“Never have been to Meadows before; but I will be back. The custard tasted sooooo good. The people were nice and patient. Everything looked so good and it was hard to make a choice. “We have always loved walking Capitol trail with our kids, but having spoke and art there now makes it so much more enjoyable! First walk of the season, we stopped in for lunch and were totally unaware of the live music!!! What a great addition to this already amazing little place! Thanks for a great day!“

“I tried to order over phone but there was no answer so I went over and ordered my banana split in the drive thru. The service was outstanding and tasted great. After I returned home, I recieved a phone call saying they had missed my call and if there was something that they could do. I told them that I drove over and picked up what I wanted and it was no big deal about the phone call. I was amazed by the fact they they called me back and how sorry they were for missing my call. The young people at this business have always been very polite and this business has the best customer service I have ever had. Please thank them for their great customer service.“

“A hidden gem! From the outside it looks like a wine store and it is- BUT so much more! Everyone is so kind and knowledgeable! The food is out of this world! We tried the baked feta with cranberries, honey and grilled pita. Then we tried their special- a bratwurst burger! Definitely a top shelf burger! Will definitely be going back! Almost forgot homemade baked goods!!“

“We had a wonderful dining experience from the welcoming greeters at the door to our wonderful server. The food was amazing from pea soup to steak to dessert, and the punch bowl! The Pringle’s ginger beer drink was very good, too. My daughter loved the oysters. It was a wholesome experience with live music and authenticity in the details (even the silverware is made in Williamsburg). It was also a treat to eat somewhere where historical figures dined in colonial times, but also really an art form to serve a menu inspired by recipes from the 1700s (and everything tasted amazing and fresh). The service was pretty impeccable for the whole staff (lots of servers, greeters, and staff).“
“FB doesn’t give “adorable goats” and “goat tower” as choices for a recommendation, but it should. Hampton Roads Winery has both. And wine — very good wine. We were shepherded into the winery by Augie the canine host, at which point Diane the human hostess took over and told us all about how she and her husband came to have the winery, the goats, and the goat tower. We had a light snack and a glass of Bacon’s Castle Win (not a typo) by a window where we could watch the goats cavort on their tower. Altogether a lovely afternoon. We will definitely be back. And you should definitely go too.“

“The food is excellent and our server Matthew was the best! He was personable, excellent communicator, knowledgeable, attentive and we enjoyed getting to know him. Everything we ate was delicious. Center Street Grill is a hidden gem in Williamsburg that we stumbled on thanks to a post on Neighbor to Neighbor. When I read the post I had to check out and I am so glad my husband and our good friend did. We were not disappointed and ready to go back! We will definitely add Center Street Grill to our go to place for date night and a hang out with friends!! I highly recommend!“

“I went there on my last night in the Williamsburg area. I ordered the meatloaf from the bartender, and I took a photo after taking one bite. After I finished, I told the bartender that I was disappointed. The meatloaf was phenomenal, but I wish I had another night to eat there again!“

“We made a late dinner reservation for my family. When we arrived we were greeted by the friendly staff and seated immediately. We had a nice table in their dining room and our Waitress Samantha took our order quickly. We stared with the fried oysters which were absolutely delicious, then I had the Blue Cheese Burger, my sister had the turkey burger and my mom had the shrimp and chicken jambalaya. The kids had the chicken nuggets and grilled cheese. Everything was delicious and I loved my burger. I am not a huge blue cheese fan but that burger was amazing. Everything was made fresh and the service was excellent. I will definitely be back.“

“I ordered the pork schnitzel. It was delicious - crispy outside and moust and tasty inside. Liked the red canbage. A little too much garlic on the spaetzle but still delicious. I had one of the house drinks and it was very smooth and had a nice combo of flavors.“

“This was our first visit and we had so much fun. The bartender was very knowledgeable and turned me on to a DownEast Cider Donut cider. Chatted with Franklin (owner) for awhile and got a little background on the place. There was a small group/band playing and they did a great job and had a everyone singing and dancing. I would recommend if you're in the area to visit. Great neighborhood place“

“We recently had lunch at the Surry Seafood Company while in the area. we were looking for a seafood restaurant, and it did not disappoint! Our server was fantastic and on top of everything. Our food came out in short time, and it was delicious! To top things off, the view of the River was fantastic. Every seat in the restaurant seemed to have a wonderful scenic view. We even saw a Bald Eagle dip into the river and pull out a fish! Afterwards, we walked down to the marina and enjoyed a few minutes there as well. Highly recommend, and worth the drive to dine here!“
