice cream 🍦 ever we go their almost every Thursday yay !“

“I first tried their Irish Red Ale at the Corner Pocket Billards Center and loved it. I went to their brewery yesterday and purchased two six packs on sale for $10, per six. They have an incredible venue inside and out. Their Oktoberfest was great also!“

“A hidden gem! From the outside it looks like a wine store and it is- BUT so much more! Everyone is so kind and knowledgeable! The food is out of this world! We tried the baked feta with cranberries, honey and grilled pita. Then we tried their special- a bratwurst burger! Definitely a top shelf burger! Will definitely be going back! “We had a wonderful dining experience from the welcoming greeters at the door to our wonderful server. The food was amazing from pea soup to steak to dessert, and the punch bowl! The Pringle’s ginger beer drink was very good, too. My daughter loved the oysters. It was a wholesome experience with live music and authenticity in the details (even the silverware is made in Williamsburg). It was also a treat to eat somewhere where historical figures dined in colonial times, but also really an art form to serve a menu inspired by recipes from the 1700s (and everything tasted amazing and fresh). The service was pretty impeccable for the whole staff (lots of servers, greeters, and staff).“

“FB doesn’t give “adorable goats” and “goat tower” as choices for a recommendation, but it should. Hampton Roads Winery has both. And wine — very good wine. We were shepherded into the winery by Augie the canine host, at which point Diane the human hostess took over and told us all about how she and her husband came to have the winery, the goats, and the goat tower. We had a light snack and a glass of Bacon’s Castle Win (not a typo) by a window where we could watch the goats cavort on their tower. Altogether a lovely afternoon. We will definitely be back. And you should definitely go too.“

Center Street Grill is a hidden gem in Williamsburg that we stumbled on thanks to a post on Neighbor to Neighbor. When I read the post I had to check out and I am so glad my husband and our good friend did. We were not disappointed and ready to go back! We will definitely add Center Street Grill to our go to place for date night and a hang out with friends!! I highly recommend!“

“We made a late dinner reservation for my family. When we arrived we were greeted by the friendly staff and seated immediately. We had a nice table in their dining room and our Waitress Samantha took our order quickly. We stared with the fried oysters which were absolutely delicious, then I had the Blue Cheese Burger, my sister had the turkey burger and my mom had the shrimp and chicken jambalaya. The kids had the chicken nuggets and grilled cheese. Everything was delicious and I loved my burger. I am not a huge blue cheese fan but that burger was amazing. Everything was made fresh and the service was excellent. I will definitely be back.“

“I went there on my last night in the Williamsburg area. I ordered the meatloaf from the bartender, and I took a photo after taking one bite. After I finished, I told the bartender that I was disappointed. The meatloaf was phenomenal, but I wish I had another night to eat there again!“

“I ordered the pork schnitzel. It was delicious - crispy outside and moust and tasty inside. Liked the red canbage. A little too much garlic on the spaetzle but still delicious. I had one of the house drinks and it was very smooth and had a nice combo of flavors.“
