We didn't really like the seating space but Sushi quality was good for the price, delicious and good service.

“The best meal I’ve had in my entire life. It’s a small, intimate environment; I’d recommend the chef’s counter. The wait staff was terrific; explaining every dish and answering questions. (The chef is also happy to talk too.) Every dish in the tasting was terrific, particular highlights were the wagyu two-ways entree, the ravioli with uni butter, and the soup at the end. Of course, it’s a seasonal menu, so you’ll probably be seeing something different—but I’m confident it’ll be excellent. Also, the cocktails were terrific.

We didn’t add the caviar, as it felt kind of like a hat on a hat, but hey… live your best life.

I will also say, with omakase menus, we often worry that we won’t be full at the end. That was not an issue. It was the perfect amount of food for us.“

“Born and raised in Japan, I am pretty judgmental when it comes to any establishments claiming to be “Japanese.”

I had miso soup ($4), Toro Bowl ($28) and hot tea ($3).

Toro Bowl: I was not impressed, but definitely this dish was not disgusting like some other fake Japanese restaurants serve. Ikura wasn’t the freshest, and the three sheets of nori (sea weeds) were stale (thus making it chewy rather than crispy) and tasted very cheep. Overall it was “Okay”

Miso soup: I was pleasantly surprised with how they have used decent amount of dashi in their soup (like how they do it in Japan), giving it an authentic twist. The soup was flavorful and I enjoyed it.

Tea: this was another pleasant surprise to receive what it mocked as Genmai-cha (tea with roasted rice bits in it). Well done.

From what you get in DMV area, I’d give a 4 stars or even 4.5 stars. As an overall “Japanese” izakaya, I’d put this in 3 stars range.“

“I’ve found a new favorite Japanese restaurant! Real Japanese food made with actual Japanese ingredients, not the same as the stuff you find in mall food courts or at that [FAST]way chain joint. I ordered the Chicken and Steak Hibachi and the Chicken Yakisoba, and they were both delicious! Portions aren’t generous though, but healthy; you won’t feel overstuffed after eating.“

We started off with the edamame and miso soup and salad. We were BLOWN away with how good everything was right off the bat! The house salad had a onion sauce on the top that was so good! Best house salad I’ve ever had at a sushi restaurant. Then we both had rolls that were amazing! Joanne was our waitress and she was so kind and efficient. “I absolutely love this place, their crepes are incredible. I’ve had the matcha chocolate truffle and the lychee rose and both were excellent. The crepe itself is so crisp and the fillings are always balanced and not too sweet. My only feedback is I wish they had knives and plates to put the crepe on; I was sharing two with a friend and it was impossible to cut them with plastic forks and try to share. Besides that it’s so delicious and I can’t wait to try more of them!“

“I discovered this restaurant after getting my lashes done at Evalash and decided to give it a try since it’s relatively new. I’m so glad I did! I ordered the spicy kimchee fried rice to go and enjoyed some spring rolls and wine while I waited. The spring rolls came out quickly, were perfectly crisp, and absolutely delicious — I wish I’d ordered extra to take home! But the real standout was the fried rice. Packed with flavor, the kimchee was just right, and the pork belly I chose as my protein made it even better. I’ll definitely be coming back!“
